Had them on track and must have wandered around for 15 minutes trying to find them. Finally I discovered you have to stick your head in the sand under the wall of the structure and you can see them and you can "push" yourself under the building.

Easy fight

Sat on the beech while my Warrior box pulled (had one of those handy dandy I can swim underwater forever earrings). Brought all 3 to shore with the Warrior and let the warrior beat to death, with druid ds buff and ds potion. Only reason the druid was there was to pick up the item and activate the mobs when the druid entered the zone with the bag in thier inventory.

This fight was not challenging at all. As a matter of fact, it was more challenging trying to remember how to get there than it was to do the fight. 70 War tanked it, druid nuked with AOEs. Fight lasted maybe 2 minutes tops. They have a few more Hit points than most bloodgills, but they hit like wimps. Health barely moved down at all. Didn't even have to heal the tank at all. Don't know how hard they would have hit the druid, but from the time we zoned out of POK - until the port back into POK, was maybe 10 minutes, most of that time was spent zoning and casting succor to save on the long hikes across the zones.

VERY EASY FIGHT. If you die on this epic fight for the druid 1.5, you should just delete your toon now... It really was that easy.

Just killed today with my Lvl 70 Dru...no problem. Have your Dmg Shield and regen up, add your pet if you want not needed though. Didn't go below 98% health or have to heal once. Just make sure to go to south side of building and to the eastern side of it. You are going underneath the foundation of the building to get to them. Also wanted to add that Pristine Animal Pelt, Crystallized Sulfur, and Salil's Writ Pg. 153 also dropped as well as the hair. The pelts were a nice bonus considering how weak they were
Seems to easy

my 65 druid just soloed on tunare server DS few lower dots and regen ... cake. seems if you time casts right can land dots under 5sec cast time. they don't hit hard at all was self buffed with bo9 and mask didn't bring me below 98%
Hahahaha this event is hilarious .. guide on how to win
# Jun 25 2006 at 12:26 PM Rating: Decent
hahahahahaha ... this is too damn easy

I was nervous going into this event, what a piece of cake. The three mobs spawn UNDERNEATH the Veksar tower. As posted before, goto the very southeastern corner of the tower ... now, there isnt a door or anything, there is a crack between the tower itself and the lake floor. Swim under this crack, and there are your 3 uglies.

For this event ... make sure you have a faerune item, or have your everlasting breath fresh. MOST IMPORTANT ... load up on all your damage shields, and make sure they are refreshed right before you engage. At level 70 I was using my nettle shield, and nettlecoat, which is 72dmg per hit. ALSO ... load up on all your regen, I used my level 55 aura and Blessing of Oak.

Ok, swim underneath the tower. The three mobs will be there, all dark blue conned to me at level 70.

1st. None snare, none root .. they are immune to run change, all three of them.
So dont even mem these spells.

2nd. They all three will gang up on you. This is good!~ With your max regen and max da mage shield, they beat themselves up!

3rd. They hit a lot, a lot a lot. BUT they hit for like 2-5 dmg. kick for 10-15dmg. Pitiful. I let them beat on me for about 10mins and they killed themselves. At no time did I drop below 99% health /yawn

4th. Dont load up your big nukes. You will be interrupted constantly. Instead, load up on fire damage DoTs, and your quickest casting fire damage nukes from lower levels. They dont have many hitpoints, so try to find something that casts fast, load up on a couple different fire nukes and just keep casting. I probably landed 6 spells in 10mins.

5th. They wont run until its just the one left standing. I cycled through them after hitting one with a spell, so I kept them all at about the same health % between the 3 mobs. When I had one left, he was running at 3% health, the other two dying close to together. One simple nuke and done.

6th. Stay to the south of the area. The north will just make you squat/duck, there isnt much room. You are not going to outswim them, turn and nuke. So just sit tight in the south, and keep trying to land those quick casts.

Ok go win, this is easy =D
Please put this in epic walkthrough?

I would have never found these guys if I hadn't read the posts here. Please put the location of the goblins in the epic walkthrough, as I am sure there are many more people out there that do what I did, i.e. not read further than the walkthrough.

Before I read all the notes that follow, I went out and searched SO LONG for the way in to the 'dome' the mobs despawned. Now, I am hoping I don't have to wait a week for them to respawn on zone in, OR worst case that I don't have to redo everything up to this point... bleh

Ok, it took about 2 hours for them to respawn. I just messed around a bit in Frontier Mntns - and zoned back into Ill Omen - everything went down just as I expected from these post's here. SO READ ALL THE POSTS BELOW Smiley: jester

Took these guys down very quickly with level 70 druid. Harmony and then pulled. 1217 AC and they were consistantly hitting me for about 2 damage per attack (yes, that's 2). Dotted and Porcupined them. All were immune to run speed changes, but only one dropped the epic item.

Way over-conned for a level 58 mob.

Epic mob also dropped A faded salil's writ (Spelling) and one of the non epic ones dropped an ancient coin.

They were spawned under the platform as stated in earlier posts, and as in earlier post i attempted to tank with bear (bear was virtued, replenishment, and thorned up) while i was buffed up with kei, MoH, PoC, and a few other buffs inc. both thorns. Pet tanked two mobs while i pulled on away took about 10 mins with just winged death and drifting death dots hitting most of the time and clicky dots Wrath of Nature, and drones of dome on occasion hitting.
quick and easy

They spawned like normal. When I got near Veksar zone line I just brought up tracking. They are under the building like everyone is saying. I pulled them to land however and had my DS and Nettle shield/Nettle Coat up and kited them with AE nukes. They interrupted alot but I never got below 95% health and the max I was hit for was 14points. They resisted a couple casts of Tempest Wind but most landed. The stun only landed twice on me. Pretty simple just used a full bar of mana. Took 4-5 minutes.

