Camped him for a couple months, found him up on the week of 2/23/2015. He was holding the Hategiver and I was shocked. I logged my druid and ran my war over and by time I had gotten there, someone came in and had farmed him. The person had seen my war in zone and ooc'd to me that it had dropped. Ran the war up and looted in bewilderment. Long story short, this was a long camp. Still waiting on a Bloodfrenzy.

any caster can take aggro off a warrior, dont really know why you would want it though, best aggro getting class in the game if they want it is a shaman with Time's Anthesis, since theres no re-cast time if mob hits too high ur dead pretty damn quikc

dont flame me it is dropable there as nothing is no-drop
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 02 2004 at 8:33 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) yeah ive heard from one of my friends who jumped on there that alot of people got uber weapons and stuff some how, he also said people are getting there epics...its all balogna if u ask me about this server waste of time...people are just teaming up with friends and killing each other to elevate on person and then when there all like 46-50 the go and and raid sumtin big just to see how juke they can get in like 1 month.....and i didnt hear about no nodrop thing lol so that means u might see lvl 1 with epic lol thatd be crazy...but a RL friend of mine said that someon gave the priest of discord the wars epic then a guild raided it...and it dropped for like a lvl 34...his chars name is xargus ask him about it...
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 02 2004 at 3:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Actually there is a server that does have no no-drop tags. Its called Ferriona Vie or something can't spell it worth hell...but everything is droppable.

Epics, PoTime, and LDoN Buyable gear is nodrop on FV, pretty much everything else is droppable though

The only items that are No Drop on FV are Epics, certain quest pieces for Epics, and items provided by GMs for temporary use.

ldon gear -- buyable and augments are droppable. potime gear is also droppable, someone was selling a dodistraction for 1.4 mill last week (transfer from stormhammer.)

Wrong. Transfers to and from FV were at one time not allowed. That, however, was a long time ago. Things have changed. We get items from stormhammer all the time, and characters from many servers have arrived here over the past, what?, year or so.

actually i just looked at it and it says raises.
RE: update
# Mar 22 2004 at 4:06 AM Rating: Default
Raises your hate, so they hate you more. Lowers you on the agro list, getting you closer to being agro #1
Effect.
# May 15 2002 at 4:46 PM Rating: Decent

Here is what confuses me. The effect is writen as "Lower you on your target's hate list by 700pts" This is stated on both Alakhazams and Eqmaps. Now in reading the posts here I keep hearing about "Its give the wielder 700pts of agro on its target" Wouldnt this be exactly the opposite of what the weapon is intended to do?

RE: Effect.
# May 15 2002 at 5:25 PM Rating: Excellent
i believe its been reworded in eqcaster to say raised, but the original logic was that you were lowered...meaning you would go from say #2 on its aggro to #1 =P
RE: Effect.
# Aug 09 2002 at 3:27 AM Rating: Decent
OK, look at what class can use the sword: WARRIOR ONLY. Now, what does that tell you... Warriors are TANKS they WANT AGGRO, thus the proc on this weap makes the mob hate the warrior wielding it more... the mob wants to kill the warrior more.

Think about it this way, when this weap procs, its like the warrior moons the mob or gives it the muddle finger, so it turns its attention more or fully to the warrior. = P
Warrior Epic
# May 07 2002 at 3:22 PM Rating: Decent
Wow, didn't know warrior epic had such a large hate factor... Although Hategiver/Blade of Carnage are 700 vs 500.. its still quite a lot considering it is much easier to come buy.

I actually never read up on warrior epic proc before, but that certainly explains why it gives such great agro.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 13 2004 at 12:45 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Bloodfrenzy+hategiver=own BoC+war epic, of course thats a known factor if you have been playing awhile,,,BoC=awesome lvl 1 wpn with no lvl rec of course, you wont proc but who cares.
RE: Warrior Epic
# Mar 24 2004 at 5:29 PM Rating: Default
BoC will proc at lvL 1.

Made a new warrior and put Helmet of RZ, Velium encrusted steins, boots of storm, BoC from my lvl 65 warrior. Added Iksar BP and Lodi belt for regen plus some lessor tweek items (like 65hp rings).

Was able to get upto lvl 30 very fast, before I lost interest and augmented them so couldn't take of lvl 65 warrior.

Bad news about the warrior epic is that its sooo damn slow for a primary... I mean 24 delay in the primary wtf. If verant really wanted to make it taunt they would've given it decent delay at least on the primary sword. Kinda messed up that a warrior with his epic needs to rely on a proc to keep taunt imho.
RE: Warrior Epic
# May 15 2002 at 7:53 PM Rating: Good
Warriors have never been the best at keeping Taunt...Monks can do a better job, as can Rangers, and any casters can out-Taunt melees if they are stupid enough. It is just the simple fact that smart Monks and smart Rangers allow the Warriors to keep the taunt so that they can, in turn, keep their lives.

Just one of the facts of EQ life /shrug

14/24 may be slow, but lets not forget about the proc. I mean 500pts of aggro, that's a lot. I'd like to know from a another warriors point of view who has his epic if he still has trouble keeping aggro from lets say if he's in a group with a monk who has his epic and a rogue who has thier epic to. I know that as a warrior I still have trouble keeping aggro to even with two procing weapons(check out my magelo profile) and the point of the warrior epic is for the warrior to keep aggro. I am still trying to get my epics despite the fact that there are better weapons out there like this weapon. And 24 may be slow but lets not forget that most warriors will have some kind of haste item wich will probably bring the delay down to 20.

