Just helped a guildmate get Sir Lucan. You DO take a faction hit for killing the live version, and YES you DO take a faction hit for being in the zone when your group finishes off the undead version also (found this out myself). I was told that you do not get a faction hit with the undead version. TRUST ME... YOU DO. I instantly became KOS and have been working on the goblin ears for 2 days, I have turned in approximately 200 and I am still KOS. I have read on other posts that the KOS status is irreversible. To date... it seems they are right. I am going to stay in Highpass for another 300 ears or so (killing all I am able to and purchasing them for 2pp/ea also) and will let you know if anything changes.

A better quest to do is the inert potion quest in erudin. look up the quest and there is a post that details how to get your faction here as well as a few other hard to raise factions up with no faction loss anywhere else

Level 60 Monk ran into house pulled him to south wall, near zone to EC.
Level 59 Enchanter mezzed him.
Both zoned.

Ok all, I just killed Sir lucan DLere yeaterday with a 60war,51 cleric, 40 paladin, 40 war,and a 45 monk. He doesn't take much to kill him but you gotta watch out for the pulling. I pulled them all and everything was on me. I zoned then we waited for Lucan to get all alone. When he was about 3 1/2 quarters through his life he did a zone call and we had to kill every one of them freaky guards. The skeleton pops RIGHT after you kill him so you better make sure you are rdy. The faction hit is terrible. I was at my best faction with it and then when I killed him I was KOS automatically!!! I needed the faction so I went to HK and collected alot of goblin ears!!! but I am STILL KOS in FP and I think it will take a little longer to level my faction with him so I can go turn in the testimony to paladin guild. Well, good luck to all the paladins that want to kill him!!!

just thought you might want to know this, i believe the faction loss is irreversable. wfp and efp now hate you but nfp loves you. there is a hidden tunnel all the way to the left wall of... um forgot which fp zone it was hehe. the zone is the one without the docks in it. if you always take the left turn in the tunels you will reach nfp and be able to turn in the testimony, make sure you are an ally to the guild first. good luck on getting your soulfire.

I've been on three Lucan raids and every time the Lucan Skelly pops in the exact spot where Lucan drops dead. It pops immediately after Lucan dies.

Hi all, can someone please tell me the name of the lich and his lvl please? Much appreciated.
Could anyone clarify for me whether you get the faction hit after you kill his live form or after you kill his undead form. I believe the answer is obvious, that is, after you kill his live form, but I just want to make sure for the sake of my guildmates that will be assisting me. Thanks for any info, and please no posts telling me how to get out of taking the faction hit.

Well, I now know that you take the faction hit for the live version. The call to zone came late while killing the live version and a couple who had decent faction immediately became very KOS. The zoned and were unable to return before the Lich version was slain.
I do not know whether the Lich version also carries the faction hit.

First of all u don't need many ppl to kill him if u do the right thing..
Here is what u should do:
1. Gather a group of 3 level 50's or so to be on the safe side.
2. Get your group to stay by the wall where the kos tunnel is and as near as the zoneline to ec as u can get.
3. The pulling: Just run in and pull him out and make a train of guards (you might want to get a invis if u are kos and don't want to get the guards on u to earli).. then zone to ec.. be sure to have a non kos person rdy to hail Sir Lucan by the zoneline... doing this Sir Lucan will stay left by the zoneline while the other guards returns to their spots (beware of that Sir Lucan will run after the mobs near him so it could be a little hard to make him stay where u want..)When he is finally alone, pull him to your group and beat the crap out of him... =)
Notes: Sir Lucan Dlere is to find at the first floor of the Militia building.. Just when u enter the first door, turn left go straight and go in the door to the left of u when u hit the end of the corridor... then just go in the other doors there til u get to him... He always has two guards by him...

The way ive seen it done is pretty much the same but he wont run around if you pull him to the N FP zone dnno but it sounds a bit easyer but thats just my 2 cp worth
I have helped a guild member kill this guy to get his Soulfire (I am next, woot!). He hits very hard but aside from that is not that difficult of a kill. I was under the (mistaken) impression he was a paladin, he is not. He is a warrior.
Now all I have to do is get used to being KOS.. keep nearly running through the gates before I remember.

Ok I've killed Lucan and his Lich 3 times and Brother Jentry one or two times and a few of the Freeport Malitia here and there. Lucan is the really big faction hit tho as far as I can tell. Anyway, I could care less about getting back Freeport Malitia faction but boy was I suprised when I decided to sneak thru the sewers to thru the rouge guild to hitch a ride on the boat when 2 rouges decided they wanted to rape me in under 1.5 seconds flat includeing a 378 bs and some double 340, 280s. I have to admit I havn't been the cleanest Paladin but I do watch what I kill. Actually as I write this I do remember killing one rouge in Steamfont for my budys epic <shrug>.
Well anyway. I was hopeing that somone could help me remember what factions adjustments are taken for killing Lucan? I'd still like to ride the slow wind powered boats thru OOT to visit my favorite out of the way islands without paying for a port to BB every time. Thanks in advance.

My guild yesterday killed this guy easily. I was not one that pulled so I do not know exactly how he was pulled, but anyways we pulled him into the big room behind toxdill in the sewers and then proceded to kill him. we had some minor loyal guards that followed him out but they were easy too.

I don't see what the big deal is about reversing your Freeport Militia faction.. what do you really need it for anyway? The tunnels get to the bank easy enough, and you can get to the dock from North Ro, maybe just need a little camo or sneaking to get to the dock, and hang out in the water for a little while. I would rather do that every time I need to use that boat than to sit for hours on end trying to reverse a faction like that ;p

he dunt seem to be that hard but i need to know how much dmg he can do somone said he has 10k hp from what he believes and i dont think thas to much at all but if he can hit like 200s i have a problem.

That sounds good on paper, but killing Lucan is peculiar. The faction changes seem to be irreversable. No matter how many orcs you kill or whatnot, it's impossible to be un-KoS to all the militia in freeport.

All you peeps who are trying to kill Lucan without getting KoS faction are foolish. Yes it is possible to get un KoS but... As a Paladin you should be slayed if you even think of trying to get on Lucans good side. Lucan is our enemy and he must be killed every chance you get. Also kill every freeport guard possible. You should not want to have good faction with east and west freeport. As a Paladin its your duty to destroy the evil Militia and if your a KoS Paladin that wants to be un KoS you are a fool, and you are not a Loyal Paladin. Ok, first off this is sooooo not the Pally's epic. This is merely needed to obtain it. I won't go into the long details of how to obtain the Epic however you turn in Ghoulbane and Soulfire to 2 specific Npc's then you can get the Fiery Avenger; the Pally's 3rd Holy Sword. Then you do another whole quest which includes giving uo the Fiery Avenger to get the Fiery Defender; the Paladins Epic weapon.

between 7-9 hours. His skele de-spawned on me last night about 3 and I finally saw Lucan up today at 11 in the morning. So, I don't know what to tell you.

99.9% of the time he's already spawned right where he always sits. He is in a room the Militia house near the west fp gate. just go in the front door and stay to the left. If for some reason he has been killed recently when you go and look, I have been told the spawn time is 6 hours.

I'm only level 17 and already glowered at dubiously, but having researched paladins I knew right off the bat that at some point I would end up KOS in FP.
But anyway to clarify, as some day I hope to kill Lucan, if you are in a group and the rest of the group zones before Lucan dies, they take no faction hit?

No matter what your class or race is, just by tapping him with ur sword will get you KOS if he is killed and ur still in the zone. Don't think that any quest will do. I've already petitioned this and got confirmation.