Patience
# Mar 11 2005 at 12:35 AM Rating: Decent
This part of the epic is definately about patience. It took me 45 minutes to kill all three goblins. I couldnt get them to spawn unless I entered the zone with my epic 1.0 equipped as well as having the bag. Dont know if anyone else has had this problem. They seemed to be stuck under the foundation and couldnt be pulled to the bank. I used AoE cold nuke until mana ran out then just let them beat on me with DS on and used the clicky from epic 1.0 to add a little extra to the damage. When KEI allowed me to regen mana for another nuke I backed off and AoEed the lot again, rinse repeat. Also if you use wolf form you can fit under the foundation without being stuck or unable to cast spells or attack with melee. Hope this helps.

Note* I tried the idea of using my 1hs epic weapon during the melee to raise skill in it since I have a whole whopping 1point in 1hs. During the whole fight I got 6 skill ups. At least you dont have to be concerned about being killed though lol. I never understood why the druid epic was 1hs when the Kelethin quest about the destruction of edged weapons specifically forbids druids from using such an item. *ponders the flaw in this theory*

EQ does/used to do the same thing D&D does: Druids aren't allowed to use metal (hence leather armor instead of chain/plate) with the exception that they can use scimitars (Which is why druids have 1hs but the only 1hs weapons tagged as druid usable will be scimitars)
druid pet
# Jan 27 2005 at 10:23 AM Rating: Decent
65 druid here

I actually used my wimpy druid pet bear to tank one. With KEI and two sets of thorns and a regen I sat back on my drogmor and just dotted the other two. I had to heal my pet once.

These guys seem great to come back to some time and just practice my 1HS on them. If you have any problems just run away.

With their interruptions and stuns you have to cast several times to get a spell off, but no real problems. Enhanching your spell casting speed would be a plus, but not a necessity, and be sure to buf up and renew any current spells before hand, you'll be casting for a while.

access under the foundation
# Nov 26 2004 at 10:23 AM Rating: Decent
The location of the access under the foundation of the structure is -750, -625, -200. As already posted, this is on the south side of the building and all the way on the ocean floor. I passed by it several times because of the perspective. You've got to really look close to see that its a gap between the ocean floor and the bottom edge of the building.
I also would warn that you should be careful under there. I kept getting stunned and knocked backward. I became pinned between the ground and the underside of the building. It was such a narrow space that I was *squatting* and unable to cast. In fact, my whole party experienced this. I was finally able to turn my body toward the opening and let them beat me out of there. Thankfully, my regen was enough to overcome the 5 damage they were dealing. lol.
In my party was 63 druid, 65 cleric, and a 53 wizzy. I would recommend doing this one with melee dps. While these critters are no match for the nukes and DoTs, they are fast and manage to interrupt 95-99 percent of the spells we were casting.

The location -750, -625, -200 is correct - however, tnis is near the southernmost end of the east side of the building; it is not on the south side.

Dunno if a change with the last patch, but I found all 3 of them were immune to snare and root. They don't hit for anything but they interrupt a LOT. The best way is to max up your damage shields, get a haste, load up your fastest-casting nukes and DOTs and tank them.

With my luck, the third one had the quest item and he started running away at 20%. Since he can't be snared or rooted, and I was OOM after killing his two buddies, I had to chase after him, slashing away for a good 3-4 minutes before he dropped.

Yeah, none were rootable or snareable for me either. I wasted a lot of time trying to switch targets under water to get the right one (then I got my head outta my rear and pulled them to land). They hit fast and interrupt a lot, but hit me for a max of maybe 10.

Put up a self cast DS and your next highest version (single or group) as well as your fastest nukes / DoTs and you should be okay. I used my stun wind nuke (Stormwatch) to help stun them as well and get some extra damage done when the DoTs would not land due to interrupt.

I just did this. I am a 65 Druid. Here's my take

Zone in, run towards the Veksar zone in and keep clicking track. They'll pop fairly soon on track. You do find yourself on a big underwater hill that is sorta on top of a platform. If you swim around the bottom of this platform; invised so the gobos leave ya alone, you'll see an area that is lifted off the ground. They are under this area.

I cast root on one, resisted and came at me. Bringing the other 2 for a party. I swam to shore, brought my droggy up and dotted them. Never resisted a single dot.

Now the annoying part: they all hit for like 3 -5 points of damage. Regen kept up with it easy but they kept interupting me. So dotting them was a little annoying. None of them could be rooted or snared, glitch? maybe but that was my experience. Just keep thorns and regen on and recast the dots. I used Swarm, Imm of Ro and Winged. The 9 sec epic 1 dot took WAY too long and never made it without interupt.

The last one did walk at 8% but never got far with the DoTs cooking'em.

All in all rather easy. Now if they hit for serious damage it would have been a differnet outcome.

Good Luck.

Neudiin - Sol Ro - holla if ya need help

Got them to spawn today. Keep DS up. Lock dots down on them and sit on your horse. Only way to kill them. Melee doesn't work well.
were and how
# Oct 02 2004 at 3:13 PM Rating: Decent
Just took this mob down with my 65 Druid. Took a bit. There were 3 of them at the camp and one I could not Root or ensnare. After rooting the other 2 I started dotting the last one. He has a fare amount of hit points and will run at about 5% HP.

In the center of the water area is were they are. But you have to look for the spot to go in to there camp. Find were were they are with track and then you will see you are on a hill under the water. Swim to the bottom side of the hill and start looking around at the ground ende of the wall there. You will see a small opening to swim thru. They are down there.
