Okay, Xanamech Nexmirthafen is an oddity, I tell you.

I will list the good points of him first.

1. Fire and Magic based resists. The spell says 'hit with steam' so I am going to say thats where the fire comes in.

2. NO FEAR! :o) However, a stun. Stun hits for 300'sh, and he has a Al'Kabor' type spell for roughly 800. Both are resistable.

3. Has roughly 150 - 200k HP's.

4. He is slowable, I believe. Occlusion him, Tash him, then Malo / slow him. Must be debuffed in that order or slow will not hit.

5. No dispell.

Bad points.
1. FAST! This guys is hasted at about 300%.

2. He does, in fact, quad 1390. However... it is a weird quad. It only happened one time. So, I am thinking that he has a CHANCE to double attack, and is usually only useing his two claws, giveing him duel weild. I studied the parse from from my log and poor Arduin took close to 3k in about, ohhhh, 4 attacks. Needless to say, he respawned at the zonein a while later. lol

3. Resists are not too bad other than magic, however Lure of Lightning did hit him for full damage + ID3. I believe LoLightning is magic based, can not remember.

4. We had a guild attempt him last night, however I did not hang around to see the results of thier raid. They had around 40'ish people with them, and they are one of the Big 3 on The Rathe, Noble Blade. Like I said, I don't know how they faired.

Nitram Anizok - The Gnome will argo to your raid if you are not careful. No Illusions for you! He don't like Imps, Werewolves, nor does he like Skellies. He will tolerate bears however. The Gnome is also exeptionally rough! He is one tough cookie! Hits for about 200 on average and is rather quick. He has I am guessing 50k'sh HP and in a pinch you could possibly let him tank for you. I do not know if he is charmable or mezable.... the raid said he was, but I could not confirm nor deny it. However, his resists are pretty wimpy. I rooted him several times just to give our raid a manabreak. He takes you to the right, and it seems as though you follow him for SEVERAL minutes, about a good 15 at least. Memblur is also a good thing on the gnome. Should he argo your party, simply memblur him and he will repath back to his original track.

His pathing is ALLLLLLLLL screwed up. We arrived at the junkyard to spawn the junkyard dog (see pic above) and I rooted him to regen lost mana, and get buffs right. Despite the propper steps, the dragon ripped us apart. We had him down to about 60 before we collapsed. Xenamech is not actually spawned when you arrive to the junkyard. He is there but untargettable. Layin like a junk pile. There are a few adds in the pile, but those can be pulled before you let the Gnome go tinker him.... which is advised. like I said, just root the gnome and pull the adds before you go in with the gnome.

I hope this info helps out anyone that wants to take him out. If a pickup raid is going to try this, make sure you have some experience on your side. About 50% of our raid was 60+. We had roughly 30 people. I would imagine 40 Ubers or 55 - 60 everydays could do this fairly easy. Its all about DPS, and MR (for the stun)/ FR (for the steam).

Good luck and well wishes!

Nice post.
I noticed you mentioning where the gnome will agro illusions and I just wanted to throw in wolf form from druid and rangers as well.

With recent changes to how Illusions affect factions, it is possible that the Gnome may no longer aggro those using illusions. Test with caution, and BEFORE you take a raid there.

#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 28 2002 at 6:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Aye, this is INDEED the Tinkered Dragon that almost destroyed Ak'Anon and Steamfont. Trakanon just ruined the Iksar Empire on an ENTIRELY different continent and is Undead and still exists.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 28 2002 at 11:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Here, lemme clear up some lore:

Actually, the story of Eldril isn't part of "official" Everquest Lore. Trakanon never went to Ak'Anon, and its a different dragon corpse in Steamfont.

Your history of Trakanon doesnt match up well with the True history of him. Did you just make it up to fit with the now known existance of a tinkered dragon, or is there some unkown truth to it?

Nah, the dragon that almost destroyed Ak'Anon was a poison dragon, something along the lines of Trakanon. Its skeletal remains are still there.

He aggros on wolf form, and possibly some other illusions. I would recommend telling your raid not to illusion.

Did he AE anything when you triggered him? I um.. kinda... sorta.... woke him up without the quest, though he's still untargetable that way, so I died... but he had no AE. How about when he's targettable?

To trigger him go to the Gnome that spawns in the hut on the far right path from entrance and hail him.

Nitram Anizok says 'Oh my hello! It has been such a long time since I have had visitors. Have you come to learn of [advanced tinkering] as well?'

You say, 'advanced tinkering'

Nitram Anizok says 'Aye, I advanced to this plane due to my work on tinkering back in Ak`Anon. A grand city it is, but my abilities were compromised with the materials I had to work with there. My body and soul has come to rest here, forever coming up with new ideas. You should be aware though that this plane is not how it was when I arrived. Much [construction] has taken place.'

You say, 'construction'

Nitram Anizok says 'When I first arrived I started creating smaller things. As time went on my inventions became more and more focused and impressive. I started building steam powered clockwork to help me gather materials. I had gone too far giving them the ability to learn and with a built in desire of self perpetuation. They began to integrate themselves with the clockwork that already existed within the factory that you can see if you step outside. I once worked within the factory with a kind and fair gnome, Meldrath. Now that he has gone missing the clockworks seem to be working towards a more devious goal. The clockwork out here in the junkyard have been discarded due to their malfunction or replacement by a more efficient series. Needless to say their [instinct for survival] has not been lost.'

You say, 'instinct for survival'

Nitram Anizok says 'The clockwork have become increasingly aggressive because of their desperation for spare parts. I have to defend myself anytime I head out to find parts for my tinkering. I fear for my safety with what is being built in the factory. I have started to build myself my own means of defense. It is nearly completed but I need an odd combination of batteries to start it up. I should have planned more carefully for it to use simple mana batteries.'

You say, 'what combination of batteries?'

Nitram Anizok says 'Well you see when I was back home it was common for me to use a mycological spore extricate-kinetoconvertor to power my devices. I started planning my defense to use this as a power source out of sheer habit. Here in this desolation the mushrooms that were grown back home do not exist. I am going to have to rig something from spare parts. It is taking a long time with my having to search the junkyard small portions at a time due to the clockworks. Would you help me in [collecting materials]?'

You say, 'collecting materials?'

Nitram Anizok peers over some schematics laying on a table next to him. 'Let us see here. I have some of the base parts for the power source. If you could collect a copper node, a bundle of super conductive wires, and an intact power cell I could power up the machine. Good luck to you Kellithe, I hope that we can work together on this.'

-----

the three items drop randomly around the zone, not realy common but not rare as ME's Shard either =p anyway hand him the items and he starts the LONG walk to the dragon, this is just like walk the gnome quest in CT, when he gets to the dragon he'll spawn it, keeeel for phat lewtz

ok...after he walked you to the dragon, couldn't you have spoken to him again??? maybe there was another quest with him thanking you and giving you something i dunno...Then when you finish that you kill the dragon?
I'm just wondering.
RE: What I want to know

The dragon is berserk and aggros on spawning, you don't have a chance to talk to the Gnome from what I understand.

However, after killing the dragon, each member of the raid can Hail the Gnome to get flagged for the PoI factory door.
