May as well just say it then, to gain these all you do is kill a greater shaman for the pouch, and Krode for the bowl (Both in the Warrens) Once you have done that hand both items in to the chick next to Mr high and mighty(Not sure what her name is but she's in the top room) in the Deepwater knights guild for the leggins.

They look like a blue dress with purple highlights

For a more detailed version of this just head to the quest section

The Diviner's Bowl is Shammy only and is no drop. It's useless if you are any other class. The 10% WR bag is just OK, but having only 6 medium slots limits it's usefulness, and it's also no drop. This quest isn't nearly as bad as the Screaming Mace quest.

It's cool to play them. Not many so you can say your one of a few of an elite group. ;) I have a 52 Erudite Cleric myself. =p
Erudite Paladins

I thought the first player to complete the FA was a Erudite Paladin?

Bottom line is do you "play" this game or not. If you "play" then you may want a challenge when you "play" and take this most difficult path for a paladin.

Not everyone is in it for loot and make level 60 in 3 days. Most are not looking for the easy road. Those that are usually play druids and necromancers.

Actually, I play a Druid because, like said below, it was the most appealing class in the game and also because I study Druidy in real life. My druid was created for personality not for stats...he's a Half Elf (who is the "worst" class for a druid, I've been told repeatedly) and at 46 his wis is barely above 130. Those looking for the "easy road" pick classes that have "uber" stats (god I hate the overuse of that word!) like Halfling, which is why you see so many halfing druids. As far as paying for ports or sows, well, if someone offers me a donation I take it. Otherwise I never ask. The only thing I expect in return is a "thank you"....which, sadly enough, I get less than 50% of the time.

I also have two other "uncommon" character types: an Erudite Paladin, who is fun to play regardless of "stats", and a Gnomish Cleric....who's wis rocks and she looks so damned cute besides!!!

No, the first person to finish the FA quest was a human paladin named Musk on Tunare =) I remember being online at the time he finished it and seeing the broadcast message.

I personally play a druid, and I hate to ruin your theroy, but it wasn't because it was the easiest path. When I first bought this game, the druid was the most appealing class to me was all. I didn't know anything about which was more powerful, or the easiest to play. I don't farm, don't camp spots often, and don't powergame really, but I really do enjoy a druid (cept for the port and sow requests).

I am, however, thoroughly sick of overgeneralizations. Why should us druids port and sow and heal and buff people we don't know, when 90% of the EQ community hates us or stereotypes us into farming punks who powergame constantly and are total pricks to everyone? It makes no sense for us to help even one damned person when almost everyone out there loathes us.

RE: Erudite Paladins
# Jun 18 2001 at 8:28 PM Rating: Decent
Isn't it pretty obvious why you are stereotyped? You guys often freely give out Sows and ports but all of a sudden start charging. You should always demand payment on services if you hate the beggers. if they wont pay you then dont cast on em. About the farming, I don't personally believe all druids farm, but you Druids are just good at it. with 200+ wisdom you will hardly ever have to group, thus making druids supreme fighters.

I don't think Druids would be the easiest to play if it was your main character. There really isn't an easy class if you are untwinked the entire gaming career. (off the subject) Everyone should play a character all the way through without recieving twinks. This makes people appreciate what they recieve.)

Just my thoughts on those kind druids who are always helping me :)

aS LONG as you are having fun playing the game with your main character, no matter what class he is, it should be ok. As for the steroytpes, i know being a shaman. everybody thinks were just for buffin and sowin. not true. shamans get some of the best dots and better than druid DD.As for erudite Paladins, i think they look like the Jedi knights in star wars and kinda look kewl
RE: Erudite Paladins
# Jun 19 2001 at 6:28 PM Rating: Default
He he, Shamen do NOT get better DDs than Druids. Their DOTs are alright, but they don't even get a single-target DD after lvl 54. The lvl 54 one not only hits for a relativly small amount of damage, it isn't particularly mana efficient. Shamen come maybe 4th, after wizzies, druid, and mages.
RE: Erudite Paladins
# Nov 22 2002 at 12:17 PM Rating: Good
The plural of Shaman is Shamans, not "Shamen."

