I'm filling in holes in my "hunter" and I haven't seen him before. Tonight he spawned in the pit at -103 +556.

i've been playing Final Fantasy XI for like 2 years now or something and my character name ... is Zelrin, I've been using the name since i first played D&D.. when i saw a monster in another game stole my name , i had to laugh :P

actually, since the exspansio this monster is from came out Before you FF 11 , You stole his name.
uh considering he said hes used the same name since D&D the mob stole his name you know D&D used to be dice and all that jazz not the hhorrible game they made with its name

Have fought him 3 times this week ... twice 3 days ago and again last night. First time he dropped Zek Crested Buckler and Spectral Parchment, second ornate silk sleeve pattern and a Spectral Parchment, last night Zek Crested Buckler, Spectral Parchment and Glyphed Rune Word. He was no different than the rest of the mobs in the pit, some are highly resistant, others need no debuffs at all.
he dropped orenate bracer mold and war magus arrow guard yesterday.

I've fought a lot in Tactics and finally saw this guy in the pit... Rumour had it he spawns and despawns fairly quickly, but he was up for a good hour or so before I decided to take him out due to boredom... One thing of note was that RZ was up at the time and Glykus and Overseer had been taken out earlier in the day... Not sure if his spawn is in relation to RZ being up, or if his spawn is on a cycle after other names are up and killed, or just totally random...
Anyways, dropped the Arrow Guard for me... Easily own by a Boar pet, but very MR...

Killed him awhile back when i first got tactics flagged, droped rune and silk sleeves. Also have seen him despawn 15mins after he spawns i know this cause i was soloing piglet when he spawned.

Does he spawn at any particular spot in the pit? My group was killing wraiths in the SE corner, but he never popped.
It is a random spawn.

War Magus' Arrow Guard also dropped.
Can Drop all gloves and bracer patterns and have heard reports of boot molds but not confirmed

It spawns in the pit, and paths around in the same manner as normal War Wraiths.
Aye. Keep killing War Wraiths to get this guy to spawn. You will see him fairly quickly.

My xp group killed him today. He dropped a spectral parchment.

He's fully slowable. A full group of us killed him fairly quickly, as all he was doing was casting and just getting beat on.
Dropped nothing for us, though. :( Will have to keep an eye out for him again, since I didn't know he had the chance to drop a rune. :)

used charm pets to kill him as I was soloing, spends too much time casting, pet beat him down np.
Very resistant to magic. Even with tash, greater fetter was about the only thing I could land on him. Even then he resisted it about 1/2 the time.
