Onyx RingI've never seen any use for the sword and the shield an evil eye's pet drops. They are enchanters and summon what appears to be the same sort of animation that a PC enchanter summons. Only the floating sword and shield don't disappear when the pet dies. Maybe they SHOULD disappear. Both items are sorry loot.
I've seen one speculation that the animated sword and the animated shield are for an as-yet-undiscovered quest. Or an as-yet-unimplemented quest. They would make nifty components for researching a high-level enchanter animation spell.

I guess the "animated" in the loot is what you need to make the hovering weapons pet.

Actually, an NPCs pet doesnt die when you kill the master like PCs, so if someone killed EE an left the pet, there would be a lone pet :) so never say never my friend.

it is a PET, duh, pets dont leave their masters side (at least the npc pets)!!!

you have obviously never seen Findlegrob's pet in Lake Rathe. Every 5 minutes his pet takes off and books to the zone line, running along the mountain wall. Why he does this I have no idea, but while in the Lake hunting giant skellies I kept noticing him run by. Finally I just moved to the corner and camped him. At lvl 25 the xp was good, it took 2 expulses to kill him and it was a very regular spawn. I believe the term is "being handed to you on a platter". :) Got lvl 26 in just under an hour.
However, I digress. You should make sure you know what you are talking about before knocking someone else's comment. It's a common dumbass mistake.

im in east karanes and never seen these but scince im a mage and they are summoned i could really do some dmg to them , but i cant take out a evil eye so i wanted to knoe if these things travel with the evil eyes or are jsut walking around by themselves

they are pets..., does your pet walk around by itself? think about it.

let me correct myself. pets rarely wander. but thats only when their masters have been killed.
