Warrior Pollen
# Jan 21 2006 at 8:43 PM Rating: Decent
There are plenty on Warrior Wasps in the area if you know where to wait. Most of the ones i have killed were near the orc hill. But to no avail, only Wasp Winds and Venom Sacs. I've been trying these kills for the Pollen since 5th level and now I'm 15th. I think that the quest is a dead one now. I think that they want you to do the PoK quests for the armor, seeing that you get a piece of Art Keepers Armor for every Note you give your guild.
Killed a bunch.

I have seen more than twenty of these in the last two days. And killed them all to (hopefully) spawn Giant Sylvan Bats for the Cleric newbie armor. And it has worked. Search South-East or North-East of the Orc camps, directly SE or NE. Thats where I see most of them.

*** After a bit of work on this ***

I did not get the pollen however, Just south of the Orc hill, these *DO* spawn. the closest spawn points I could get are

1424.90 357.97 -33.05 / 1619.74 212.52 -33.16 / 1649.05 8.36 -33.989

if you go south of Orc hill you can run east/west just like the one post says. Everything from Mature Aboreans, Widow Matriachs, giant bats... all the mature mobs for the newb armor spawn here. Even the Baslisk Hatchlings.

Using the instructions I was able to (for the first time) even see one. And kill about 6-8 before I had to go to bed. You know so many people ask for spawn points, well, they move once they spawn anyways. I dont think they spawn like that anyways. it would be point 1, then 2, then 3 then a wasp... point 1,2,3 wasp... and anyone one of those COULD be a wasp it seemed. Usualy an Aborean or a spider though.

I've been working on the Defender Armor Quest since level 1. I'm at level 20 and have killed over 100 of these, which isn't easy to do as rare as they are, and I've never seen an eye or the Thorax, the thorax being what I need. If anyone needs this full armor set, good luck.
Stupid Newbie Quest

These quests should be ended as the Dang wasp warrior should not be rare at all since i got 20 pristene scales to my 0 pollens. Newbie quests shouldn't be this dang difficult. Upper tier quests i can understand but this is stupid.

I actually saw 3 of these this morning. All at the same time. Two came from the east most pathing that I mentioned earlier and the other came from the west

There are three spawn points that I've seen. East of Orc hill, and just out of sight of the camp, are three mob paths that they travel on. Two of them are very close to eachother so I suspect that they both come from the same spawn point. The other is just a little further east. I've seen them spawn from the this one. Stand on the north side of that big stump east of Orc hill and look slightly to your right and You'll see it. It also appears to be a random spawn point cause right after I killed it, two spiders spawned.

There seems to be one on the west side of Orc Hill too. You know those two loner tens over there? I THINK I saw one spawn just north east of them. Not sure. Even so there is a mob path backthere.

All in all, just kill everything in sight. There are a couple of workers that are pathing around there and plenty of spiders. I was on for 45 min this morning and I saw four total on the east side(got one pollen).

Possible Help

In my quest to find Giant Sylvan Bat Furs, I've done a lot of killing of the Wasp Warriors (very possibly a PH for the Bats). I've noticed a very sharp increase in the number of Wasp Warrior spawns when the Orc camps around Orc Hill are being cleared. Hope this helps!

Also, at level 12, some are still conning Light Blue with an extremely rare Dark Blue.

I've been trying to hunt them also for about a month, for the Art Keepers Quests. It seems to me that the Gods should have more spawning than they do. They already have a rare drop for the quests in the form of the pristine drakeling scale, the scarcity of the warrior spawns make the quests just that much more difficult. It's taking the fun out of the quest and just making it more tedious. I'm sure that many players just give up on it.

I have run across a few, mainly in the woods away from either Kelethin or Felwithe. They can be certainly higher than level 5, the last one I saw conned red to my level 6 wizard and easily took her out.

I too would love to know where this elusive creature is. I have been hunting it near the Orc Hill as instructed and have only found two of them so far.. Can you find them anywhere else?
