Banded w/ noob stats

Clearly disappointing stats for such a hard to create item, just a tad better than banded. In fact, you can sell one Humming Orb for more than you can sell the finished armor.

I make it for smithing practice and give it to my pet for the AC boost. With all 13 slots, its a +110 AC permabuff with some minor stats.

On further researching this combine, I'd like to observe that aside from the farmed components, the actual plat cost of this combine is actually lower than Banded. This combine takes metal rings which cost approximately 8g each to make. Banded takes metal sheets, which cost approximately 1pp each to make.

Secondly, its impossible to make a profit with this combine. The Swirling Shadow or Humming Orb individually are each more valuable than the completed armor. If you just sell your Humming Orb, you can easily get 200pp for it from someone desperate to increase their smithing skills, plus another 40pp for the 2 Swirling Shadows. The completed armor isnt work more than 20pp.

This requires going through a series of quests in Shar Vahl for a quest Anvil and Humming Mallet.

You then create a Humming Orb from

1 "wailing substance" from dire wolves (no drop)
1 "shrieking substance" from owlbears (no drop)
1 metal ring
the anvil and hammer

Then combine:
1 Humming Orb
2 Swirling Shadows (no rent)
1 medium banded bracer mold
1 water
the anvil and hammer

This is Not trivial at 245

Check www.eqtraders.com for details on quests.

Just FYI to all the folks reading this for info on where to find components I think he meant to say sonic wolf. Dire wolves are in Velious.

Ouch.

1) What does it look like and

2) Perhaps the level of triviality needs to be adjusted.

Actually, the idea of it is that it can be used to increase your skills. If they reduced the trivial that would eliminate any chance for most people to get to 250 smithing skill. I've gained 3 smithing skill points from it after about 60 hours of camping time.
