also can get firepit at lvl 61 got it tonight no prolem and 3 boxed in there of course the named as far as i can tell dont pop in there then but great exp
From what I know, they changed it to where the mobs that did not aggro (rtas and bats) are now KOS. For the Murk cave this means use IVU through caves where Murks are, and then regular Invis in the tunnels connecting that have rats and bats which aggro. Haven't tried it but friends have said it is a pain.
As far as see invis mobs in any of the hollows expeditions I don't think so. It would just seem that way in Murks now that ALL mobs are kos, not just the undead.
Is it still possible to invis to this guy's room? i know that in the murkglider hive expedition thy've added some see invis mobs, i was kinda curious if they changed the fire pit expedition as well? Thanks in advance!
Has anyone actually got the second NAMED to spawn in the 65-67 cave? We have hunted in this cave a lot but never been able to locate the second PH or named. Killed the Cavescout a lot though. Any hints would be appreciated.
I introduced my guild to these zones, using Firepit Expedition statrted by me (65 Paladin) as a base to learn the zone and get drops.
We have found this mob spawn in the Firepit room. The maps at MAP RENDERING.COM are not accurate for Hollows B. I assume this may be possibly that a higher level zone (level 67+ ??) is set up a bit different.
However, if you have a level 65-66 start this zone, you should get this mob to spawn as follows:
Zone in, head through several tunnels, DUE WEST the whole way until you get to a room with a large firepit that looks reminiscent of an old cast-iron witches cauldron with black and red-glowing material in it. You will find 2 spawns standing right next to it with about 8-9 mobs total in the entire room. Those 2 spawns will be Nocs. They stand with 1 one the East side of the Pit/Cauldron, and 1 on the west side of the Pit/Cauldron. They are close enough to each other that to aggro one will pull the other, unless you monk-split or pacify one.
The PH for the Cavescout was the Noc on the WEST SIDE of the Cauldron. This can be a Warrior or a Flashblade. Warriors have more HP, Flashblades have a higher resist rate to Pacify by a 67 cleric using the pre-OoW Pacify spell (effective up to level 65 mobs).
We will usually use one of the side tunnels to set up camp - clear the one roamer EACH tunnel has (WEST, EAST, and NORTH Tunnels each have 1 roamer). Once cleared, we essentially work the room for AA XP.
As of this date, we have gone 4 times, the first time for 3 hours, no Named. Second time Named 2x in 2.5 hours. Drops were 1 Muramite Rune, 2 Necks, 1 Shield. 3rd time 2 hours 2 spawns - 2 necks, 1 Muramite Rune. 4th time, 2.5 hours, many deaths (too many people who came and left and joined, etc - too many trips back and forth spent getting replacements and getting people out of there), 1 spawn - 1 neck 1 Muramite Rune.
Recommendations - get a group that will stay a long time - makes it a lot easier. Slow is not necessary - but makes mana loss a LOT less of a problem. Get a dedicated slower. Bards, Monks and Pacify are best for pull, in that order. Or else, have a dedicated CC person (Chanter, Bard mez, etc.) Using root to park mobs is ok, unless you have a committed dotter with you - then you will waste a LOT of mana keeping adds locked in place. Control That DOTTER - Spank em into submission if you have to. A Wizzy is always a nice addition and makes things go faster.
Balance your group nicely and you will easily own here. AA xp is in the 1-3% range. I was told by one person 1% per kill, I was getting close to 2% per kill (2-2.5 blue notches per kill, about 50-55 kills to level an AA), and one person claimed 3% on 2 kills, but he is using a UI with % shown, I am not.
I will continue to search Fire Pit for 65-66 for a while and will post when I find the other named locations.
Iarlagar, The second PH is in the very last "L" shaped room, before you head north to the end of the cave. I got the info from Emdar's post. There are 2 commoners in the room. One is next to a set of rocks, the other is to the left of him near corner. The one (commoner)in the corner is the PH. This is for the 65-67 Firepit expd. The named is Dragorn Firekeeper, has a few nasty dots too. He has only dropped the spaulders for us and we have killed him about 4 times.
