I was in natimbi today looking for mite pieces to help a guildy MQ the strand of pearls. I did just install OoW mabey some quest in there but the drop was stonmite antenna magic item lore no drop.
Any ideas what this is for?

Found one tonight too - guess it must have come with yesterdays patch - oh well i will hang on to it for a while
Pretty common, have had about a dozen drop in a couple of hours. since they are lore, had to let them rot.
Dropped Raw Pale Nihilite
Engulfing roots will hold these for almost a minute and they resist only about 10 percent of the time. Approx 6000 hit points.
this is an animal type. got panic animal to land on it a couple times, as a lvl 54 ranger... but both times the spell wore off after only a few seconds. i got hit with the acid, and tried cure disease several times, but it didn't take it away. this dot lasts forever or soemthing, i'm still waiting for it to go.
It says the acid is a poison, not a disease.

I tried cure poison a couple of times as well as disease and no luck. Maybe it takes more than 3 times.
Almost impossible to solo without snare, at least for a shaman. Root keeps breaking after 2 seconds.

Watch out, these buggers aggro like mad. Problem is they can be hard to see =P... they account for most of my deaths soloing lol

These have a dot, stonemite acid, which doesn't do much damage, 12 per tick I think, but lasts for a long time giving it nuisance value for non healer soloers.
Disease based, has the hand icon, and landed on me twice with 147 DR.

Belive the DoT has like 100 disease counters. So takes like 100 casts of cure disease on my sk, not worth the time so I just let it run its course. But blood of nadox/pure blood should take like 10+ casts I think. Believe I've had it cured, but coulda been dilusional from campin necklaces for so long.

good catch also cast over 100 cure disease 20 abolish poison and even 20 remove lesser curse to no avail-----read post and one cancel magic worked fine

Got the dot, tried pureblood a bunch of times with no effect. Tried annul magic, worked the first time. Not a lot of help I know.

Annul Magic worked for me on the 3rd try, first try took away a buff and my KEI, both above the DoT. Second cast took away Blessing of Faith and Virtue, and Virtue was BELOW the DoT in my buff window. So ... be careful. Third Annul Magic wiped the DoT away when it was the only thing in my buff window. Would rather have kept the DoT.

It does have the hand icon, but I'm not 100% sure it is diseased based. The description of the spell effect says the Resist is Poison; however, repeated casting of Blood of Nadox did not cure this.

So I arrive in new zone (lvl 58 drOOd), and see this slug scowling at me.. so figure what the heck.. I found out that it is highly resist to root, snare landed after 2nd time, and proceded to kite it around by the wayfarer camp until it died (no loot). But I now see why there are so many corpses at the wayfarer zone in :-)
There is a quest given out by a npc at the tents regarding these critters. You collect INTACT legs, meat, shell, and eye and you get a "nice string of pearls" as he put it..i wouldnt know yet because i had all 3 pieces except eye in 5 min and took a whole day to get what i thought was an eye...waws just a "stonemite eye" i handed the 4 in and he ate it all...i got the "Intact sontemite eye" on ym next kill lol so waiting on meat now for the final hand-in. I'll let ya know

These things are close to the ground, almost flat, hard to see, and fast. The perfect design for sneaky adds. You never see them till they are munching you.

These things are really nasty. Was fishing and the guy beside me got attacked. Probably the only reason i lived was that i had the time to put awat my fishing pole. I grabbed one and someone else grabbed the other. When mine was dead my health bar showed 0%. Sitting there wondering why "loading . . please wait" hadn't popped up. I had 25 hp left. Healed myself and the other guy was asking for help. Took the second one down.
