Ok, Ive camped this mob with my 67 druid multiple times and my experience has been kind of similar to all the posts. I will state though that 1 out of 10 to 15 drops is hardly rare, that falls into the category of uncommon. Kill a few epic mobs in which you have to kill 80 -150 mobs and still not get the drop you need. That is really rare. Rare would be prolly in the neighborhood of 50 -80. Might ask what this def is based upon.. Well is based upon my looking over many many sites and camping many many mobs for days and weeks on end. And the avg understanding. Not being mean just factual
heres my trick soon as u get up hill run atop the left wall on the way to ukun.... heh sit up there where u can see em, barely, then when ukun spanws run down there pull back up to hill, never get adds and turn around and fight him to where his back is towards the ramp up to bloodfields he will turn around and run that way along the wall so never get any adds... any mob u can do this too that u fight there... thats how i solo the ukun.... hope this helps some of you..
The aug is a really rare drop, i had to kill probly 12-15 nameds before i got the aug. I spent way more time campin this than the aug is worth but oh well.
Has about 11k Hit Points. Hit me for 162 max with a 490 spell. With 9.3k Hps, he took me down to 63% before he ran at 18% like previous posts. He does hit a little harder and faster than Gutfeaster if you have camped him before. There are no roamers around that you need to worry about.
If you can stun, all you have to do is pull it a reasonable distance from it's spawn point. When it gets to ~20%, stun it and wack away. Get it down to 12-15% before stun wears off and it won't run so fast. If it does run up the ramp, good luck. You will die. Unless you are a cleric or Paladin in which case you can chase it up there (it should only have a couple % left by the time it reaches the top) and when you kill it, Pop DA, loot the corpse and run. Paladins get on your horse, clerics... well. *shrug* If it runs up there, just kill it and come back with some folks to clear the area so you can loot it.
So far my luck has been PH, Named, PH, PH, PH, PH, PH, PH, PH....
Blackfall Borer roamed up to me at this point and and started wacking me for 900+ so I sucked up the lost time and left.
67 Enchanter here. My pet was able to solo it with a little help. I just buffed pet and kept casting uproar during the fight. At 20%, I blasted and my blast took it down to about 3%.
I found target at location given - base of stairs by all the kyvs. (way south of bloodfields entrance.) There are more kyvs upstairs than meets the eye. If fight goes bad, don't even dream of escaping Eastward. Just kiss your *** goodbye.
What the ****! 4 named spawns tonight (no vacinity has nothing to do with it) and 4 pairs of those **** shoulders! No idea how many ph's I've smacked, but its been about 4 hours.
Repop time, 20min. Named is immune to runspeed changes. Oh, stingy too :O
I camped this mob over a weekend. Saturday I stood on its spot and killed 8 phs in a row and gave up to XP. On Sunday I took over from a player who waited on the wall for the mob to pop as he claimed that the name would not spawn it you were too close. Sure enough this seemed to be true as the name never popped when I was close to it. I killed it 34 times in a row with the named spawning 11 times and 23 ph's. Every named dropped the shoulder item - no aug.
Its true if your distance to the spawn is closer then 50, then yes the named won't spawn. Now I've been playing since Beta and I've figured out exactly how spawning named works. But if your exactly between 50 and 65 it'll have a triple chance of spawning the named. If your between 65 -250 you get a normal chance.
But what people always forget to figure in is food. If your drinking something with stats, adjust your range to between 75 - 145 for max spawn chance. If your drinking and eating something with stats then 115 - 125. If your only eating something, log for 3 hours, advance 3 spaces and come back.
If in doubt use this formula to find the range.
X = Level of your char N = (Sum of the Levels of your Alts) - (Your Age) OO = How much copper you have on your char presenting. B = The speed of Light.
(X * 3) + 1337 - [N + OO / (B * 56)]
This method also works for spawning the AC, winning on scratch-off lottery tickets. and finding the Lochness Monster
Grabbed a few invis potions from Knowledge and headed over to the base of the Rampart (The previous posters are correct. This is his only spawn point, doesn't roam, PH/Named were always light blues or greens, SOuth of Bloodfields entrance).
Battle cleric I am, I went to one of the Valley walls (east or west from his spawn point. I picked the East wall, pulled him with Mark of the Righteous (never resisted it), and proceeded to smack his **** with my Hammer repeatedly. Fast hitter, but nothing over 110 or so. Plus, stuns almost always landed and Hammer pet had a good jolly time wacking him, too. He ran at under 20%, simply chain stun and nuke him into the ground. Since he dropped the augment, my goal, my first time killing him, can't give much info on drop rate.
I never tried rooting him (Preferred to just nuke his *** through while hammer pet womped him). Not-so-good spawn rate, I killed about 4 or 5 placeholders before he showed up. The area around him is clear of spawns if you pull to walls, and when he starts running, he will path form the East wall to the west wall, then up through the Kyvs...gives you about 10-15 seconds of Safety-Time to kill before ya get yourself trained.
Don't have exact loc, but he spawns at bottom of the stairs of the rampart (the one with kyvs on it) south of Bloodfields ent. His PH does not roam. This guy summons, but can easily be pulled away from harm's way ;) He is also stunnable.
This named also drops a Type 7 augmentation, approximate name "Eye of the Dragon," lore, no-drop, +5 all saves. Believe it fits in most, if not all, slots.
This mob can be snared, at least by a level 65. He has the usual Chaos Claws proc, which can be removed by either Counteract Poison or Pure Blood spells.
Actually it's not a type 7 aug. See for yourself :-)

I was goin to Bloodfields with my dr00d when I saw him on track. I figured he might be a roamer like some of the other names. Instead i found him south of the Kyv Headhunter spawn, at the base of the stairs leading up onto the watch tower. I cant be ceartin if he randomly spawns places or this is where he spawns. Just thought id post where i found him. Also dropped a no drop item, Perfect Marked Ukun Skin, magic but not lore. Dropped the shoulders listed with him.
