# Jun 28 2004 at 5:20 AM Rating: Default
as a ranger my hands are kinda tied when underground when it comes to pacify/harmony of nature... i was wondering if this item was useable from an empty inventory slot,(i hope)cause if it is... i got to have it =p

#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 28 2004 at 12:33 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) or, dumbass, you could have looked up and saw the CLR listed next to the class. Sorry but those 3 letters dont translate to RNG and regardless you have to equip or not, sicne when can a class click an item that they cant even wear in the first place?

As correct as your information is, you would have done well to say so more politely. It is true, if your class can't wear it you can't click it, even from inventory. Personally I wish you could click from inside a bag... that would help us all a lot.

Actually his information IS NOT correct, there are quite a few items that are clickable from inventory, which can be used by classes other than the ones who can wear.

Once example is:

and there are quite a few others.

Save time using both bracer and spell

I just bought one of these for 2950 pp in the bazaar and am very happy with it.

The bracer may have a long casting time of 7 seconds, but it has no refresh-time, which helps a lot. I did some testing:

When you want to pacify two mobs in a LDoN, using the Spell twice will take you exactly 11.5 seconds from starting to cast the first till the second cast hits the mob. This is not counting the refresh after the second cast. This was with a spellhaste 2 item, taking the casttime from 3.0 to 2.5 and with Blessing of Faith buff on taking the cast down evenmore to 2.3 seconds.

Using the Bracer for these two mobs will take you around 14.5 seconds, which makes sense since the cast is 7 seconds without a refresh in between. Focusitems and Haste-buff do not affect the speed of the Bracer.

However, when you use the Spell first and then the Bracer, you come out on the fastest time, 10.3 seconds. When you need to pacify three mobs, the Bracer will come out faster, since a Spellcast+refresh takes 8.9 seconds alltogether(against the 7 seconds of the Bracer). When pacifying more then 2 mobs, the refresh-time seriously starts counting against your time spent casting. You have to take into account some extra time for targetting with the Bracer though, since you cannot re-target during the Bracer cast itself, while with the spell, you will aquire your new target during the refresh-time. The manacost of pacifying 3+ mobs can run pretty high though, especially since you have to re-apply pacify with every pull.

In LDoN, if you do not have a chanter and/or Ubergroup, efficient use of Pacify can make a lot of difference. Pacifying an entire room is not efficient, yet pacifying 1 mob may not be sufficient in many cases. Using the Bracer and spell you can pacify 2 mobs within 10.5 seconds with the cost of a single cast.

Here's hoping an item with right-click Pacification will make it into the game one day. ;)

"since you cannot re-target during the Bracer cast itself"

- btw .. you can retarget, but not with the mouse .. rotate a little bit so next critter is centered in front of you and use the 'U' key or the 'F8' key during the cast
- I retarget many times during fights so that as soon as item is done with cast, I am starting the gem cast on the next target.

- forgot to add .. 'U' is the Use key (which uses the item in front of you, like doors, merchants, etc) and 'F8' targets nearest NPC (but, now seems to target in front of you before it targets an NPC behind you if it is in range) ... obviously have to be careful with these so you dont target a friendly NPC by mistake, but will help with targeting while fighting multiple mobs

Mana-Free Pacify in LDoN? Yes Please!
# Oct 27 2003 at 7:38 PM Rating: Decent
I think with the advent of Lost Dungeons of Norrath, that a lot of the people below who were complaining about the "lame effect" on the Donal's bracer are now out looking for one, since mana-free pacify is the win now. Myself, I'm about to camp one for my 39 cleric. She can't use it just yet, but once she can, it'll be one of the better items she has in a LDoN group. The bracers that she wears are by far superior statwise to this item, but you better believe I'll swap it out for free pacify.

These like any most other class specific gear (Deepwater, Tolans, Jaundiced Bone, Singing Steel) is clicky usable at lvl45, but can be equiped at any lvl.

It'd be neat if VI put in a Quest that allowed
us to trade in two of these bracers for a better
one.

I solo alot and find this effect to be most beneficial when I need to break a room up plus it saves me a spell slot ) Not that bad a bracer for my needs.

hehe pacify Why not superior healing or wrath.
RE: umm could have thought of a better effect

? Pacify is one of the cleric's better spells but not one you always want to keep loaded, so this is a ncie effect for a bracer. And why not? Well, what does it matter...it is what it is. Why do people always complain about the features that an item doesn't have. "Why couldn't my boots have unlimited instant cast complete heals AND let me run 60% faster. What a jip." You are fools.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 01 2001 at 7:58 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ok why is a level 34 cleric postings stuff about seb. you know nothing. please post about 34ish stuff that way you don't sound so dumb
#Anonymous, Posted: May 14 2001 at 9:10 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Umm, yeah, level 34 clerics stop posting about this, because it's obvious you don't know how great an effect Pacify is, and how I pull uber stuff all the time using it. Wrath or healing on the bracer? Psssshhh, please, those spells are so useless, pacify rocks. Signed anonymous guy above's twin brother
