Seemed to spawn as often as its placeholder. Didn't resist much of anything, even less than regular chests. Easy solo for 67 necro with 4k hp buffed. Got 2 shoulders and 1 tunic, both rotted.

In about 5 hours last night we spawned this mob 3 times and it dropped the leather chest piece twice and the shoulders once.
First time we took it down with a 61 BST, 63 Cleric, and 57 Necro, which was fairly challenging. Later a 61 necro and 59 Bard joined us and the room became a cakewalk.
In any case, it spawns commonly and the BP doesn't seem that uncommon.

Our guild has done this several times...It was easy clearing out the room with a 60 warrior, 59 cleric, 55 wizzy, and 59 necro. As the cleric, I just started CH on the warrior at 70% and continued to do this throughout the fight. The warrior had about 6300 HP at the time. With wizzy and necro nuking and the necro pet...I had plenty of mana left over doing CH at 70%. I've also killed this with a 65 mage and 65 necro and just CH'd the pets as needed and that worked too. Needless to say, the warrior and I are enjoying the pauldrons, the BL chest piece is the rare drop and after killing this chest at least 20 times; we have yet to see it.
Our guild comes in here and get this guy pretty regularaly on the way in to tougher stuff. A 65 pet class could almost solo him, if they could clean out the surrounding mobs first. He has hit as hard as 500 I think, and as was stated, he does infact mitigate slow. So for the clerics out there, just spam heal. It's likely your tank will be in danger of going down if you try to CH. As a mob tho, the non-named stuff further in is almost tougher, other then the probs with slow. All in all, this is a good farm mob for the up-and-coming guild., seeing as both drops are pretty nice.

Partially mitigates slow and summons, his PH is the false chest in the middle of the first room can be single pulled to the open corner. He was lvl 57 when I fought him.

This guy supposed to spawn in room with 4 chests and bob the painter, anyone know the exact spawn time?
I know its at least over 30 min, but I didnt stick around any longer to find out

Chest or PH spawns every 30 mins. However the PoM version with Bob the Painter will not have this chest spawn. You need PoM version 2 for this one.

Killed this guy last night and got the Pauldrons off of him. I didn't get the loc that he spawned at, but it was in the first big room inside the castle. It was the first place (other than yard trash) our group saw anything but the halflings. First time we came to room there was a normal, false, chest in his spawn spot, but he was up the second time around.
Guy hit pretty hard, bout 500 a hit and doubled for about a K, but we took him down and I'm not the best equiped warrior in the game. Had a 64 Necro, 57 Chanter, 56 Warrior, 56 Shaman, 55 Beastlord, and cleric was only 48. Had to CH me like 6 times, but she never got agro.

Dropped a nice DRU/MNK/BST tunic for us as well as the Grand Pauldron of Study. The tunic was not QUITE an upgrade for the elysian tunic found in UP, but a MNK would probably like it quite a bit.
I'll ask my friend to post stats. He looted with an alt, as we had none of the required classes with us.
