We had a Pally tank with 1825 AC, 9640 HP and he got hit for a max of 1860. He was able to be partially slowed. Doesn't have any pets. We harmonied the 2 mobs on the side of him and pulled to the corner near zone in.

Does NOT drop resonating earring, killed him 30 or so times now, just the range/ring.
Odd thing about your comment is the tank in my group tonight (and guildmate) did get that earing from the dog. Dont know, maybe you are unlucky. /shrug
