Just FYI - you can see the colour of items on Lucy. It also tells you the style of an item. So for this one it is:-
Appearance: Shining Metallic Robes.
Color (RGB): 95, 55, 155
RE: RGB color combination ?
# Jul 18 2003 at 7:25 PM Rating: Decent
Red 95
Green 55
Blue 155

Also, to note, it appears this robe is lighter colored now than originally. Still pinkish, just lighter.

Using Links, as this post would be way to large.
Robe of Secrets (Best IMO) https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=12418
Sal'Varae's Robe of Darkness (Illia's Choice)
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=6402
Koadic's Robe of Heightened Focus
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=11701
Vest of Phoenix Feathers
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=18825
Robe of Luring Shadows
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=13005
As always, this is just my opinion (Which does not count for much). Illia's pick of robes is obtained much easier than my choice. But as an End Game robe, Robe of Secrets would most definately be my choice.

of course those robes are great but what about...

Sanguine Robe - https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=12966

Not to mention that robe of secrets is not the best robe as ur losing extra mana regen that u could get from the koadic robe while u can get FT in other slots increasing ur mana regen by alot, yet if u REALLY wanna talk about the best rove i would go with sanguine robe or HELLO elemental silk robe
~not trying to flame just adding a few to ur list, i also agree of course that this robe is definiteley not on the same lvl as these and easily attainable with 3-5 groups. maybe less if u have all 65's not really sure ive only done with 4~

I tend to agree with the Robe of Secrets. It's what I'd like to have, as well.

But for people that aren't Emperor, Vex Thal, or PoAir flagged/keyed, this is one of the best robes in the game.

The raid force and timesink required for Rumblecrush is a lot less than the other zones.

Not a flame, just putting things in perspective. If my guild were capable of Emperor, VT and PoAir, I'd pass on this robe in hopes of getting the others. But by the same token, a guild capable of those zones would most likely not bother with Rumblecrush.

Edit: Funny when you look back on old posts. I'm now in a guild that's in Elementals and Vex Thal lol. And we never bother with Rumblecrush if he's up. We kite him away from VT zonein while everyone zones in, because a lot of his stuff would probably rot or just go to twinks. Still no new robe though *grumble*

Mindless flaming and useless information. I love it. Now as far as the useful stuff goes, I have missed all my guild killings of RC, but he is NOT a mob you take down with a group of mid-50s. Maybe you have him confused with another mob? Most of the big named mobs in here (Doomshade, Zelnithak, Rumblecrush) require heavy healing, a defensive tank or two (depending on length of fight) and a lot of DPS.

Like I said, I haven't been to a Rumblecrush fight, but take Doomshade, for instance. Very long fight. Guild force of about 24 people. I think 3 wizards, a couple mages, rogues, rangers, I managed to use up all my mana with about 10% health left on him.

Not something you do with one group of anything, unless you're all 65 with every AA skill and drops off Solusek Ro that make you invincible and like sprout wings and do a little jig or something. Umm where was I...

Oh yeah... not an easy fight. I'm not sure on real info 100%, but I know he does require raid-like force. My guild is all 58+ and we had at least 3 groups present at the time.

#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 14 2002 at 3:43 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I dont know what most of the people down below are talking about.. Ive lived in Umbral Plains for a while now.. Killing tons of named mobs.. Rumbled was killed today on my server from one of our guilds.. question I have is this.. Why did a NECRO GET THIS ROBE!!!! This robe and possibly two other items off of Rumblecrush are pretty much all I need, to call it quits in Umbral plains forgood! and some silly necro gets the robe.. =( makes me sad.. (chanters who were present, already had SS robes. the robe was passed to a necro) This is end game chanter gear.

50 hit points and 15 stamina means more hit points for your necro. More hit points means more mana since they Lich. Ever grouped or raided with a full spell book level 60 Necro? Life Burn and Funeral Pyre? This is an EXCELLENT robe for NECROS and CHANTERS. Oh and I am an enchanter and would not be mad at the Necros that have rolled against me or will roll against me. Now if you are talking about the Belt of Scinitialtion that is a WHOLE other story!

If this was a substancial upgrade to the necromancer, you should be happy for him/her. Its silly to be upset just because it went to a necro, I can see if the necro already had an SS robe or something, but come on, think of someone else. This robe is spectacular for all casters, and there are much better out there for "all" casters as well.

Umm, no there is not. This robe is almost at the top of the list sorted by AC & HP. There is a serious drop off below this.
Toss in +15 sta, int, cha, MR. Heck tack on +10 to the rest of your saves. A little direct mana....

Not to mention two of the 4 - 5 robes above it are Uber guild only.

Look at the robe. all int casters! that means that all int casters should get it! they added cha to make it more appealing to chanters...50hp and sta for a necro..etc...this robe has good stats for all int casters! To pity we got wiped when we tried rumble last time :(

Looks like you where the chanter that missed out on the robe. Calamitys End is by no means the "end game" robe for chanters. Quit whining and go to Katta with the guild and get the +100 charisma robe, that is what you need. This makes a great necro robe ( int 15, hp 50, sta 15) and good resists). Hp is our food and any necro worth their grain in salt will go for HP items.

