Blackfall Borer  

This guy in mean. He attacked me as an add. I was tracking another named guy when I happened to see this ugly thing nearby. Wasn't on track at all. I stayed far from him and pulled the one I was tracking and ran back to my group. I turned and seen Blackfall Borer with him. Rather than having my entire group killed, I ran like hell along the edge of the zone dragging these guys behind me. I thought if I got far enough ahead I could gate. Wrong. He got close enough to hit me once and he took some damage from my DS. I ran, got summoned and chewed up. Avoid this guy. He hits very hard. Hit me 4 times for 800hp.

Ok, this guy killed my cleric a couple days ago, so I decided for some revenge.

Brought an 11.5khp time geared level 66 warrior and my level 69 cleric, and two boxed this guy. The weapons the warriro had were Edge of Eternity and Cudgel of Wrecking. I also had the 68 cleric pet in the fight.

47 minutes and an insane number of CHs later, Blackfall Borer was dead. His loot, NOT ONE SINGLE STINKING THING, not even a copper.

I used mighty strike disc as soon as the fight started, and he dropped during the third use of it.

So, he's killable, but very hard, and in my one try, dropped nothing. Also NO faction hits.

But I did avenge my death!

Almost forget, he resisted every spell and proc I tried, including time snap and Soul Leech, but anger three seemed to stick every time.

Could not snare (with procs), root (with cleric) nuke (cleric) or otherwise magically damage him.

Well...he's a mean bugger allright, and sent me to the zoneline more than once...but this post is not about IT but about what IT DROPS...which is the ore for the warrior epic....running from NC zoneline to POD with my mounted paly, I saw a small bag on the ground and picked it up and walah!....the ore....later same day....another bag....before ya all flame me for pickin it up....as soon as ya con it...ya get it....goes to yer inventory....so went back later with my warrior...lvl 60 and camped him at that same spot invised...and later found the ore for his epic quest..LOCATION is about pos 576, neg 812...hope it helps

Was FD in DS while I went away to eat. Came back and was dead, checked the logs and it was this guy. How the heck can a mob kill me while I am FD.

This mob spawned at loc neg 845 pos 1060 was up for 5 mins then despawned leaving behind Blackfall Ore a no drop item where it stood.

- Paladin AA horse is a bit faster than this, thank god...

- Doesn't see invis.

-Light blue con at lvl 70

- Hits for 900+ max, seemed to be 1 groupable mob.

Last night me and some guildies were out by this camp (of course I didnt know this was where this guy spawned) I was on my 65 druid. We all got tired and I camped here. This morning I log in and start messing around kiting a few mobs. After I got 3 mobs down and was medding for another this guy spawns (conned dark blue) aggros me from seemingly the equal of 200 or so yards (is immunne to changes in runspeed) runs up to me and smacks me in rapid succession for 296, 704, 582 and at that point I said to heck with this and exodus out with 47% hitpoints remaining. Definitely a baddy.

Just finished doing Girplan Spiritleech for my BL's epic when this mob jumped my cleric. Conned light blue so I figured it would be cake. However, it took like 25+ minutes to kill this thing with my beastlord and Mr. Thumpy the uber cleric floaty hammer beating on it. Dropped nothing, very disappointing. Max hit I saw was about 952, usually hit for about 200 - 500. It missed a whole lot, don't think my BL was hit with a full triple the entire fight. Found this thing (or it found us) just north of Girplan Spiritleech spawn point.

Oh yeah, also so resistant to magic, poison, disease, to the point where you could essentially call the mob immune to those.

killed this guy a couple of days ago...if your not geared for him dont even attempt...can quad in the 900s, has insane ammount of HP, took about 14 mins to down him with 2 druids me <pally> monk and war and bst, all in all wasnt too hard but was still a pain. conned LB to me at 68.

This is not true, to put it simply, and I am sure you have heard it before, a mob has to be damaged for it to summon, plane and simple. You might not have damaged the mob but someone did and you ended up on hate list but it was damaged

Twice well camping Ukun Slavehunter have I had this mob spawn on me. First time I was afk and died. Second time I I was there with a lvl 69 beastlord guildie (I was a 66 druid at the time) and I had a darkscourge rat dire charmed, it prob had 9 to 10k hp, had pet tank it and in the time I had to cast 3 cheals was only able to do 1% dmg to borer so figured he had way too many hitpoints, loaded succor, and got us out of there. If looking for him you might have a tracker hang out around the valley by Bloodfields.

lEVEL 50? He killed my level 65 Shaman in about 10 seconds.