I have done this exp. twice now and the first time the noc warrior was right where he should be.. but on the second attempt there was no Noc warrior in in this room or anywhere nearby.
Ok check it out, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CLEAR TO PH. I have confirmed this myself you can invs and run to fire pot room, clear room and wait for PH.
This is the best spell farm spot I have found so far, scince it is an instanced zone I will share my information on how its done.
1-Get group of 6 players try to keep everyone level 66-68.
2-I always get expeditions myself as sometimes people who have never done watering hole get that one even if level range of group is correct.
3- Zone in, invs, run to fire pit room.
4- Clear fire pit room and kill PH.
5- Wait for re-pop (which if you havent noticed is incredibly fast here)
6- If at any time during the expedition you get 5 PH's in a row, leave expedition, and get a new one and go back to step 1.
This guy ALWAYS drops ethier a minor, lesser, or normal muramite rune plus the shield or the necklace, necklace isnt useful really but you can make a pretty penny in bazaar with the shield. Using this method and a strong DPS group I am averaging 3 runes an hour in this expedition. Your groups will tend to last longer than normal ones once people see that you know what you are doing and your getting spell drops left and right.
The reason for the 5 PH's is sometimes for some reason I dont understand yet, maybe bad luck, the named just stops popping, he can pop right in a row as well, my record so far was 8 named with no PH in between, needless to say that was a good day.
"Get group of 6 players try to keep everyone level 66-68." I went there the other day with the following, 66 dru, 66 ench, 65 pally, 65 bst, 65 ranger. Do you NEED 6 people, or is that just a recommendation? We owned the place, and made some great exp. I just want to know if rares will still spawn if we dont have 6 people.
No you dont "Need" 6 people, you only need 3, I reccomend 6 because its hard to keep your level range at 66 and you seem to be assigned cave 1 if your group average is under 66, cave 2 the one you want if your group average is at 66, and cave 3 if your group average is over 66.
I was grouping in Firepit all night last night got Kyv to spawn 3 out of 15 ph kills. It just so happend that when Kyv poped we had killed every mob that spawns in the pit includeing chanters charmed pet. can anyone conferm if this is way to spawn him or is he just random after PH kill?
I was thinking the PH's would be the same race as the named that spawned in it's place. Was trying to keep track and thought this named spawned in the same spot that a Kyv Bloodhunter was in.
Cleared all the way up to this guys big room. When the zone repoped he spawned in the spot the other person was talking about. Killed him 2 times and he respawned in the same spot. Each time he droped the neck thing, no shield :(. Between killings we just did normal pulls from farther down in the zone, not sure if you have to kill a certian amount for him to respawn.
Got this guy to pop quite a few times, he is named for the 2nd dranik caves zone, the fire pit one.
Enter the zone, go straight at every intersection you come to until you reach a large room with a big black pot in the middle with burning rocks in it, in this room when you face in you will see "a noc warrior" slightly behind and to the right of the fire pot.
Kill him.
Might as well clear the room at this point as it will make things easier for you. When the room re-pops the named will spawn where the noc warrior was.
Out of 7 tries I have seen him pop 6 times, every time he dropped the FT3 shield and a lesser or a minor muramite rune.
--->GUESSWORK<---- The 6 times we got him to pop we cleared to that room from zone in and then waited for re-pop, the one time I couldnt get him to spawn we invsed up and ran there then cleared the room 17+ times with named never popping. Not sure if this is a "kill so many before it will pop" zone, or maybe if you have to kill a certain number before you kill ph, or if I just had bad luck one time. Also even though I usally clear the camp 3-10 more times after named is dropped, I have yet to see him spawn more than 1 time per expedition, again that could just be bad luck.
