Kind of irrelevant, and I doubt I'm the first, but I managed to solo (no merc) the Council and Avatar tonight. 91 Ranger, 2750 AAs. HoT T3/T4 group geared.
Kiting the entire council was an interesting challenge. I started with picking off one at a time with Blusterbolt to drop them from the hate list until I was dealing with only 4 members. Headshot had to land twice to kill each councilman. I got lucky the first few times they ported me, in that they didn't run back over top of the remaining 8 members. Once the first four were down, I pulled the remaining 8, kept kiting and headshotting. The port helped more often than it hurt, gave me a few seconds to heal myself.
Avatar was down in 4 to 6 seconds. Focused Tempest of Arrows landed at least 2 headshots, and with Bow of the Destroyer and his melee range, I had popped him with a couple more quite quickly. Coirnav, you're next!

Killed with a 95 Pally and a 91 Mage, Both J5 mercs First round died cuase of not enough heals, so i brought my mage. Got it the second round, Mage died early when they ported my Pally around.
The 12 council men hit for 500-2000 and alot, I'd say average 750. They all spawn far west on the map, need to kill all of the Councilmen to spawn the avatar.
The Rathe is a council of twelve beings that rule over the Plane of Earth. Each member of the Council maintains an identical presence of grass-green hair and earthen skin with veins of gold and turquoise. The Council is an extension of the plane itself. Thus, if one member is cut down another will shortly rise to take its place. The Council of Earth is the only power of the Planes of Order to have looked down upon the material realm with interest, but remain truly neutral in their dealings with the lesser pantheon.
Oh yeah.. and let's not forget about keeping 6 raid encounters mezed while TMing 6 more of them....AoE is friggin cake, its the rathe coucilmen that's the script...could almost care less about what AE AoE has, he's a quick zerg kill.
First of all....by this quote i dont think you've ever done this encounter, second of all under a Rathe Councilman it specifically says 12 of these in the zone, some mezzable, some not. All 12 must be killed in order to have the Avatar of Earth spawn.
So they are dead.... 6 of the mobs are mezzed at low life and 6 are OT'd now they have to be killed in a short time so thats why they are at low life then you kill the ot'd ones and move to the mezzed ones after they are all dead if it was done in time the AOE spawns then you kill him.
My guild has taken this guy out three times, and the third time I was lucky enough to tank him.
The parse shows him having roughly 500k hitpoints, which is about right for a two minute fight of basically pure melee. The casters are OOM within just a few casts, so their overall damage in the fight is pretty darn low.
He quads for 1613 max in Defensive on a Warrior @ a 16 delay, putting out 1006dps to me at the time of writing this post (2226ac). Mind you, non Defensive (and non Warrior) max hit is going to be a bit higher.
He also has another AE/Proc that's not listed above. It's called Ashen Form, Lucy link below:
I found this bad boy on me after I had finished the fight. I had never realized he casts it (or procs, dunno), but I guess this is the reason why agro often gets so bouncy during this fight. I just assumed he mem blurred. Guess not /shrug
For us we got Chestguard of Enchanted Marble, Leaf-twined Guards, Elemental Greaves Mold I dont know when they started giving 3 loots per kill on EP gods but I am sure not complaining :)
How can he be 80? Last I checked he was 75. And how do we even know that he is 75? he could be 68, considering red is 3+. And why did he get upped to 80? Was it because of the new level cap?
I think they figure out Level by how much of a challenge the creature is I have no clue how it went from 75 to 80 and truly we dont know wether Avatar of Earth is a 68 or 86 when you think about it.
Is my understanding that Nightraid has beat every elemental god with the help of Cats N Hats the top guild on the server working with 120+ people. While it is awsome that a open raid is now time flagged you guys cant come here and take credit for it all. Please correct me if im wrong.
NR is an independant organization that is open to all that wish to come. You have misunderstood, or been misinformed of us having to use 120+ peeps to kill a god. The only time I recall having 110+ is for our first successful run on TRC, which has been downed multiple times, and with less people each time. The honest truth is that many people that dont attend NR come out for a flag when they see the opportunity.
Lastly, CiH members attend NR... true. The fact you probably dont know is that most CiH members that come were in NR before they joined CiH. So before everyone goes putting them down, maybe you should ask around and see facts before putting an organization down for a great acheivement. On average nights we see around 80+ people, not 120+.
If I missed something please post here, I will be glad to clarify further.
WTB people knowing about the encounter before posting stupid things and making themselves look like fools

I'm looking forward to this encounter! looking at his Ae and the effect, this definatley looks like a range fight with casters and healers out of range of his Ae

Obsidian Coven on CT completed this event in house Thursday June 3rd, 2004. Is a great but grueling event. With 6 Chanter Mezzed and 5 Tank Mezzed one critical person LD's and the entire Raid can be thrown into a tailspin rather quickly.
AoE is a pushover really. If your guild can actually spawn him you wont have any problems killing him. Drops were: Chestguard of Enchanted Marble , Leather Pant Pattern and Sword of Primordial Power. Nice haul days work if you ask me.

As a lvl 65 shaman I have recently got my PoEb flag and I'm looking forward to this encounter! looking at his Ae and the effect, this definatley looks like a range fight with casters and healers out of range of his Ae which has 100% mana increase on spells being cast, and I'm pretty sure DPS would have to be pretty insane to get him down quick so the healers and casters don't go oom before he's dead!
Aye, I'll agree with this poster. The double mana cost is really not anything to worry about. I only have a 5.2k unbuffed mana pool and I didn't drop below 50m. Mostly chain nuking, that is.
