ok if this mob has a set spawn time anyone know what it is? killed him 3 days ago and still not up

Easy solo, 75 Bst. pulled came with 2 adds killed them. Went back to named and when i almost had it dead he summoned another add. Overall very easy fight max hit 738 and he did it once.

I managed to solo this guy, I'm also a 70 SK with stats very similar to the guy below. This is a difficult FD split. It seems to take generally 4 or 5 splits to get him alone but whereas with most other mobs once you've got them split you're golden, not necessarily with this one. Granted it doesn't say in an emote or in says, he would summon his pets to him from their spawn points (generally 1 or 2 of them) about 30 seconds or so after engaging him. I was plenty far away from his spawn point and this happened to me more than once.

The DS makes him somewhat more likely to stay with you on a split attempt but I found he would very often return to his spawn anyway. I've also tried dotting him, nuking him, meleeing him some. None of them seems to be a surefire way to get him to remain on a split.

After you do get him split, I recommend you get up and run further away from his spawn point, this might prevent his pets from coming some of the time. He also doesn't summon FYI, so if you're worried about doing too much damage to him and getting summon, don't worry, his pets do summon though.

I will add that he can hit into the low 720's. I was kinda suprised but he did hit me for that once (I may have had my back to him).

Ok here is how i do it... (70 ranger 10k+hp) i verry carefully sneak up to the kyv from the hill and make sure no wanderers, then hit the kyv with one arrow and cast aa innate camo and run to the blood fields zoneline, 99 % of the time (long as u have insta invis) you will get only one unkun with ya and lots of times he doesnt run all the way to the zoneline so then its a single pull one healing pot mebe a self heal thats it

It surprised me to see that no one has posted on soloing this guy. Any bard can solo this guy 60 plus. If you have the veteran AA infusion of the faithfull this guys is a piece of cake. He doesnt summon but his ukun dogs do, therefore do not harm them just kite chant the Kyv Headhunter, none of his spells will be able to land on you. After you have killed him just use faded memories on him and all the mobs that you have aggroed during the encounter will go away. Inviz yourself come back and loot whatever he drops. Most of the time he drops the Darkened steel saber, sometimes u get the 25 hp aug, and Ive only gotten the 3 regen ring once. Ive killed this guy over 20 times this techniche works like a charm..

Okay have tried this guy, he's okay.

There's a special strat that should be easy enough to do, but:

1. MT on the Kyv.
2. Rest kill Ukuns.

OR

1. MT on the Kyv.
2. Each person takes 1 Ukun to deal with.

It's more effective to kill ukuns while MT gets Kyv, but gatta get their aggro fast or else you're MT might be screwed. His friends are what stop people from soloing.

This guy always comes with 3 Ukun BoneRetriever(s). Do not think he's easy it's a 4 mob encounter.

Hello guys. I recently pulled this guy and my group killed him, i died because the healer wasn't quite fast enough to get to me =/ . Anyway when i got back, i asked around what he dropped and no one claimed he dropped anything but a brilliant kyv quiver if he dropped anything at all. Anyway is it possible for him not to drop one of the items above, or does he always drop something. I'm thinking someone ninjad and didn't fess up =(

killed him today with a bard(69) - cleric(67)duo and ran into some interesting facts

Inital pull with bard i got the Headhunter + 1 pet

i pulled both to the bloodfields zoneline , once theire i use highsun to send the pet back to the spawn spot and used fadeing memory's

as a result we ended up with the Headhunter and during the fight we had no adds at all

the Headhunter himself can be chainstunned and that saved a lot on healing for the rest it was just beating him down

bard tanked whole fight with 9k cleric was down to 50% mana because he used mainly fast heals

1 small sidenote , his dogs seemed to despawn when the Headhunter died

droped the +25 hp augment

This guy killed me once when I didnt know his dogs were linked.

Level 66 raped by him and hounds after getting rooted within sight of the two towers trying to run away. If only I had popped my horse. Why oh why was I running on foot?

Then later I pulled the saves aug ukun placeholder, then the nearest static noc out from there.

Guess what? Yep I didn't know his dogs were unrootable, unsnareable, and for level 51s hit for 300s.

Me and enchanter dead.

It is a good thing when I was playing on my mid level rogue in a group at the saves aug camp that this a-hole wasn't up.

Him or his dogs will come running from a mile away just like Subaru said.

Dropped me this:

Mask of the Eyeless Servant

Solo'd him today, first time I didn't even know he was there and subsequently died from him and his dogs.

After that I took the advice of the necro and pulled the static mobs, resulting in me getting 2 both his dogs together without the owner. Then pulled another static and got him. Had to back up and heal myself a few times and defensive, but fairly standard fight. Was hitting me on average for 400-500 max for 668.
