This mob does infact drop Igneous Rock of Doomfire, for the Rogue 1.5

We cleared out the area on 05/09/06 trying to get the rock from the Magus mobs, and decided to try these even though it wasn't listed. Got down to three mobs left and it dropped :)

Max hit 188 on a tank with 2315ac.

Resisted magic debuffs, did not resist magic nuke often (once or twice out of a ton of mobs).

Doesn't run.
So where do they pop?

A group of four went in Solc last night just to have a look around. Killed stuff on the Kobold side. Question is, where are the Giants located and is it easier to get to them from the Goblin side or the Kobold side?

Definitely easier from the goblin side. Head in and veer right into the the first Goblin room, then through the penduluum room (watch out for the lava beetles in the lava below as they will add if you fight in the middle of the room), then north into the small goblin complex. Continue north to re-emerge into a cavern area, then head west up the hill. At this point you should see the giants - you can either head west, or follow the lava round east and then south. (This ultimately leads to the Fireback Queen).

One thing if you do head south, some of your fighting will be in/close to lava so levitate your group so the are not pushed/summoned into it.

Ok... we were just minding our own business killing Tybog Adalmond every time his fuzzy butt popped up and suddenly *POOF* these guys popped up out of no where and wiped us out. We had been there for hours and these came completely out of the blue.

Anyone know what triggers these or why?
