Monk Item

Now why hasn't some Monk chimed in on this one? This is definatly a Monk item if I ever saw one. No weight and wearable by Humans and Iskar! Picky Monks only scream for the stuff others can use too, why not this one? Hmm... they must fear the Necros to much.

Maybe because, the lower a monk's weight is, the higher ac he/she will have. Whats the point in having a no weight item when it even reduces your ac, when having a 1 weight item will give you more?

Apparently no one understands sarcasm. And yes as I play a MNK ( after BST of course ) I am disgraced to see others "cry" over nice items. I am thouroughly ashamed.

For being so hard it seems his loot sure sucks. I know the no weight is pretty good but damn for a knife in my back to get these items no thanks

Mr anonymous,

If you spend about 1 minute reading the full info on this item you might see that it is used in a quest. The quest turns out one very nice shoulder slot for an erudite necro. So before you dis an item rainman, have a look at those things associated with it.

Most items around these days arre turn in items for an even better item, example, turn in a 5 ac 6 int bracer, for a 1 ac set of boots? are you crazy, well, the boots happen to be journeymans boots, which right clicks a nice little speed boost. turn in this CRAP for a 1 ac 10 int 75 mana shoulder piece? hmm, *thinks half a second* ok, where do I sign. one of the things ive been doing lately with crap items that drop off of 40 + mobs, hail peeps, check out allakahzam, look for quests, etc, just a few things to think about, if anyone has a set of these on lanys tval, that are still no drop, email at kthomasr1@cs.com will pay 500p for them, maybe more if able. thank you much.

Bah! It's No drop now!

Well I was helping an erudite necro friend with this quest.. I killed the Dark Assassin last night (with some help of a Cleric and a Bard). He has lots of hps.. and since all the websites I checked said the mantle was just a magic lore item I figured this would be a nice present for him to be on his way for completing the quest. But as I looted and looked at the Mantle it said NO DROP! I was sooo upset.. and his necro was all the way in Gfay :( and also it seems that the stats have changed some.. it's now -3ac 5str 5dex -3cha... so Varent has changed the Bloody Mantle just FYI.. it can't be multi-quested now

Multiquested items ARE no drop. There would be no point in MQ if they were dropable. The way MQ works is the person with the item they are MQing (for someone else) gives the item to the quest NPC, then the person who is intended to recieve the item gives the NPC the rest of the components and gets the item. (Whoever turns in the last piece gets the final reward...). Not all nodrop quest items can be MQed tho, seeing as the other components are probably difficult to come buy, do your research before giving it a shot...
