Trio'd in era with Anguish geared warrior and Time+ geared zerker and shaman.

Quick Stats:
450k HP
1,080 Max hit
98 avg dps on the tank, but its aoe required healing of everyone in group eventually for a total avg dps of 240.

Fight took almost exactly 5 minutes. Just keep ahead of the healing a little as the spin stun lasts for 7.5 seconds and is unresistable.
easy fight

Duo'd with lv 70 Anguish geared paladin with lv 70 shaman for heals. Took about 20 minutes. Not too difficult, just slow. Pulled to beach/dirt and killed it there.
Used my Epic 2.0 (no shield), around 1150 AC, 18k hp. AVG hit from this guy was 407, DPS (melee + DoT) around 150.

Take it down last night Solo as Shaman 75 with 850+ AA's 24k HP around 15k Mana + Tank Merc both buffed from Guild Hall.

I pulled the Ancient Megalodon, to the shore where you talk to Kimm McShannel with Malis, cast my mount to negate the spinning from Tugging Whirlpool and slowed the mob without any resist.

Doted the Megalodon with all i have in my ******* even with Curse of the Spirit from the Spear of fate, never went lower then 75% mana (i was cannibalizing from time to time).

Fight took approximatly 7-8 minutes no trouble at all.

Pretty sure you can solo it without any problem at 70, I should tried it soonner, well my bad.

Recap:

1- Tank Merc on passive, pull the Megalodon with malo line spell on the shore.
2- Tank merc on aggressive, cast your mount then slow the Megalodon and let your Pet chew on his tail.
3- Keep Merc HoT and Max DoT the Megalodon, heal Merc as needed.
4- Repeat Slow and DoT as needed.

Solo'd as a 71 Shaman
# Sep 12 2010 at 8:28 PM Rating: Decent
Molo'd this tonight on my 71 Shaman + my regular tank merc and the pet. I have about 250 AA's and 10.8k hp buffed. It took about 18 minutes.

I kept him slowed with Balance of Discord, kept Panther proc buffs up on the merc and my pet, and just healed it out. I had to use Staunch Recovery for a second bar of mana but only used about 50% of it, and I kept a Steadfast Servant up to keep my HP high. I basically just ate all of the AOE spin stuns. If you have some way to avoid them, that may make the fight considerably easier.

We didnt actually get the kill but one group of LVL 65s can do him...All lvls 65, Ranger 370plus aas, Bstlord 250 plus aas, Druid Unknown aas, Shammy 300 plus aas, and Tank merc, and Cleric merc apprentice T5 , We got the Shark to 10 percent with the cleric oom for half the fight. Watch for his wild rampage and he dispells discs after 2 tics at least he did my weaponshield... Good luck guys if we had a real cleric we would have def won...Also we called in the troops after and destroyed him...

Just did this with my 75 shaman, with tank mercenary, and 73 rogue, with healer mercenary. Took less than 10 Minutes, Merc ran out of mana about 5 minutes into it, and I had to take over healing, didn't matter, was a pushover, all it took was halycon to keep the tank up. Myself and the rogue are wearing nothing but what we bought in the bazaar.

I just did this with my 4 toons (77 war, 74 shaman, 74 druid and 73 cleric) fight lasted about 15 to 18 mins with the cleric having anything close to 25% mana. Shaman and druid were both near 50% mana at the time of death. All toons were in Elaborate Cultral armor, so no one was high end. Two keys that were talked about before: Get your butt on a mount and stay there (first time I have ever melee'd from a mount), and do take heal pots. We didn't need more then 3 pots, but they did come in handy at the right time.

Was summoned once, ran right up out of the water and then ran to the beach where the others sat on mounts. Malo once and all spells stuck after, slow was only resisted once. So, if you're over 70 one full group will do this fight with a good healer. The Spin/Stun he casts was constantly being cast, but only stunned you the first couple seconds of the spell.

