The real story on the Small Manisi Plant
# Nov 19 2003 at 10:14 AM Rating: Good
The Small Manisi Plant is not used for the Necro Epic. A different drop off the same mob is used for the Necro Epic - Manisi Herb.

The Small Manisi Plant is a great item for Soloing. It summons stacks of bandages (20) that are only 0.1 wt.

This item has been through a number of revisions.
Originally, the item dropped and had no effect.
The next day, harvest leaves was added, and you could get bandages that were tradable.
Then it was nerfed (to powerful I guess) and the leaves (bandages were made No Drop.

I was pretty lucky to get one when it originally dropped. I tossed it in the sack and then saw the upgrade (effect added) on Allakhazam two days later. I was a happy monk.

Grats to anyone else that got one. I know after the bandages went no drop that people were camping the mobs pretty hard to no effect. As far as I know, I have the only plant on Lanys.

Cidric - L65 Ench - Vita Infinita
lol monk lewt

heh i'm pretty sick of monks thinking everything should go to them, but this time lol...
A monk with maxed bind wound skill and 3 aa points can bandage to 100%, monk + fungi + vox/naggy bag + this plant = yeah
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 18 2003 at 11:56 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is Necro Epic stuff. Using it for anything else is a waste of loot. If your group does not have a necro do a /who all necro and find one sloe enough to come loot it before it disappears.

Sniff* this no longer drops
# Oct 31 2002 at 9:39 PM Rating: Default
Accorging to SOE, the decision to make the tinkered guaze press have charges was made because "anything that summoned unlimited bandages, except the procing knife, had long since been removed from the game" So, I am guessing that this no longer drops :(

Can someone who is absolutely sure verify if the Manisi Herb is the same as the Small Manisi Plant.

Manisi Herb is for the necro epic...it has no stats or effect. Small Manisi plant is something completely different :). Have gotten many herbs to drop but no plant *sigh* Oh well =/Both Manisi Herb and the Small Manisi Plant drop off of Grand Herbalist Mah'Ka.

#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 12 2002 at 4:52 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Unless I have my threads completely crossed this is also used for the Necro Epic. It is quite rare so IMO a necro should take priority in looting this item. After that it is a VERY nice item for those classes that use bind wounds alot when solo.

They summon a stack(20) of harvest leaves(bandages).. Self only 'bandages'
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 14 2003 at 12:45 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) not self only

It is particularly useful for people who (A) Can't heal themselves without bandages, (B) solo well, and (C) can bind wounds to 70% or higher. I don't know what other classes this might include, but I know that (dare I say it?) monks fit this description very well. Of course, every six minutes we can use mend, but it would be very, very slow solo xp if we had to rely on that. Shadow Knights might fit into this category as well, although I am not sure how well they can solo after level 50.

Typically, I get twice the xp solo that I get in any but the very best of small groups (2 or 3 people). I will kill something, bind wounds, kill something, bind wounds, etc. One of my favorite zones to do this in is very out of the way and does not have bandages for sale. I really need to get off my rear-end and camp this item.

RE: Regarding bandage summoning
# Aug 31 2002 at 9:55 AM Rating: Default
yes but its not a "monk item" becuase and class with bind wound would benefit from it...
RE: Regarding bandage summoning
# Aug 11 2002 at 4:18 PM Rating: Good
a) this item is not intended to be worn
b) monks usually expend some effort in aquiring weight reducing bags - often with at least one 100% weight reducing bag
c) having sufficient bandaids for a solo session would make a monk go over their weight limit (0.5 per stack) even ignoring the weight of the bags required to hold them

While I am personally pretty shy about crying "monk item", it is very clear that this particular item would be very useful to a monk, and I wish mine had one :)
I swear...

Harvest Leaves summons bandage-equivalent leaves. Not sure how many. Nice for soloers, especially with raised bind wound caps.

What is this? Very strange item, very strange effect, someone please explain...
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 26 2002 at 5:51 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The effect is a Bandaid summoning spell.
