This post applies only to tose <a ghoul> found in Befallen.

For an idea of their HPs, I randomly killed 10 of these from all over the zone. One on one, strictly melee damage, went as follows:

1 - 382
2 - 412
3 - 458
4 - 413
5 - 459
6 - 428
7 - 434
8 - 470
9 - 387
10 - 423

So they have on average 425 HPs, give or take depending upon level & possibly buffs from surrounding necromancers.

For Rogues, the ghouls in Unrest occasionally drop Grave Mold (for making poison).

i was hunting the ac in sro and i used sence the dead and i saw a ghoal named "Ghoal of Takish-Hiz". Who is this and what lvl is he? He dropped the bronze ******* sword and spiritual anchor (a no drop item).

He is a *possible* PH for the Ancient Cyclops, we spawned him by killing that ghoul a few times.

In W. Karana there is a skeleton camp. Among the skellies you will see 2-4 "Ghoul Yeomen". They /con higher than the plainold ones, and seem to have a slightly wider frenzy radius.
If you wipe out the camp and wait around for the respawn you see others. Ghoul caster of some kind, with more than just root.

Be a good place for a small (3-4) person group.

warning the guards will assist them if you let them run.... root them or snare. they are outside shadowknight/necro trainer hall and there are 3 or 4 of them. luck in the trenches)

Im a lvl 14 warrior twinked to last to the mid 20's. I was in unrest fighting death beatles and decided to try and fight a ghoul, I found a ghoul attacked it and it said it was invunerable, but the thing is i was hitting it with a shaded blade and now every ghoul I've foughten is invunerable. Why?

You must have a weapon that says "MAGIC ITEM" in its properties in order to hit ghouls. A shaded blade is not a magic item. It is only a lore item.

A shaded blade isn't a magic item... A ghoul requires a magic weapon to actually hit him.

Those two Ghouls outside the Neriak Necro/Shadowknight guild were more than happy to let me know I wasn't wanted and should move along... by slapping my Gnomish butt around.

Ouch!

Luckily, a friend came online and pulled my corpse to the zone edge. Give these guys a wide berth and get your Necro spells from the FP underground.

My druid met a ghoul at the undead ruins in WC, it coned red at lvl 13, for me and my lvl 14 druid friend, we had a lvl 10 Paladin guildbrother with us.
Initally i was against trying to engage it, but after being SoWed, and close to the WC zone, was coinvinced to try it.
After harmonizing its skeleton friends, we pulled it with snare, and the paladin engaged it directly with his magic weapon.
Both druids DD it with Ignite, and Lightning, and it dropped surprisingly fast. All in all some nice and easy xp.

Yeah im a lvl 12 magician and i was in northern ro last night. So I conned one and it conned yellow to me so i casted cancel magic so it couldn't root me. Then i casted Rain of Blades and that spell alone does 26 damage per wave and it does 3 waves you add the math. Then Column of Fire and my pet did the rest. That was som great exp.

This place is perfect for paladin's and their ghoulbanes! Along with some clerics, their healing powers and their massive undead directdamage spells...GHOULBANE!!!!

Had a group of five before, 4 pallys with ghoulbane!, and one cleric with all the undead directdamage and healing you could ever ask.
Even us pallys can heal when a group member is getting low on health and cast ward undead (which is funny with the proc of the weapon, because the targeted undead can't decide who to hit, its fun watching the ghoul or any undead do the macarena :P ) (the ghoul is the best, lol)

We were clearing everything out, procing like mad men, 132, 138, 134, 132, and so on. We took out Torklar Battlemaster(the undercon) in a jiffy, and ohhhh did he feel the pain.

So a happy message to all those pallys try to get a ghoulbane, it is much fun with other pallys who have them.

(Bad news= i've heard that the quest to get the ghoulbane is broken, but is still easily achievable at places such as the tunnel in east commons outside freeport, the weap goes no more than 500pp so don't pay more than that, got mine for 331pp. The weap is also dropped by some Froglok king or something, which i think is the only way to get the ghoulbane besides buying it for now, until they fix the broken quest.

In unrest, i believe on the third floor there is a single ghoul that cons red, this was when i was lvl 22. I think it is similar to the goblin that cons red in butcherblock mtns. So like all the player guides and your friends tell you, CON EVERYTHING!! You can never be to careful. (i'm not talking about crazed or carrions ghouls, just plain o' ghouls that con RED!)

At level 7 my friend told me to attack a ghoul it was red, but I had really nice stuff for my level because a nice guy gave me some plat. So...with my centi short sword I started to attack the ghoul and realize I was going to lose I tryed to run. I got about 10 feet and then I got ghoul-rooted he started hitting me in the 20's and 30's I had some hp buffs and 2 45hp rings so im doing ok only lost one bubble, but then his 2 friends come and kill me in a matter of seconds.

I took one of these easy at 11 (grouped) took a 3 minute battle I only lost 1 bub of health (weak group though) i was being healed by about 3 people and had some major buffs on (high level cleric) so it was easy with the occasional 30dmg nuke