Over all, I was amazed how easy it was for a "this mob would take an army to kill" mob to take down.

If it's safe to do so, and you're casting Puma/Jaguar/Cougar line, you add another proc by meleeing. Good way to get another 4-500 damage per tick, even with our melee being so weak. Like adding another dot, and one that's unresistable at that.

Just did this with my guy solo,...was gonna box my warr main, but figured I'd give it a go single for fun 1st.

Pulled with Malis rk2, fought up near quest NPC on land and used mount to negate Spinning from stun.
Didn't bother with Discord (Turgur's landed almost everytime after a single debuff), had spell Canni, Lassi rk2 and Halcyon rk2 for myself, other 5 slots were for DoTs. Used HoT pots & Arcstone BP as well when up.

All poison (Nectar, Blood etc) seemed to land ok, Big Bynn Disease landed everytime, some resists on TSS rk2 disease tho and gave up on magic line (Juju rk2 etc wayyy too many resists). Had Kera's pet up at start (no pet toys or armor tho),..and he bit the dust very early in, maybe 5mins.

Clarity pot dropped just before he died so I'm guessing bout 30mins total.

Just took him him out this morning with the following...
74 Bard, 80 War, 75 Cleric, 72 Shaman(me), 61 Mage, 48 Mage

This fight is difficult for anyone under 60. The 2 mage's wound up going down due to the AE that this mob casts. But their efforts were both appreciated.

Bring plenty of HoT potions, and use them. We came close to losing the War at one point, was down to 3% health, a miracle saved him with a combo of well timed heals.

The mount hint does indeed work, so use one here if possible. Also, get mob up on shore, mob has massive regen, mob has about 500k HP, blah, blah, blah.

Use pet hold unless you want your pet to immediately die, send in once MT has aggro. AE is like 2k each time so watch HP carefully if it even matters.

Fight took over 20 minutes, it was long and fun.

Here is the best set of Shaman (lvl 72) spell GEMS based on my experience...
Yoppa's Mending (optional in place of Yoppa's mending: Ghost of Renewal)
Malosinise (cast first) - recast as needed
Balance of Discord (cast second) - recast often
Talisman of the Panther (recast every minute)
Poison line DoTs and DDs to compliment the Malo above (2 or 3 here cast when you can)
Pained Memory (cast when available)
Your favorite remaining DoT here or another slow/debuff line

This is just my opinion, consider other spells based on size of group and makeup of player classes. Enjoy the battle!
Duo'd Ancient Megalodon
# Jan 15 2008 at 2:38 PM Rating: Decent
Duo'd this guy two nights ago. 76 Shaman (me) and a 76 paladin (my wife).

Two things:

1. Pull that fish on to the beach.
2. Then get on a MOUNT and stay there.

If you do that, you won't constantly spin around when the AE Tugging Whirlpool hits you.

Other than that, it takes about 20-30 minutes. We had plenty of healing potions which we drank fequently. My wife (the pally) healed herself when she could. My job was to HoT and direct heal and provide DoTs and nukes when I had time. I was dancing really hard to keep mana up but we managed.

It was an extremely fun fight!

This mob parsed to 500k HP, it took me 41 minutes to two box her with my 78SK (12500HP 3000AC, 63 Avoidance 28 Shielding, 280 AA) and 72 Shaman (No aa, 7500 mana pool).

The trick was just to keep Turgur's up, spam HoT every time it faded on both the SK and shaman, click canni IV every time it popped, and use insta click heal potions when needed on both toons. Also having the epic 2.0 on the SK helped a ton. My dps fell to about 200 due to the spin stun/being summoned, and both pets died.

Best Luck!

Duoable able mage / shaman.

Both Demi-plane geared with Spire servant pet focus. Let mage pet kill while concentrating on sustaining pet. Finished with over 50% mana left. fight lasted over 20 minutes.

agreed he's pretty easy now....trio'ed with 75 ranger (as tank 15K buffed) 75 shaman (HoT's and Dots) and 75cleric (spam CH between stuns)

Cleric finished with about 90% mana, shaman was out...but that was intensional.....never really got into trouble. I pulled him right up on shore where the spawn NPC is.

