With the new bazaar it is not so hard to find the pieces for twilight sea armor anymore, lots of people sell what they have there. Got greaves last night, though I am sorta dissapointed.. looks just like cleric hate armor. (hate armor rocks but I don't want it to look exactly the same!)
Bp,gauntlets, leggs, bracer, arms ,boots, helm is all you need for a sweet looking sort of plane of hate colored gear .Just fill in the other slots with uber equipment...P
Yeah, they may not be the best in the world, but they work, and were easy to get. Also I got great XP doing it and I had lots of fun. And nothing is better than that combination. But soon I'll get better (velious).
You dont need a powerful guild to get Jarsath legs do you? Heck my level 19 cleric twink has those and theyre better than these, was easy to bring him there to loot them ;) What a waste for the effort it takes to do these quests... just like most of the other twilight quests. clicked on these hoping for a nice item for my cleric to get but instead i see junk.
You seem to miss my point. These are TRADEABLE legs. I was saying that there are not many of those that are better than these, that don't require some powerful friends to get. I WEAR jarsath legs, that I looted at lvl 42 in Karnor's, while in a group. However, If I had been able to purchase a full set of this twilight armor, before I had better, I may have kept it, as i look like a mishmash of banded class armor, with a combo of jarsath, sebilite scale, giant scalemail sleeves, and a pair of the sol ro quest bracers (which look like gold plate).
I suspect that this armor will eventually be as plentiful as the current sol ro quest armor (probably more expensive, but not much)and many lvl 25 clerics will be able to buy it. Thats why I stressed its value as TRADEABLE legs. Not everyone wants to bring a low level character into Karnor's castle, and risk death (or annoying the people fighting there by training them) while trying to loot Jarsath.
Hmm, how did your level 19 cleric twink survive the run through Dreadlands if not for the assistance of a powerful guild or group of friends? Sorry, even for me at level 42, I panic whenever I run from the portal to the north wall without SoW, and still am cautious with SoW.
I think you are missing the point. The ac is no better than the Sol Ro quest armor, but these have 4wis, 10mana 3str and wt 3.0 Maybe not the best out there, but the only set of tradable legs I know of that are better are sebilite scale, and that is arguable, because they only have 3 better ac, and no mana.
If you can quest Kromrif legs, or get into Karnor's castle for Jarsath, either are slightly better, but not by any great amount, and also no drop. The point of these, as I see it, is to provide upgrades for those of us who are not in powerful guilds, and would be unable to obtain planes armor, or dragon drops.
Yes, I know there are higher ac tradable legs that a cleric can wear, but with no wis and mana and quite frankly, I'd prefer the stats to more ac.
