No issues with 75 SHD & 75 BRD. Shadow Knight took about 50k damage in around 3 minutes. Seemed to ramp up on harder hits about mid fight. Appropriate Shadow Knight abilities were used to survive. Might have been helpful to have an additional healer just in case. Falmont had about 330k HP. We split the DPS evently so that likely shortened the fight.
DoN progression era 70 sk main 216aa 70 bard box 70 cleric box
8 min fight, bard on rampage, cleric went oom and used staunch. Resisted almost everything. Used healing potions and chain lifetap, then used staunch and kept lifetapping. Bring a second healer and a melee dps. Would have been easy.
Was nice to have a fight in this quest. Murkglider was a bit tricky clearing, pulling, killing etc... everything else except Sir Elmonious Falmont was just running around or waiting.
Killed with 74 monk (Epic 1.0, 103/34 stick, 866AA & tank merc), 72 druid (574AA & cleric merc), 65 shadowknight (388AA & rogue merc) on single PC. SK had a Journeyman merc, others were Apprentice. Biggest problem was the mana drain.
First attempt: Cleric merc ran out of mana early, druid was low also... ran to zone with Elmonious around 40%
Second attempt: Set cleric merc on passive initially to control mana usage, tank merc went splat quickly. Had Succor memorised this time, evac!
Third attempt: Much the same as second attempt, trying to be conservative with healing mana led to tank merc dying. Evac!
Fourth attempt: Fully buffed up, summoned Steadfast Servant from monk's account, put on all buffs etc. Kept Druid out of range while cleric merc used all its mana within healing range. Shadowknight died from rampage and grabbing agro from HT (cast around 70%). Tank merc died around 40% as cleric merc was OOM and druid didn't get heal off fast enough. Hit Whirlwind on monk and suprisingly, monk tanked pretty well after that. Used Mend, healing potion, heals and Barkspur (big DS) from Druid... lasted till the end.
75 sk with j5 healer (gingerbread ) Moled this dude. I resisted i think all of the mana drains but my merc got hit a few times. This was the only moderately hard fight in the entire 1.5. Would have been alot easyer if i had 1 other dps with me. I recommend bringing a melee dps.
Sir Elmonious Falmont new spawn point is west of the first dragon pillar (square on the map) as you zone in from Sirens Grotto. Disregard the posts about him being "Northwest" he isn't even up there. Hope this helps.
Soloed for my SK as an 84 mage, resisted nearly every mana drain AE. Was very easy, finished with over half mana remaining. T1 HoT geared. Used 81 air pet for tank and J5 healer merc.
Not to be rude but when you use a mercenary that isn't soloing it. That's moloing it. Soloing it indicates that it is so trivial you don't need a mercenary.
Killed him with a 75 SK ~500 AA and 73 CLR with...52 AA. (Both Bazaar-equipped, have never done any raiding.) CLR had tank merc, SHD had rogue merc. The SK died once, but everyone else lived.
Because of his AE drain, we couldn't have gotten through this fight without Staunch Recovery.
That was exciting and fun, and now I can do my last turn-in :)
Well here is my story, 80 sk 20k+hps 3500ac. I go to kill this guy thinking he is a total wimp. I have Merc cleric with btw. I have all Disc and Vet awards to 9th. 3 mistakes i made, I didn't have HT up, didnt summon servant(couldve helped alittle) and mainly I under estimated him. I thought fight was going good cause got him to 75% quick with swarm, my pet. got him to 50% in decent time then the fight seemed to drag. I was oom merc was oom. This guy was very magic resistant very, proc taps regular taps were resisted 50% of the time which caused me alot of probs. anyway long story short, I died at 8%. all vets used. If i had servant up that wouldve made alittle difference, but if HT was up he wouldve died. So don't under estimate like i did and waste your time.
Also i forgot i took on couple adds also around 50% they we hitting for 150s at random, which didnt help, so pull him to safe spot.
BTw if u do die u can regroup and go back and re hail and try him again which was nice.
Next try I just called a friend Worlin 85 rogue, and this guy didn't stand a single chance was dead in under a min. i couldnt take aggro from rogue btw with hate taps. I didnt ask but he had to been putting out serious punishment.
Sir specs, doesnt hit much but when he does seemed to be 2400s<<<< very resistant. His aoes were resisted almost everytime with 460+ resists. Hope this helps.
Tried to duo this clr and sk ... sk went down first couple min... ended up soloing by myself just clr... oh my long fight and had to use all vet AAs... not recomend for weak at heart....
We killed him about an hour ago on Quellious with 17 people. Main tank (me) 75 SK, approx 2300 AC, 14k hps. Missed a lot more often than he hit, most hits were in the low to mid 1k-ish range. The entire fight took maybe 3 minutes. His stun seemed to land quite often, as did his AoE which had several of the healers out of mana or close by the last 15% or so. Gear level of the raid varied, a couple Time geared folks, mostly non-raiders though with DoDh and PoR-level gear, some GM armor, etc. Not an especially easy fight, but far from the intimidating battle his "on paper" numbers would indicate. Thanks to Silver Tears of Flame, my incredible guild, and good luck to all in the pursuit of this epic =)
Before TSS, at level 70, 13k hp 3200 ac , 2 sk's and a cleric killed him.
Higher ac makes many many mobs easier.

just because I keep helping folks with the fight, and don't see this posted.
Once you get him down past 60%-50%, his dps drops (not completely, just noticeably) as he tries to cast a lot more. But, around 20%, he will pick up again. Healers tend to get lax thinking they got it under control, then his dps picks up and they aren't expecting it.

Did this today with 29 EP geared folks.Could have done it with less easily. He has about 300k HP from parses according to our Warrior. No one died, mostly due to everyone resisted his AE's.Bard for teh win!Max hit on Defensive Warrior was around 1700.. btw.
Just did this guy last night and there are a couple pieces of info I wanted to add. First off I think SoE put this guy in WW to make people think ice spells won't work but according to the druids that came out they work quite well so don't limit your dps due to the scenery. Second thing is the guy respawns within 30 minute, the reason this was important is that there was a second SK ready for the fight and no one was really sure how long this guy was going to be out for but it was about a half hour from his death he was back up.
Did him tonight with 12 people, 1 warrior, 1 cleric, the rest was 2 boxed shamans, 2 monks, 2 sk's, boxed druid, and a necro. Pulled him to the entrance So we could corner him. Watch rampage, dont need the healers on ramp. Keep spot healers in each group to account for the AE. Good luck!