Most of the posters about the warrior epic is right, it is too slow for primary and even with the proc it's still difficult to maintain aggro if a monk, rogue or ranger really wants aggro. In most cases if one of the mentioned classes wants to live they will control aggro on their own. The warrior epic just can't stack up with newer items considering the era it came out.

i tend to agree with you crazy. however, i'll point out one thing - even at the time it came out, it was inferior for keeping aggro. seb croaking dirk in primary STILL did a better job of making the mob hate you. and we aren't even going to get into the barbed scaled whip and moss covered twig, and WHY they were nerfed - they made aggro too easy.

Oh my goodness. Say a barb warrior wielding one of these and ohh my it is SO cool looking. A skull on the end of a stick. Might not sound like much but the look is PHAT. All high level guilds should get one for thier main and second tank for ALL raids. The ability to keep agro is SO vital in raids that this puppy is wanted by EVERY warrior I know. Rogues don't have to worry about a crit BS getting them agro anymore.

Overpowered? I think not. Creator isnt that hard for those who can kill other SoL boss mobs, which are ALL long fights. SoL seems to be based on stamina fights instead of brute force fights. Anybody can zerg a mob, but to maintain constant large scale dmg while keeping a tank alive through all that at LEAST deserves a weapon of this calibur, which by no means is overpowered.

This proc does 'nothing' besides add hate. It has no means of maintaining that aggro. The Sceptre of Destruction was easily obtained once you had the key... Creator requires a key... The fight is hard enough to justify this weapon, but its rare as hell as far as i can see. So far all ive seen is a bunch of monk loot drop.

Hopefully one of these will drop soon. Not sure if its better than SoD, but i can say with ease it would be a dynamic duo wielding SoD main, and Hategiver offhand.

The item is kind of overpowered. Xerkizh is a bit of a pushover, imho, not much harder than yelinak or tormax, just a long fight. Most guilds that can do ntov can probably pop him. I mean, he's not a moss snake, but really this is the type of item that we were probably expecting to find off the Cursed if anyone drops him.

Just so you know, the info on Warrior Epic says "lowers" you on hate list as well... Which does NOT lower you, it raises you.

And you cant just walk up cal kill the Creator slick. No guildless person will ever get this, no person in a weak guild will ever get this, FEW people in badass guilds will ever get this.

This is a taunting weapon to replace Sod's from Sleepers and provide an alternate source for these weapons other than NToV.

Also, Epic weapons QUOTE "define the clas", they are NOT the best, they are NOT badass, they are difining of the class that wields it. Warrior epic taunts, druid epic snares, enchanter epic buffs, cleric epic rezzes... GET IT !??!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Druid's epic cast a DoT? Thought my friend told me that. And in response to what someone said about the Wizard's epic, the proc on that stick is a damage absorbing shield. Can someone tell me what use that'll be to a wizard who doesn't get agro (no, I'm not talking about myself here)? Thanks.

Well, not to get too picky, but I am going to anyway. By your reasoning a Wizard epic should nuke. It doesn't though. Guess they didn't get them all right then.
RE: Pssst...
# Feb 11 2002 at 6:14 PM Rating: Decent
I for one am glad that wizzard epic does not nuke, and I think the damage absorbing buff that it does have is wonderful for them. Think for a second, epic effects are suposed to be/are better than any other spell of its kind than that class has. Druid epic dot is snare/dot for about 1700 in 3 minutes, necro is 1500+ snare for 1 minute... blah blah blah. Thats what druids and necros do, they dot. But, its a long cast time(10 seconds for druid epic about). If a wizard had an epic style nuke, say low resist magic based for 2k damage MANA FREE, that would make them simply overpowering. Thus, they get the next thing on their "most needed" list. A rune type spell. When my wizard friends get agro even when they're careful not to, their hp drops fast (wizard I am speaking of is level 54). The rune type buff on wizz epic is wonderful for them.
In conclusion, this is a pretty damn sweet weapon :-)
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 10 2002 at 3:10 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) you know I could be wrong.... but when I think of a spell specific to a wizzy (and druid) I think port or TL because wizzys MAIN use is to port
RE: Pssst...
# Feb 10 2002 at 6:57 PM Rating: Default
Just to let you know, the wizzy's main use is to nuke, just way to many players think that porting/translocating is primary. It ain't. If their main use was to port, they'd get their port spells quite a bit earlier then druids.
so what about epics

Just to Clarify a little:

When you think "Lowers" you on Hate list:
Imagine the guy number 7 on the mobs hatelist and then "lowered" to number 1 on that mobs hatelist.

This has the effect of actually making the mob hate you more! Lots of attacks/procs/spells have a certain hate-factor added in. By adding 700 points, you "lower" your number on the mobs hatelist... although when we think of ranks, we think of 1 as the highest (in this case, it's the other way around)

Every main-tanking uber warrior will want one of these puppies =)

This is Offically better than warrior epic, which has 14/24 and procs only 500 hate. (the other one kinda sux IMHO, since it's just a buff, not a taunt proc)
RE: Ha go away MAs, this has rogue all over it!
# Feb 09 2002 at 3:37 AM Rating: Excellent
Oddly the files use a strange convention (well, actually the text fellows screwed this one up). Lowering yourself by 700 actually is raising yourself on the hatelist. Jolt, for example, has the following effect "Lowers you on the target's hate list by -500". So, lowering by a negative amount does indeed lower you, while lowering by a positive amount raises you on the list. Silly but it makes this a really, really, really good taunting weapon likely.
RE: Ha go away MAs, this has rogue all over it!
# Feb 23 2002 at 8:47 AM Rating: Decent
Yeah the way the program that interprets the spdat file formats the info output is a little misleading on the whole hatelist effect thing. Just a case of poor wording, hopefully he will fix it in the next version
