As you mentioned monk bard pull teams, no dear lord no. It would be great but the only problem with that is the buggyness of highsung - can be resisted (a LOT) and a lot of the time FM from a long way away after highsung the mob will forget about u but continue to run towards area that iti was gated from - bringign lots of friends - good tactic but doesnt work anymore, if it ever did.
We used it against Rallos Zek. Monk pulled him and all his friends. Then three bards using Harmony of Sound and Highsun with flute equiped sent a few of them back home. They didn't come back. I've never had mobs come back after a fade, so I don't know what kind of bug you're talking about.
Magelo lists this mask as usable by PAL SHD RNG BRD BST now, so guess it got nerfed. Dunno if it still has its Singing Modifier either. All other stats are the same though.
It is now usable by all Hybrids. It was originally Bard only, but they added other hybrids a while back. A good idea, IMO, since it would have started rotting on alot of servers. Unfortunately, there are tons of high end masks in PoP.
Good god, yea for all you non bard players... dont say mana for bards doesnt matter... The best *imo* soloing class (because of swarm kiting) Anyhow... to swarm kite (sK) you have to charm... therefor using mana... putting into consideration we can swarm kite 8 mobs (with insta click invis item) in about 10 min and use about 20 to 40 pct mana the whole kite... yes is VERY IMPORTANT... becing able to use 5 to 10 pct on 8 mobs in 10 to 20 minutes? good god thats around 5 to 8pct (pop exp) for 10 to 20 minues worth.... CAN YOU SAY: "Ding 64... *1 hour later* Ding 65!" (Ok maybe im a bit bias ;b )

At 65 you won't be swarm kiting so much. But you will want mana for Fading Memories. This AA ability is the bardic FD (removes you from all hate lists and invises) and uses 900 mana a shot. Combined with High Stun, which sends a mob back to it's bind point, it allows monk/bard teams to split where monks alone have a hard time.
The word "Singing" in the item window should mean that equipping this mask will give you a bonus to the appropriate songs... so my question is, would somebody do a few tests, and see just how much of an improvement you get to your songs by wearing this mask? Also, test to see if the singing bonus on this mask will stack with the singing bonus on other items, or if it simply defaults to the highest bonus and ignores the rest.
This would seem to fall in line with the instrument items. Obviously, there havent been any singing instruments prior to this but given the pattern this would seem to give the traditional instrument gain which if my brain serves me right is 40% or some such.
There are two items, Voice of the Serpent, and Shadowsong Cloak, that also affect Singing. The first uses the number 6, the latter the number 9. Whether is is a .6 and .9 mod (they stack with worn items, these are both clickable, but not with each other) or add 6 and 9 to your singing skill (respectively) or add 6% and 9% to your singing skill, who knows.... but they help. Too bad they don't stack with each other.
I have the Voice of the Serpant and it adds 60% (or .6). So with the epics 1.8 that's a 2.4 modifier to all voice songs. So Scream of Pain, which has a base damage of 66, does 158.
Finally, 3 years after creating this class, Sony recognizes that bard mana really DOES matter and FT3 starts showing up on a number of bard-only items. Almost makes you believe someday bards will get mana from their own mana songs!
