Tranquil Bloodtribe Hero

Anyone had any luck on getting this guy to spawn?
He drops the Mark that is the last part I need for this quest.
Have killed plenty of Bloodtribe Shaman and Warriors in SD (if other quests are anything to go by it's only the wanderers that will spawn named) but had little luck getting any named to pop.
Any Hints?
Nice tunic
# Feb 11 2003 at 11:04 AM Rating: Decent
This is a nice tunic, whatever people say. It is totally worth questing, especially if your hunting and the pieces drop. So its no Robe of the Lost Circle? Well guess what dude? Robe of the Lost Circle will be gone in a week once you get the pipes. :) Grey Flesh Tunic is better, yes. What about the person who can't afford a Grey Flesh Tunic? This is a great tunic.

So I can do this quest, or I can pay 650pp for an acrylia reinforced tunic in the bazaar with better stats (ok, I already paid that for it :)). Not much point unless you want to do the quest purely for the sake of doing it.
Iskar

Can an Iskar Monk do this quest?
RE: Iskar
# Jan 11 2003 at 10:32 AM Rating: Decent
Yes, Iksar CAN do this quest, I dont know if you have to sneak behind the woman on element island, but I would just in case...

Well i must say, a tunic with that much ac and hp bonus is darn right good for a monk. Plus there are other stats on it, so dont get me wrong, i'd choose this over about anything.... excpet Fungi (a given)
RE: rox0rs
# Oct 15 2002 at 2:06 PM Rating: Excellent
Black Panther Tunic is better than this, and so is the RotLC, just to name a couple. Just and FYI

Neonghost your a stupid idiot, black pantherskin may be better but guess what. Black pantherskin is very expensive and some people cant afford it. This is a great tunic if you monk is your first char or if you have been playing for a long time and dont want to just twink yourself in bazaar. btw the game is called everQUEST not everBUY so let people quest and shut the **** up

I know that the marks and the gems are droppable items. Does anyone know about the Sharpened Rockhopper claws and the etched steel shavings?

All the quest items I have come across are droppable.

#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 13 2002 at 9:15 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Not really all that impressed with the Steel Threaded Tunic. Of course, I'm wearing the Robe of the Lost Circle at the moment which is even better than a Grey Flesh Tunic or even Shiverback Hide Jerkin.
RE: Not impressed
# Apr 03 2002 at 4:56 PM Rating: Excellent
RoTLC will be gone for you soon if you continue with your epic. And yeah, Black pantherskin is nice, unfortunately that is 4k or a lot more time than this down the drain. Personally, I already have the etched steel shavings and a cloud jewel (for pants) from when I was hunting for exp in dawnshroud, and will most likely get the rest if I keep moving around and do not get lazy or stop looking. These quests were not made for people who farm, they were made for people in the appropriate level range. You will find it a lot harder to pick up these items if you are not the right level simply because you wont have enough patience and/or strength to handle the areas (wolves in DS will be adds constantly when fighting Stonegrabbers for example).
I know I will get flamed with abunch of people talking about how uber their lvl 60 (insert class here) is and that wolves and stonegrabbers are woosies, but i just wanted to throw out my 2 cents.

I agree =)
Look at the alternatives
# Feb 13 2002 at 9:03 AM Rating: Excellent
There are two chest items that are in the quality range of this item: The Grey Flesh Tunic and the Acrylia Reinforced Tunic.

Grey Flesh Tunic: 16ac 5str 5sta 5agi 5dex 45hp 0.8wt

Acrylia Reinforced Tunic: 14ac 10str 10sta 6wis 0.7wt

Now granted this item isn't as good as these two, but when you're a monk in your mid-40's and you just blew all your cash on a lovely new weapon it's nice you can quest for something like this for free. The GFT goes for about 6k while the ART goes for at least 4k.

I say gather as many pieces of this quest armor as you can so you can save your money for weapons or maybe even a fungi.

