Partially slown and still hit for 500's with full Defensive on.

Was quite nasty. Couldn't solo him with 70 war yet.

He is the opener to the Villager Trial for HoHb access.

He's tough, but if prepared, you should take him down between 30 seconds and 1 minute. Immediately after, the trial starts and you procede from there.

Total trial time: 10 to 15 minutes at best, 20 minutes at worst.

just did him with a raid force of 56 or so on Fennin Ro. He spawned Rydda Dar dragon upon death. RD does AoE fear but for some reason it only lasted for a few seconds on me. By time RD was 40% most of raid had died and he took out the pet then myself in two swipes.

Sorry, but this is the actually the guy you kill to start the Save the Maidens Trial for HoHb access. Villager Trial is started by talking to Rhaliq Trell.

My mistake, you are correct. Either way, he starts a trial for HoHb access. And it's not the dragon trial (Rydda Dar).
It's level 63, and nasty.

He hits for 900 and has at least 100k hp, probably more like 150; I can kill a 25k hp mob in 8 minutes, and spent 45 minutes kiting him. I had him to 30% at that point, and my modem crashed.

When you tell the trial guys you're ready, this guy spawns. He's essentially there to prevent people from blowing the trial spawns; it actually was a good thing that I'd failed to kill him.

If he dies, the trial is actually triggered, be it a dragon fight or villager protection or some kind of kidnapping. You need a raid force. If you fail it takes hours to reset. If you succeed it takes days to reset.

If he kills you, he goes back to spawn, despawns, and the trial is reset in a few minutes (15 or so max).
