Encountered this mother of everything evil last night. It went like this. After everyone in a raid on Garudon got bored with the Dragon Boneshards not dropping. We opted to go check out the new named mob that was popping up on track. Raid roughly consists of - 66 Cler, 55 Cler, 65 Rng and 60 Rng, 64 War(me), 64 Sha, 60 Ench, 59 Bard and Three 55 - 59 Sks.

We work in the direction of the mob then 65 Ranger, 66 Cleric and myself - scout ahead. Ranger finds it - dies instantly. Dot lands on Cleric and me and *NOT* on rest of raid camped at the top of the Theatre just before the plank leading down to the building Trooper Maruk spawns in. Cleric and I lose IVU on the DOT and get ATK by the wandering MOB, LoL. Rest of group jumps off the plank, down the alley east to the fourway, then left halfway down the street to out front of a doorway - just east of the building Trooper M spawns in. Here they find me - actually my corpse by this time - and the cleric fighting desperately to stay alive having rooted the add. Group clears add and cleric fends off the dot.

Fortunatey Drek was only aggro by the ranger. Ranger and I get rez. We med and buff. We clear the Grandmaster to the right of the stairs. We kill a hand to the left of the stairs. We park in the SE corner of this room and med to full. From here, you can see there's a hand at the end of a hallway going north. There is a room to the left off this hall, half way down, with a hand and a Decaying Lord Galuk Drek both partially visible. My guess is this room is where he spawns.

Once we reach FM we pull and dot lands, shaman reports landing a partially resisted slow. I engage to attain aggro. I get quad hit for 1287,866, 866, 1386 - cleric begins CH - before CH lands Dot and another round of mob hits have taken me out. Group wipes. A particularly resourceful Shaman actually manages to get all the way to the zone in before dying. Drek is now parked in the safe part of the entrance to Veksar - numerous hunters in the zone die.

For the next 2 hours we fight impatient people who run into zone, repeatedly setting off the DOT bomb and dying, while our cleric is trying to DA lure Drek away from zone in. Finally after numerous deaths and much cursing and swearing, no fun whatsoever and very little respect for Sony, Drek is lured back into the tight dead end alley alongside the first undead building with the plank from the goblin area leading up to it - resourceful cleric got him all the way to the back before she died. A Gather Shadow Nec was able to get to the alley no problem, although *not* invis to Drek, his aggro range did not prevent Nec from standard "/corpse" summoning clerics body. Rezes were had by all, apologies were made to the peeps at the zone in who got caught in the wipe.

Points of note:

- 10 Casts of Counteract Disease did not cure the DoT.
- DoT is *NOT* Zone Wide, however does have a hugeantic, ginormic horizontal AoE.
- DoT has smaller Vertical AoE since group at the top of Theatre was not hit on initial encounter by Ranger.
- Drek was a minimum level of 67 as he was Red to a me at 64.
- Once isolated from peeps, his aggro range seems to actully be rather small
- This is a Capital Raid mob and has no place in Veksar.

took him down tonight easy as pie. i believe that the casters in the raid said 12 disease cures removed the dot

His AE reaches pretty much zone wide.

Was duoing my cleric+paladin, running back and forth between the Champion and Duke rooms, when Darkened Decay went off... Couldn't figure out why the paladin's total HP dropped by 1500.
Then I saw the stats.

So while spamming HoT and the occasional Supernal Light, I alt-tabbed and got the info on the effect.
Dang.

Ended up living.
Came back a few hours later, after lunch and errands.
Someone else was trying him... and again the effect hit us.
They wiped; I helped them CR some (ended up dying to him too)
They'd found him in the golem room with the fountain, right near the shop.

He corpse-camps, sees invis and invis to undead, and really, as mentioned above, does not belong where he is.
Make him a triggered spawn, or at least be non-KOS til aggro'ed... Nearly dying four times to that AE is just entirely insane.

Was surprised by this guy when I dropped down from Shops area to HIghBorn courtyard area. Someone must have trained him to that area. He doesnt wander back to spawn spot. I had to use cleric to divine aura and run him back to the back of the zone to keep him out of the way.

I've seen him around before OoW the Nobleman guy is fairly new since OoW.

Zoned in with my shaman to find this guy standing there to kill him before i could get my necro in. SOE really needs to get this mob OUT of Veksar he has NO place here. My 2 pp

This guy was sitting at the zone in on Xev when I zoned in as well (9/21/04). He killed me before I finished zoning...meleed for around 1800 a hit...bleh!

Ok, I have been bound in Veksar for ages. I have a nice safe spot near the fence that goes to the golems, behind the chef/kylong crusader area.

