I recently purchased VoA and this was in my /claim window when I logged in for the first time after purchase.
Since it doesn't seem to state it elsewhere on this page, the banshee mercenary was a reward to those pre-ordered the House of Thule expansion.

What tier are the claimed mercenaries? Does something determine their tier?
Once you get the contract via the /claim command, put it in an inventory slot and right click it.
It will go away and you can now buy mercenaries from Hayda Ware.

I just tried this with my lvl 50 Troll Shaman and when I put Swinetor contract or Wailing contract in an upper inventory slot and right click it, it doesn't disappear. I even tried putting it in my ammo slot and right clicking and get the same result, doesn't disappear and Hadya Ware won't allow me to buy merc. As I was standing near her in PoK a level 90 player came up and tried to claim 1 of his mercs with her and got the same result. He was asking me where he needed to go to buy his and I explained that I was trying to figure out why she wouldn't sell me 1. I had dismissed my previous merc(barbarian melee) shortly before and checked a few times to make sure I didn't still have 1 and got the message that I "must own a mercenary to bring this window up". Kinda scratching my head....can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or if this is bugged. It's only been a few days since VoA expansion was released so trying to make sure I'm not the only 1 having these issues.

Same thing is happening to me. Before today's patch, it worked for another character on my account. This time it just makes pretty graphics but doesn't disappear or activate ability to hire merc.

Same thing for me, haven't tried before today, but right clicked it, spell casts, see a light show, reuse timer starts counting down, hail no responce, right click hayda merc window flashes up for a sec and I get the msg "You do not meet the requirements to purchase"...
What Requirements do I need to meet, wasted 1.6k plat to see if I needed to dismiss the merc I had to leave spot avail. didn't work..

This allows you to hire a banshee mercenary. I dont know if it is any different from other mercs aside from looks.
