Been quading these some time back... and... yes one did once summon me. I dare say that it had a capital A in it's name tho.. not sure.. but it DID summon. Just once this happened.

just saw a new thing with these silly little things on 21 aug 04, seems to be a couple out there that can see through rogues Shadow of Stealth AA. got a message that reads, "you suspect that this being can see you" quite alarmed, is this new? anyone else seen this?
RE: see through SoS
# Aug 22 2004 at 11:42 AM Rating: Decent
Yep, sees through invis. Pullers beware it easily can follow SoW so don't tarry too long ;-)Can double for 315, conned red at 52 so level is right.
These guys are great xp, just pull to the hedge where the Pox-guy stands it's a safe spot. This mobs have a huge aggro range though.
NO Summon
# Jul 27 2004 at 7:59 PM Rating: Decent
NO, they do NOT summon. At least not the nettling wraiths. I've been summoned by scourge hobgoblins, vexed banshees, the crocidile hunter mobs but not these. Every mob that could summone me did once my charm broke. I've charmed several of these and killed several near the hobgoblins. Not once was i summoned. They do on the other hand move VERY fast. Not sure the exact speed as i am a bard and its all relative. but they outdistance the hobgoblins quickly.

Just looked up the wraith from the Monstrous Manual: The wraith is an evil undead spirit of a powerful human that seeks to absorb human life energy.
These horrible creatures are usually seen as black, vaguely man-shaped clouds. They have no true substance, but tend to shape themselves with two upper limbs, a torso, and a head with two glowing red eyes. This shape is a convenience born from the habit of once having a human body.

If a wraith is an evil undead spirit, then why isn't it undead in EQ? Or at least, why doesn't it react to spells like it's an undead?

Summoning

Last night 7-17-03 these nasty little things did summon in fact they summoned my 52 shammy while on slowing duty....Not once but 4 times over a 2 hour period. I've read all the posts in the past they couldn't summon and while I wish it was true sadly they can Thank god for a decent SK tank that was able to quickly get agro back.... Ps our chanter was also summoned once when tashing and 2 times when crippling......

Hmmmm odd. Fought these all last night (9-4-03) and never once did anyone in our group get summoned. If someone else got aggro besides my SK, it would float over and start whacking them. I dont know if theres more than one camp - but we were fighting at the dock and never once in 25+ kills did anyone get summoned. Is there more than one camp of these critters?

Ok, I'm level 55 enchanter, I slow it'd summon, I'd cripple it'd summon. Yes, they summon but have no mana to drain with Theft of Thought. They're dark blue to me too btw. Hope this helps!

They don't summon. I've NEVER been summonned by one of these. I have been summonned repeatedly by "Wraith" and all of the banshees in the area.

I charmed several of these last night, and if there is one thing that you learn when charm breaks, it is whether the mob summons or not.

Nuf said.

Just spent several hours killing these at the dock. Every one was an even con to me, a level 55 Druid. 2 Stingers dropped but nothing else. Slowed easily by our Shaman, and resisted almost nothing. Very good exp too.
