I was wandering the zone looking for wolves for a Cleric of Mischief quest, and I finally found them. . .surrounding Gourdhead.
They were all barking at him, but not attacking. I killed them (each ignored me till I hit), along with a smattering of diseased rats and halfling skeletons. Looting the corpses, I counted 33 wolves.
Ended up with 6 black wolf skins, 20 regular skins (ruined/low q/med q), and enough wolf meat to make 30 filleted wolf meals. The cleric suddenly went from "Hello, young human! Could you help me?" to "I will do nothing to help you!", right after I gave him the items (which he kept).
BTW, later I saw 5 more wolves around him. I'm guessing they aggro on him when they wander close enough, but they can't target him to attack.

Old Gourdhead was having an love trystes with Shakey Scarecrow in Rivervale... when the druids found out their dark secret they banished Gourdhead to stand eternally watching over the thicket.
Nah, he's just there for decoration, he happens to be a mob so that you'll see his cutesy name, but he's not for any quests and you cannot kill him.

he just poped.. dunno what hes for but i tried AEing and AE wont hit him =/
Found this fellow at em ruins. Killed all rats and skellys around, but he untargettable. Can hand in items for him. Quest, BY ANY CHANCE?? =P
dunno i was in MT yesterday and i could target him but i couldnt attack him btw i was only able to target him at night
