If you get Identify cast on yourself while holding an item with a faction modifier, you get two lines of text. The first is the item lore, and the second (and higher) is the faction information.

Here is what I get for this item:

[Sat Apr 16 01:12:53 2011] You begin casting Identify.
[Sat Apr 16 01:12:53 2011] Your Silvery Mask begins to glow.
[Sat Apr 16 01:12:55 2011] Item Lore: Figurines for grownups, unlike dolls....
[Sat Apr 16 01:12:55 2011] This item gives positive faction to Orcakar Players.

Also, the item information in the item description says the following:

===
Item information:

An ornately decorated Orcakar figurine.
This particular model is a prized collector's item

===

And the item has a Lore tab that says:

===

Whether I have this item equipped on my character or not, my faction con is Indifferent with all of the Orcakar playing vendors around the table. (While I'm not invisible.) Perhaps having it Placed at a house does something with the faction too?

Note that all the NPCs playing Orcakar in the neighbourhood zone appear have this item equipped in one of their hands. Hmm. Perhaps we can finally find a way to play Orcakar with the NPCs ...

Also, if I ask Claire Nybright about Orcakar while she is playing at the table, whether or not I have the item equipped in primary:

[Mon Apr 18 00:43:00 2011] You say, 'can I please play orcakar?'
[Mon Apr 18 00:43:00 2011] Claire Nybright says 'A game of Orcakar you say? Don't you just find it wonderfully fun to play?' She pauses and smirks before continuing sarcastically, 'Oh, right. Outsiders don't get to play!' She snickers and returns her focus to the game.'

Finally, left-clicking various spots/items on the table in front of the players gives these various responses:

===

[Mon Apr 18 00:43:27 2011] The unarmored Wereorc in front of Garik stands between the grey portal and rest of the board. Perhaps this means that moving your piece from one location to another entails defeating or circumventing the other players.
[Mon Apr 18 00:43:28 2011] The unarmored Wereorc belonging to Darix appears to be piece furthest away from where its owner is sitting. Perhaps choosing your location on the table as well as progressing across the board are intertwined ideas.
[Mon Apr 18 00:43:40 2011] The armored Wereorc in front of Indy is standing between two small plots. It is interesting that there are only three plots on the table. You assume this means that they are not connected to the number of players, but instead house resources that the players must try and collect.
[Mon Apr 18 00:43:55 2011] You survey the small cloth figurine that is placed on the edge of the blue portal. Rathgar appears to deeply focused on the position of the pieces on the board. It appears as if a key to victory in this game is correctly positioning the bear, the idol and the firepot.
[Mon Apr 18 00:44:05 2011] You notice a key difference between the Wereorcs in front of Indy and Rathgar in contrast to those in front of Darix and Garik. Perhaps collecting a sword and shield for your Orc is part of this game's strategy...

===

If you hang around the players, you hear them say comments as they play the game:

[Sun Jan 16 22:46:49 2011] Indy laughs and moves a green figurine from the blue portal to his plot. He looks up to his friends at the table, 'Dere! Three points!'

[Sun Jan 16 23:19:49 2011] Darix D`Unnar stares at the board carefully before moving a small figurine from a plot to under a tree, he seems to be the only one his group focusing this intently. He begins to murmur, 'That blasted 'firepot', always ruining my turn. The wretchedness of life follows me into this board game!'

Some of their comments are preludes to other quests and tasks, if you talk to the NPC saying the words, even if there are no [bracket prompts].

There are others I will need to hunt for in my logs.

after much help from a guildie, here ya are.

Short guide:

- say "claire" to a drunkard

- to kayla i think it is (the one who stands out front), say "claire" and then "mayla"

- after mayla, three will attack, kill three sisters.

- Hail the fourth and then head to claire. (dont kill her, not sure if it makes a difference or not though)

- say "tandan" and/or "i killed your sisters" to her, followed with "are you mayla?"

bam. there ya go. the step i missed was hailing that 4th sister.

if you did it right, claire will say something about knowing who she is.
here ya are

...and here is how I got it (with guidance from my friend Treeflower.

It is semi-related to some old quests called WINO and BANDIT SISTERS related to "a drunkard" in Kelethin. These both are old school quests, so they REALLY are quests... no task window.

I am unsure of what steps are actually required, but I can say for sure that the final step does NOT work. I had a freidn try it starting with the sisters in Lesser feydark, and that didn't work either. So... here is what I did...

1) Felwithe

You say, 'Hail, Tynkale'

Tynkale says 'Hail noble, ______! Can you be of [service to the Clerics of Tunare] or are you not from our order?'

You say, 'I can be of service to the Clerics of Tunare.'

Tynkale says 'That is good. Prove yourself, then. Are you [new to Felwithe] or have I been conversing with a [veteran of the good fight]?'

You say, 'I am new to Felwithe.'

Tynkale says 'Then stand at attention when I speak. I want you to venture to Kelethin and seek out Tandan Nybright. He is an old member of ours. He had some hardships and he fell from Tunare's grace, yet he is still a member of our family. He will be the one who reeks of elven wine. Greet him by name. We are worried for him.'

2) Purchased an Elven Wine (got mine in Crescet Reach)

3) KELETHIN

(Hand a drunkard Elven Wine.)

a drunkard says 'Oh.. .. Thank you!! Oh, what has become of me?! Look at me!! I was great once. I wish I never had that shocking experience.'

You say, 'Hail Tandan Nybright'

a drunkard says 'How did you know my name? You must be from Felwithe. .. Excuse my condition. I am not the man I once was. I have had a [shocking experience].'

You say, 'What shocking experience?'

a drunkard says 'My daughters have become bloodthirsty bandits. They went off to visit Antonica and when they returned, they became bandits. They now attack every poor traveler who happens upon them. They have disgraced the name of Nybright. Will you [hunt the Nybright Sisters] or is this not to your liking?'

You say, 'I will hunt the Nybright Sisters.'

a drunkard says 'I am most thankful. Many adventurers would not help me with this matter. Go and seek out the Nybright sisters. I gave each of the four a personalized necklace. Return them all to me when the deeds are done. May the Tribunal watch over you.'

NOTE: The necklaces are for the old school quest. You don't need them as you do not need to come back.

4) LESSER FEYDARK

You say, Hail Kayla Nybright.

(No response.)

You say, 'Who is Claire Nybright?"

Kayla Nybright grits her teeth, 'Claire? I have no idea who you are talking about. there are only four of us! Our father...' She interrupts herself to spit and curse his name, '...would have never named one of us Claire anyway!'

You say, 'Who is Mayla Nybright?'

Kayla Nybright says, Curse your tongue fool! Sisters, help!'

(Kayla Nybright, Jayla Nybright and Tayla Nybright attack you. Kill them.)

(The blood of a Nybright sister is now on your hands.)

You say, 'Hail, Shayla Nybright.'

(No response.)

5) Sunrise Hills

(Claire Nybright on target)

You say, 'Who is Tandan Nybright?'

Claire Nybright hangs her head down, tears welling in her eyes, 'Please, don't bring back these memories. I can't live that life anymore. I am Claire!'

You say, "Are you Mayla Nybright?"

Claire Nybright quickly digs through her pockets and pulls out a small figurine. She glares at you, using all of her willpower to hold back tears, 'Take this, just please, do not speak of my sisters or father anymore. You have no idea what it was like, what happened to my... Mother...'

(You recieve Armored Orcakar Figurine)