Robe of Dark Beguilement
+18 AC +15 Str +15 Int +100 Cha +4.00 Wt

You are right, this is the end game for chanters. Drop all that other cha crap and focus on resists/hp. After seeing this I wanna make a human chanter and not put any bonus points in int/cha =)
Yup you heard right, crappy chanter stats. Hehe, I know I can twink it well enough to do till I get it into the highend game.

Not sure why I'd want the robe of Dark Beguilement over Calamity's end.. I'd take Calamity's end.. my enchanter has 300 cha already with the hate robe.. why would i want 400 cha?

NOt the best robe, but a very nice robe nonetheless

No HP, no resists, and ALOT less AC than I can get in many other robes.

No, Calamity's End isn't the end-all-be-all robe for any caster in the game, but it's a nice robe, and it looks nice. Charisma does almost nothing for the enchanter (or any other class), and most certainly is easy enough to raise entirely by accident. (especially for anyone who can get this robe).

Best endgame robes? Sal'Vars Robe of Darkness, and the robe from the burrower.

Ok you GOT to be kidding me... charisma does almost nothing for chanters?!?! Hello does mes mean anything to you... no that means nothing to chanters doesnt it?

*chuckles* Charisma affects spells/songs that deal with altering ones mind... meaning Mesmerization and charm spells. The higher the charisma the less likely they will get resisted. This has to do with all mesmerize and charm spells/songs. Therefore charisma IS a desireable trait for some classes especially chanters!

having 200CHA over 100CHA gives you a 2% benifit on charm / mez spells. repeat after me - CHA IS USELESS

I notice a definate difference between 250 cha and 255 cha when i am solo charming. Cha matters right to the max.

You're exactly right. Now name ONE end-game mob which can be mezzed or charmed at all.
RE: Rumble..
# Jul 10 2002 at 7:26 PM Rating: Default
Cha is next to useless. Charisma's only notice able effect are 1 when shoping wish maxxes at about 144cha, and 2 when casting charm, the duration is efected by the charisma of the caster. Get that right THE DURATION of the charm is effected by charisma since all high level charm spells have a def max duration an Dire charm has no duration restriction to worry about i would say NO an enchanter does not need a charisma about 150 including buffs. since you get a +50 or so cha buff as an enchanter you barly need 100 cha from stats and gear. trying to gain more charisma at the expense of not making it to your INT cap or having less hp/mana for Cha is waistfull if not moronic. Just because they put lots of charisma on enchanter gear doesnt mean we need it, just look at the iksar shadownight armor with +wisdom bracers.... useless stats are on everyones equipment. Young enchanters out there take a word of advice and base your stats in this priority, first INT, then HP/sta, MANA, AC/agi/dex, Resists gear (optional stuff is good to switch in), CHA&STR, and wisdom last cause we dont need it at all. I rated resist gear low because this is a general statement in the high end game resist gear becomes more importants that everthing but INT.

Rumblecrush is now slightly more difficult than Vindicator. His regen and hp are amazing, bring lots of melee, or you won't be able to keep up.
RE: Difficulty
# Feb 12 2002 at 7:49 PM Rating: Decent
He's 60 or more but an easy kill, did it with one full 55+ group. MT was a 60 sk and the cleric never healed him. Resorted to nuking to pass the time =) Hardest part about Rumblecrush (unless he was changed recently) is his guards. They are about 3 times the fight he is.
RE: Difficulty
# Sep 06 2002 at 10:32 PM Rating: Decent
This is complete BS it isn't a fact that will help people, anyone trying to take this guy down with 1 group is insane even if they are all mana burners. This mob does 1k dps for those who don't know what dps means, its damage per second. assuming this sk was top of the line Vex thal ssra equiped he'd last 7 sec. max. YOU NEED A 60 WARRIOR, i'd recommend 4 just in case you need over 35 people on avg (i know some who could maybe do it with 25) and you need to get him slowed FAST, if possible slow him on the way (shm ench pull) if not you better slow him fast and start heals Fast and CH rotation before he even gets to camp. If this help clarify difficulty i was in a raid that took down the moose and doom easy but wiped 2 times on rumble. We then went and killed telk and vindi HE IS NOT EASY. Certainly has great loot though so GL on anyone who attempts him 8)

What plannet do you live on Manez?!!?

MT never healed??? one group of 55+????

Rumblecrush is a hardcore melee mob, no chance on earth you did that. He rampages like hell. plz dont post that rubish... some ppl actualy come here for info.

Rumblecrush need a semi high raid force (35) of 55+, with a MT cleric rotation and ghetto healers to heal when switching MT... If you dont get a shammy slow in on rumblecrush with in the first 30secs of battle its a wipe.

Whereas 50+ people aren't the only ones looking at this site, when you're looking at drops from a monster that is level 60 or higher, it doesn't make much sense to say... "My level 13 Bard just couldn't take this guy down."
That type of information doesn't help. Knowing this is an easy fight for a group of 55's is very valuable information, as is the information about the guards. I wish more people would post useful information like this instead of complaints about other people's posts (which admittedly this is.) Thanks for your time.

There's nothing wrong with folks providing a difficulty report, when they are in fact of appropriate level to take on the MoB in question. In this particular case the question was asked by a 57, and answered appropriately.

Someone who was level 25 would probably not be able to give you an accurate report of this encounter. This poster can.

When a lvl60 tells you how easy it is to whack Lord Pickclaw or something - then you have a beef.
