The camp is the SE corner of WK is quite profitable. As a lvl 16 Nec you can generaly pull only 2 at a time. Taking two is definately a challenge, but it can be done with a bit of finesse, this makes the EK spot a really good solo spot for a 16th Necro, since you will stock up on bones, zombie skins, raw hide armour, research words and bronze weapons.
I'm a level 8 barbarian warrior and i was the leader of a full group of pc. We were at the ruins in the East Commonlands and 3 ghouls spawned. We got raided and lost one person before a kind bard with a magic weapon saved our butts. These things are mean.
I have a 18th warrior lvling at oasis and when I bump into these critters they mostly still con blue to me and give good exp considering how quickly they get a whippin=)
Selo's will not unroot you. Not even with the drum. I have died many time experimenting with and without instrument, and spent more time getting my corpse.
Yes, ghouls have the exact same 3D model as goblins, and they have the same animations, too. They flail their arms around as their attacking animation, just like gobs, and they die the same way.
two things to day here , 1. i thik ghouls should be indiff or somting like that cause they should like them like a lost dog 2.is it just me or do these things look like runnyeye goblins?
Only the Ghouls inside Neriak-3rd Gate con Warmly! Every other Ghoul is KoS, so be careful. Yes, these things get pretty nasty when it comes down to damage. First of all, you can't hit them without a Magical weapon! Second, they cast a spell which makes you not able to move. If you have the spell Ward Undead or any of spell in that line of DD to undead, use it. Also, these things give AWESOME exp around Level 15. My Level 15 Warrior killed a yellow Ghoul and got almost a half a bar of exp!
the ghouls are Place Holder (PH´s) for the Sand giants in oasis of marr they con green but still give me a bit of exp at lvl 22, and yes the do kill you´r sow wich realy realy does suck
As far as using Selo's Accelerando to unroot party members, I have been rooted before in Unrest, but the song did not unroot me. You may have to use the drum, too. Or maybe the idea is bogus.
Play lute or mandolin as you Lull (lament) each one. Lull quickly and you should be able to get 2 or 3 of them at once if they're standing close together.
You should still have accelerando going at this point (but if not, no biggie.) Bellow the one that you want (take the one with a weapon first) and run away. Re-cast accelerando kite it until it hugs the ground. It'll never get in range to root you if you're lucky. Also, if you get more than one in your bellow pull, use accelerando until you zone. RUN AWAY (unless you're 19th or higher.) If you ever have to melee them, use lullaby to pacify the one you're not attacking and warsong to whupp the yuckiness out of the one you ARE.

The wandering Ghouls in the Lodge of the Dead, and the 3 (4 maybe?) stationary Ghouls in the entryway to the Lodge are in fact different from all other Ghouls in Norrath. Recently, a group of about 40 Players, level 40 to 50 raided Neriak on E'ci, our ultimate goal was to reach the Lodge and assault the guildmasters. We made it to the Lodge, and got routed, as some anxious players charged into the lodge and trained the whole guild out, slaying about 15 people, ending the raid prematurely.
These particular Ghouls were slain right before the end of the raid, and I noticed that they do in fact carry a faction all on their own

So... unlike any other Ghoul, they have a special faction, which I assume is put in place to keep out anyone but a Dark Elf.