Netted Kelp Tunic - AC 13/STR 5/STA 10/INT 10/SVF 20 or something like that ... weight 1.0 ... And it's all/all.

#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 03 2002 at 4:59 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) yeah sure......pay 7 - 10k for Netted Kelp...genius. considering 10 int is SO useful for monks......
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 17 2002 at 11:47 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Dude, you're a dork. Consider the OTHER stats on the Netted Kelp Tunic before you add your two 2cp. Netted Kelp is SWEET monkey armor (I know firsthand as I actually HAVE one), and the 7-10k price quote is about as bad a PC as you can get...
Hrmm..
# Feb 13 2002 at 7:08 AM Rating: Excellent
I agree with The Friar on that point. If you were hunting there anyway, and just happened to get the quest drops, go for it.. It's free, right?

Personally, if I'm not wearing Fungi, I'm wearing a Grey Flesh Tunic. Would much prefer that, over this Gi. Grey Flesh cost me about 3k, has identical stats to RoTLC, except for 1 more
AC, .3 more Wt., and about 25HP less... Maybe someday when my weight cap goes up, I'll start using that PSC that's in the bank, getting dusty:)
better
# Feb 13 2002 at 6:11 AM Rating: Decent
This robe seems to be better to me then the items a lot of other classes get for Twilight armor, which in general seems to be lacking for most classes.

Sure there are better things, but if you hunt in Luclin anyways and happen to come across some o the quest drops, it is definately a nice bonus eh?
Not bad for a Monk
# Feb 12 2002 at 9:24 PM Rating: Decent
As far as what I can find this is up there for a Monk. My lvl 40 Monk only has a 12AC +3STR chest item. Finding anyone to make Acrylica items is next to impossible, at least on my server. So even the chance to get a 14AC robe with much better stat bonuses is something to look forward too.

Epic items aside, which I won't be able to get till atleast 45 either.
RE: Not bad for a Monk
# Sep 27 2002 at 6:31 PM Rating: Decent
I'm a 52 monk with that same chest item (Foreman's Tunic). Dont feel bad..
Kinda Lame
# Feb 12 2002 at 8:40 PM Rating: Decent
I have to agree with the multi posts below, this is kinda lame for a quest item. It is a fair amount of work to quest for the items required to make this and for what? You can buy something better than this by the time you reach the level needed to get the components....
RE: Kinda Lame
# Feb 13 2002 at 6:13 AM Rating: Decent
I agree this quest is a huge waste of time. By the level you need to be to do this and the time it takes to do this, you can be working on/have Robe of the Lost circle which is needed for epic anyways, and better stats, 15ac 5str 5sta 5agi 5dex 50hp 0.5 weight, only thing you're losing is 3str, trust me, don't do this useless quest.
RE: Kinda Lame
# Feb 12 2002 at 11:22 PM Rating: Decent
Care to give some examples?

How about comparing it to Monk's Planar drops, eh?

I think it stands up pretty well.
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 12 2002 at 9:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) umm well personally i havent seen many better robes than 14 ac and u str, which i would love me my monk, (lvl 20 quit him cuz monks suck and are boring)
RE: Kinda Lame
# Sep 27 2002 at 6:36 PM Rating: Decent
this is coming from a guy with a char name of CoolKid and and Allakhazam name of sportzboy. Riiiight....
RE: Kinda Lame
# Feb 21 2002 at 5:29 PM Rating: Decent
1. Monks dont suck, by an standards
2. i dont care what class you play, a monk will outlive you
3. only rogues can do more melee damage than monks, and never solo.
4. /agree about the gi, its pretty sweet
RE: Kinda Lame
# Jun 17 2002 at 11:53 PM Rating: Default
Rouges are only able to outdamage us monks from behind (i.e., a 'lil thing called Back Stab). Try dueling one. They don't live very long...
Tips her hat in respect to her rouge buddies (I'll group with a good Blackguard any day of the week =-D ).