# Jun 18 2001 at 6:51 AM Rating: Default
The kind that plays this game for the sure pleasure of it....go log on I think your going through withdrawals...*wink*
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 17 2001 at 9:46 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What pally would play an erudite?, they have poor melee stats, a high elf for the wis or a dwarf for the all- around stats would be much better. Erudites are better suitedfor pure casters and they cant even see in the dark, night-vision isnt REALLY, relevant but still stupid, no self-respecting paladin would choose and erudite as a race, power to the Dwarves and Elves

I guess my gnome warrior would make you violently ill. Oh wait, level 11 with 702hp and 498ac unbuffed??
/gasp
# Dec 27 2001 at 10:07 PM Rating: Default
a gnome warrior with 702hp and 498 ac at ELEVEN?!?

scary...i actually have a gnome warrior (named yoshigashimurai on erollisi marr) with something like 544 hp and 390 ac at almost 18

either you're more twinked than him (some crafted, some stuff from halloween GM event) or you took a screenshot while you were WAY buffed and took that for your max

rock on! half elf druids and gnome warriors ALL THE WAY!!!

<i have a half-elf druid (level 26) as well>
RE: erudites
# Jun 18 2001 at 10:20 AM Rating: Default
ok, first off...erudites have the same wisdom as high elves...secondly their naturally high intelligence helps bring up skills quickly. and if you're worried about not having night sight go kill a goblin high shaman in Sol A...he drops a Glowing Stone Band. 2ac, permanent effect when worn is Serpent Sight (infravision).

and btw Adailia Erudite Sks do rule..i am one :)
RE: erudites
# Jun 18 2001 at 12:00 AM Rating: Default
Well I would play a Erudite cleric, they have one of the best wisdoms possible for that class. They also have quest gear which overcomes many of their handicaps such as a infervision helm. They also are one of the cooler looking classes in their armor. True their strength is low but I sit on my butt like every other cleric so that isn't much of a handicap. Besides not everyone plays the game to be the most uber character on the server and isn't a bit boring seeing the standard types only.

I dont know..the only reason for an erudrite cleric would be for the armor. SK on the other hand...
look cool in armor, have high int, but still, low str and agi..
the stats for the erudrite and the location i think makes them(and the continent) not used much. Truthfully, i only went there for the kerra isle(kerra ridge). But now with SoL, im not doing that anymore, heh. The warrens is a good place to make money, but the XP sucks, and its hard for a wiz to solo...well, hard for em to solo anyway...
i think that if thier stats were better, and they had infra or ultra vis, the traffic there wouldnt be a problem.

On Xegony, not sure about other servers, The best of the best Shadow Knights was held a few days back. Can you guess the race that won? No, not troll. No, not ogre. An erudite shadowknight beat out all the fatties to win the best of the best. Maybe you sohuld tell him that erudites have bad stats ;)
RE: erudites

LOL gratz to the Erudite SK. Me personally play with a Troll SK cuz I like his STR and the challenge to get my faction up with "good" races just to bank :) But I do have an erud Mage that I think the mana regen is just too slow for mages so I havent played him in awhile :(
Leggins, Arms & BP
# Jun 17 2001 at 12:25 PM Rating: Default
I have the leggings and the arms & the BP. I sent a pictue to be posted showing me wearing it. I always get lots of complements. It is such a rich dark shade of blue! It is awesome armour I must say. The Muglwump in the Warrens drops the BP and it is a RARE drop. My friend a lvl 30 SK & I camped that damn MOB for 3 weeks before he dropped it at a time when I could loot it. I had help getting all 3 otherwise I never would have gotten it until a much higher level as the Muglwump is hard to kill. Neither quest for the armour is easy. Especially the part about killing the Kerran on the boat and finding the tools dropped in the water. Still it is well worth the trouble. This should last until I can get either the armor of RO or the scaled armor. The only down size of this armour is that all 3 pieces are ND. So it can't be sold (for a tidy profit) or traded. Ah well..

the thing you ppl dont get is that this zone is designed as a low level raid practice i think. you dont solo in there thats like asking for ****. you go in whit a group and go forward litle by litle. thats why they put the level cap on loot so that ppl cant use high level to do stuff. of course they can help but if they make the kill the loot goes poof.
