Dropped Nightmare Mephit Heart 7/26/03. Rare, we killed a lot of Agonys and Miserys before it dropped but was definitely a Misery that coughed up the heart.

Heart worked to complete box of souls, ping aa and upgrade charm on finished flag.

Can anyone give resistance info/mob type/caster/HP or these. Maybe bardic 4 chant info on which are there stongest and weakest resistances? are they slowable/mezzable/charmable? See invis?
Agony & Misery Mephits are immune to run speed changes. As I was root-rotting, I bypassed them.
A Mephit can be rooted & snared & rotted.
I don't use any cold-based magics & didn't try disease-based, but snare, root, fire dots, poison dots & magic dots all landed fine for me as a 70th necromancer FDing & root rotting my way thru for the bloods.

Casts lure of lightning and spells lower than that. Will gate if not around spawn point. They can gate to other spawn points if no other mob at that spot.(bug?)
Got maybe 10K hp.
Hit for around 350, take or give 30.
Not way magicresistant. More resistant to fire and cold though.
Do NOT run when low on hp. Fight to death.

Normal Mephits and Misery Mephits do not drop the earring. they may have at one time. but I am 100% positive they do not drop the earring. only the agony mephit will. for the last week and a half friends and I have been killing these things ruthlessly, non stop, hundreds of em. they appear to drop parchments on a rare, but not frustrating basis. but never drop the earring. (anymore?)
-- And Yes. Agony Mephit Has been known to drop a Spectral Parchment. one out of 4 kills, he did for us.

Does any of the mephit or high level goblins here drop Spectral Parcments besides the named Agony Mephit? heard peeps say they drop S parchments.

Parchments drop of Hobgoblins for sure - cant remember if it was scourge, horror or regular exactly but I htink they came off any type. Not sure on mephits.

More specifically, the right branch leads to mephits and eventually gloom nightmares. Regular mephits drop diamonds, Blue Diamonds, and Raw Diamonds, as well as nightmare mephit blood and nightmare mephit skin. There's a named "Agony mephit" that can spawn anywhere in the tunnel leading up to the nightmares. He can drop spectral parchment, as well as uncommon "agony mephit heart" which is LORE and NODROP. He commonly drops "Sinew Tied Bone Earring" which is for ENC NEC MAG WIZ and is LORE, with ac2, 5int, and a few other stats.
With the latest patch, they now drop the heart everytime I am told. It did drop the heart last time we killed it post patch.
Correction. Sometimes it didn't drop the heart. About 50/50 from my experience.
Mephits of all kinds live in one branch of the large cave in this zone. the cave entrance is underwater(in big lake) near the hobgoblins, a short swim takes you to dry cave. start of the cave is all goblins, then it splits off into Bats and Mephits.
If you follow the mephits, you come out up on a plateau with the gloom nightmares and a few banshees.
