Just got the Black Voidsoul from this orc. And they are snarable/rootable.
It drops of the giants but not all. For sure it drops off of the first "a clan Vorzek vanquisher" at the entrance to the gorge leading to the giant camp. Around loc +530,+1215. It may take 3 or 4 PHs but it drops from this particular PH regularly.

So that ph you gave the location for is a clan Vorzek vanquisher?
