This is incorrect....

My guild have tried 2 times and we have been able to pull VZ alone....

Both TZ and VZ.....On Real RZ on first try we were able to put him down to 10%, the many adds killed us...the second try we put him down to 5%....We getting close.

Very fun Raid....

When we tried pulling it came with 4 adds also...any advice is welcome. I heard camping may resolve it.

When you kill Rallos zek, the fake one, the Decorins that spawn during the fight will now pop in the pit with the real RZ. They can be pulled without RZ, have a very low magic resist and a fully slowable, so it's just more a nuisance than a real new danger.

The adds you got during the fake RZ fight were just the repop

I hate to say it, but we wiped to Fake Rallos last night. We did all correctly leading up to the beginning of Fake RZ fight. During fake RZ fight, approximately 10 mobs, some unmezzable, zerged us. We feel that this is another modification by Sony to either make it more difficult to get into EP and beyond, or to drive people to GoD. Keep an eye out for this possibility if you plan an upcoming raid on RZTW.

Actually, if you do not clear both hallways when you move into the roomt o fight the fake RZ, you will get the regular adds spawned during fake rz + the hallway spawns.

If you can get to the fake RZ you should have the time to clear both hallways.

Vallon Zek splits into 5, not 2. Killed him last night and it was without a doubt 5 in each wave after the first kill.

Yes, the real VZ actually depsawns into 5 versions of himself, the Vallon Zek in the RZtWL script actually splits into 2 more (so you have original and 2 more to contend with)

to gage the difficulty of this event, think of it this way:
Tallon Zek is the second hardest part of this encoutner
Vallon Zek(s) are the easiest
Fake Rallos Zek is second Easiest
RZtWL is hardest, and ONLY due to his adds. RZtWL without the adds would be tremendously easier then the TZ portion of this.

Quick Dirty event flow. Enjoy :wink:

Move to the top and grab your triggers.

Killing the triggers spawns fake TZ / VZ in each hall.

Upon killing them Rallos Zek Spawns.

Pull him kill him

AE TL re zone in

Move to one end of the pit.

Pull and kill RZtW

Pickup raid (no raid club, real pickup =D) completed the RZTW script with 72 people on Mithaniel Marr.

Only 10 in that raid were EP flagged already, and only 2 time flagged. Grats on EP access all!

I noticed the comments about mobs Decorin Berik and Decorin Grunhork indicate the "real" Rallos Zek is spawned? Can anyone confirm this?

If so what do you do, kill Grunhork and Berik?

The post you're getting that number from was about player hp, not the mobs. Rallos Zek and most of the other mid end PoP bosses are in the 500K neighborhood.

Perhaps useless info, but this picture is of the fake RZ. The real RZ is fought in the pit. (notice the table behind him?)

Still working on trying to kill this guy.
It's a pain in the butt just to get to him though :(

Yes, there is a reason. Because SOME OF US like to read lore and know what/who we are killing. Not all of us are hack-n-slashing Everquest fiends, we actually enjoy the storyline of the game. So yes. There is a reason for this post.

The best way to handle adds is with Monks. Put 4 monks, 1 mage and 1 druid in the group. 1 monk flops in the NW corner and 1 in the NE corner. The other 2 monks are for field. Pull RZ to the SE corner and have raid kill him. When spawns occur the corner monks pong them back and forth along the north wall while the other 2 monks pull field adds to the party on the north wall. When a field monk pulls adds to the pong monks he FDs and the Mage CoHes him to the raid and then the druid heals him up and then he continues to watch for adds getting to close to the raid. After RZ dies trans everyone out of pit. All the adds will go camp RZ. Then have the monks pull the adds away from RZ along the east and south wall and die. The adds will not move if the monk is dead. Then have raid levitate back into the middle of the pit from the west wall and when clear move them to RZ'z corpse.

Thats a hell of alot of trouble to get rid of the adds. If you have enchanters and necros, have them charm the adds and send them in to help with RZTW when they get hit by the rage of zek spell, they die and you have nothing but a RZTW loots to fight for when he is dead :)

you have to have a hell of a lot of charmers to get rid of all the adds in the fight, of which many spawn if it takes you a while to kill him. regardless, it is important to have the dps in the first 60 or so seconds of the fight, so you have more luck CoD'ing the mobs that are already spawned before you engage RZtW, mainly in the rooms off of the pit.

He is correct, and he can tell because the real Rallos Zek spawns in the pit. There is no bed in the pit, where as there IS a bed in the room where the fake Rallos spawns.

AE rampages

hits for 1072 Max, which isnt all that hard.

AE is Rage of zek, does about 2400 DoT dmg. resistable with 100+ FR

summons a ton of Adds from the Dead targetable corpses in the pit..

Although there is an emote about RZtW's will reanimating the corpses, there actually were no corpses till sometime after he'd been engaged - they are simply a timed spawn.

Downed on Brell Serilis on January 11, 2003 by Silent Redemption, exactly one year and a day after the Avatar of War was defeated. Enshadowed followed suit on March 5, 2003. VERY fun encounter the first few times you run through it.

This picture is the fake Rallos Zek, who depops once you get him to 60%. Rallos Zek the Warlord, the one who drops loot, pops after this guy depops.

He actually depops at 50%, not 60%.

Don't TL at 60%, you'll have wasted quite a bit of effort.