Was leading a few people from guild to xp in veksar. My Druid and Necro both gate there (I 2 box), and friends head there as well. As soon as I land BAM nasty AE DoT lands on my Necro, but the Druid is fine. Tried RGC and nothing, had to actually port out with the fear that if I didn't I would be in a death cycle dying there forever. Rebound and found out a friend also died but at the entrance. Ok this mob has MASSIVE MASSIVE AE (must be zone-wide?). Because I zoned from LoIO and still got hit.

Am not very happy about my favorite zone in the game having this happen to it. I am a casual player and am not on that long, this has put a SERIOUS crimp in the zones I play in.

Ok so went back today and beat his **** down.

Took a 66 druid, 65 cleric, 65 pally 9khp, and a boxed 66 shaman

Killed him pretty easy with hand add - he was actually in the building on the right where there is a hand on one side of the stairs and a ph / named on other side. He was in and left of hand in a room with a hand.

Pulled him out smacked him down and got.....

First time I've EVER seen this guy, looks just like a highborn, didn't even notice him till he started nuking me. Was right in the hallway with wandering Initiate/Grandmaster. Has a nasty AE that lasts 10 minutes (poison base, killed all of us eventually... just click the link under effects used... talk about absurd), hit for 1.8k, summons (of course), and has a nice variety of other spells he likes to cast. Oh yeah... and unlike all the other Veksar mobs... his aggro range is HUGE. In my experience, if you can see him, you're already dead =\ . Never did defeat him, our group was composed of:

66 Necro
65 Necro
65 Ench
66 Cler

Used charmed Grandmaster, undead slow (partial take), lots of dots, lifetaps, mana taps, etc. Got him to 55% before wipe. Was definitely not expecting such a disasterous fight out of a Veksar mob other than Garudon... Remains of Sythrax is nothing compared to this guy. Good luck to whoever tries to take this one down... you've got your work cut out for you.

This is what happened when my guild choosed to get some exp in Veksar yesterday night...

2 guildmates (lvl 50) zone in, start running up the fallen pillar out of the water and die. They say in /gu that there was a 1800 hitter at zone in. Agro range was decently large too.

Myself being a 2boxer took me longer to drive both chars at the zone line, so I go in with my 65 cleric and see an even con mob camping the zone line, Decaying Lord Galuk Drek. I didn't move a step and it didn't agro, cool I thought... sees invis and Itu btw.

Some other player zones in, runs up and die, mob casts an AE (listed above)... sigh, I zone out and spam my self with cure disease to cure the dot.

In the end at least 6 or 7 people die at zone in, we all petiton, a guide shows up, meanwhile I was able to drag and rez a couple bodies, but suddenly mob camps zone line again.

The guide excalates the issue to a GM, while trying to lure the mob far from zone in, the guide dies and loses a level (from 56 to 55) :)

Mob is far from zone in, so I go back in, send a tell to all the corpses asking if they want to wait for a GM rez (assuming they'll do it) or get my 96% one, all players accept my rez, so I drag them at the top of the pillar and start rezing them. Mob was nowhere near the stairs at the point.

After almost all of them are done with looting corpses, I read the emote of the mob killing again, the guide sends me a tell saying that he/she is trying to lure mob away from zone in, but that he may come back (!!). So I drag the 2 remaining corpses on the zone line and rez them there. Guess what? Mob comes back and a couple players died again.

Since I dragged my guildies and rezed them, I told them to move somewhere else, then after 1 minute I gate away.

I got a reply to my petition, GM says he moved the mob to the "proper" location (which imo is in another zone, /sarcasm off).

A player sends me a tell asking if I was still there and in the same moment another one tells me that mob went back to zone in.

First player says that a GM talked to him and that he will not get a GM rez as the mob was trained to the zone and it was HIS BAD LUCK to run into him.

Now I ask you.... what business has a mob like that in Veksar? If it's there for a purpose, shouldn't it be in the far end of the zone and a triggered spawn or at least permarooted?
Why a 50-60 exp zone has such a beast inside with a large agro range and a spawn point damn close to zone in? (I assume it is, since GM "moved" to "proper" location and 1 minute later it was back there again).

Why do I have to waste 1 and a half hour of my already short playing time to deal with such stupid issues? I can understand that a bugged mob placement happens every now and then, but this was totally and utterly stupid and the GM reply followed by the coming back to zone in of the mob was funny... in a way.

Hope they do something about this issue.

He roams on top of the roamer that is outside the monk room the hallway between buildings there.

Casted a snare poison based dot on me that took group cure 3 and 5 casts of pure blood to remove.

He's new as of the Omens release.