Do what you can to pull this guy on shore. He is tough fight in the water.
We had 75 Pally, 2 Clerics, Necro and Shaman. It was a fairly smooth fight. The AE is tough, spot healing casters is important and keeping Meg Slowed. Balance of Discord stuck everytime after Malis. We had trouble dropping him fast, because we couldnt get him on shore for long, he kept summoning the Tank into the water. We inflicted more DPS once we got him out of the water. For the most part it was an easy fight, though with 2 Clerics no one ever got in serious trouble. Poison Dots and Nukes hit regularly if Malis is casted on him. Didn't try Cold Based Spells, but I would assume those would hit also. Resisted my JuJu Spell so I stopped casting it on him.

Thanks to Wmofyv, Gomlor, Kathonson, Sheofyv - Bosiris 75 Shammy got his fight out of the way!

Our guild and friends dropped him tonite with 2 grps, mostly Arcstone geared or less. I pulled it to land but the stuns caused some aggro issues until interrupted healing power dropped a few people, then clerics and shaman had only one tank and a few casters to heal. It wasn't bad from there at all. The saving grace was patch healing the healers. All in all a fun fight, but next time we will sit casters and healers back a bit more and have patch healers ready to keep the casters up. Thanks to Whyah, Souledout, Endered, Leguas, and Viirus for the assistance. Grats to Kluirr on one step closer to 1.5 !

Killed this guy tonight with 75 Cleric, 75 Zerker (me, i tanked), 75 shammy, and a 75 wiz. took about 7 mins to beat him. Healers went low on mana since we didn't have alot of firepower but was an easy fight. hit me for a max of 1170 i believe. real pushover fish. have fun. he has a lot of hps also. 38k nuke took him down only 8%.

attempted to box this guy with 75 shaman 59 aa/ 75 sk 570 or so aa

dropped him to 75% before i had to bail.. needed more DPS and that Ae was killer... never died during attempt but shaman went oom so I had to feign and run.Guys no joke.

I think he was doing 700-800 average hit, 1100 or so tops... easily slowed with turgurs on first try...just the ae is a *****, will reattempt with 75 nec and 75 cleric probably

killed with SK n rog duo. yea, he is a puss. the stun n underwater fight was annoying tho.
SK was able to keep himself alive with his taps n that with the mob being unslowed. heal pots n sk epic click were enough to keep the rog alive from eating ramps n ae. sk didnt really get close to lom from life tapping so it wasnt too bad of a fight.

FD'rs rejoice...
# Nov 20 2006 at 2:11 PM Rating: Decent
I recently went after AM for my shammy 1.5... We had 3 groups and 3 shammy's all present and eager. We took him down 3 times fairly easily. I was also boxing my monk and found that, if I FD'd just before the AE stun, wait for the stun to go in affect, I could stand back up and continue fighting on unaffected by the stun. So, if you've got a good reliable timer, break it out and take advantage of the FD option. Btw, it doesn't seem to matter if your FD fails or succeeds, the stun won't affect you.

Good luck all future OnePointFivers....
Easy fight these days

I decided to finally get around to getting my 1.5 for my shammy. I went to kill this shark 3boxing fulling expecting to wipe, but wanted to see how far I could get and maybe come back later with friends. It took about 20 minutes, but I managed to down it just myself. My main is a 75 Ranger with 1200 AAs, 2box shammy is 74 with 650 AAs, and 3box is 73 Cleric with just under 300 AAs. All three characters are wearing almost entirely 1-groupable gear (mostly Qvic stuff), the ranger being at 14k hps buffed. All 3 of my characters were just about OOM when fight was through, but had I prepared a bit better and gotten some C and chanter haste the fight probably would have been a lot smoother.
