Yes yes yes, there is undoubtedly better gear than this. Why the slagging of these quests? Not everyone is Uber and has lotsa K to drop on gear. All this gear for every class has stats that compliment each class. Some pieces are better than others relative to other gear. But hey, those days I'm bored, frustrated with groups etc. I'm gonna hunt some drops and twink my new little monky with this stuff. Sometimes we all need a break from the exp grind, and some of us enjoy questing. I do agree tho that the lvl required to get these drops is a bit high, even if this stuff is an upgrade, it probably wont be for long. Do you think these quests were intended for twinking new chars?? ;) GL

I'm not going to bother with this quest. Footpads of the tiger better in my opinion. Now the Stell Threaded Gi.....THAT's a different story =)
Although I have better...

...I'm gonna wear these if I get them. I currently use Shimmering Terror-Hide Boots (10ac 4str 4agi 4dex 2svm 2svf 2svc 2wt) but I would use the Steel Threaded footwear over them just because I actually quested for them and, dammit, I'm gonna wear them. I wanna get a full suit of this stuff.

Not to mention the fact that they are much lighter and I can sell the boots for a good 2k and put that cash towards better weapons.
Although...

Although the stats on this stuff isn't all that great, I do believe the monk Twilight armor is better than most of the other class' comparatively. From what Ive seen of the other stuff, 90% of the people who could get it would already have better. As for monks, however, the non-twinks out there are usually badly equipped due to the weight limit. Ive seen level 50+ monks still running around in Crystal Covered Shrouds and the like. Many of those people Im sure would like to have something like this.

I'm a 52 monk and still use a Foremans tunic.. sigh. =\
Kinda disappointing, but not so bad

There are a lot of dropped and tailored boots for monk that are superior to this as well, and due to deflation of market are quite cheap, but hardly any quested boots for monk that are better.Iksar hide, shimmering terror hide especially for dropped gear, since they have gone way down in value recently. However, for quests...The velious quests are the only ones that compare, 7ac thurg 10 ac kael and ?? ac skyshrine boots, with similar stats but with a decent proc(atk buff, firefist), but much harder to get considering. Personally, I think the twilight quests, if you include deflation of the market, are, with a few notable exceptions, not worth the time and effort it would take. A lot of players will have better at the levels(mid 40s, usually) they can do these quests, some won't, but there is a lot of good stuff out there for sale, and at reasonable prices too, even if your ghetto. As for not buying the equip question, since all the components are droppable for these quests, probably a lot of people will end up having to pay for the components, which could be a lot if they are for one of the better pieces of the armor. I have to agree on the sense of accomplishment part though, my monk did the rotlc and shackle of steel quests mainly by himself, and it felt very gratifying, esp. shackle since I really had to go through hell for that, got pretty lucky with raster and targin for rotlc tho.
Disappointing

Black Pantherskin Boots, Acrylia Reinforced Boots, Acrylia Studded Boots, and Velium Hound Fur Moccasins are all better tailored footwear than these difficult quested sandles; albeit the last only barely.

Not for someone who can't afford the overhead for such tailored items. Quest like these give those of limited means decent items to get. I would also add that doing quests, though sometimes time consuming, gives a good sense of accomplishment.

Sincerely,
Sir Vinmana De'Nova,
Lord Chancellor of the Round Table.

100% agree with you there vinman boosted ur rating alot too :P for those who can't afford to go out and buy all their equip question is a good substitute to get decent items. as an iksar shadow knight i am quite lucky to have so many things available as such...dreadscale armor, the khukri weapon series, etc etc....always a sense of accomplishment after finishing each quest
