#rizenn, Posted: Jul 28 2003 at 12:39 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Actually you are wrong, FT2 does not stack with FT2. You can only have one from each (FT1, FT2, FT3 etc.).

Flowing Thought items do stack, even if they are the same. There is a total max of FT-15 on combined wearable items though.

Carden is correct. The flowing thoughts add to each other they are not like other effects.

One example: If you have five items with FT 2 or four items with FT 1,2,3,4. They give the same mana regen. Total of 10 FT in this example.

I thought the max addition was 18 FT but Carden is probably correct there too.

Add up all the FTs you have and that is your mana regen.

Just remember one rule, the little wizard should get all the FT items. :P

just an add on to this, FT15 is as high as you can go. While mental clearity would put you at 18, it doesnt coudnt against against your actual FT count. So be sure to stack up to 15 =)~

FT15 is the max. FT18 would be including Mental Clarity 3 (AA)
Which when combined with SD, PoT9, and C5, and then your familiar, and a mana regen Rune spell.... ahhh, sombody hand me a towel.

Maumau is completely correct in his last statement. it is very important that the Wizard gets all the FT items. Very, very important.

int-caster/SK?

What do you mean mostly good for int-caster/SK? I thought SK was a WIS-based, though I have never played one or researched SKs. So, I'm asking, what are SKs based in, WIS or INT? Sorry for having a dumb question, just kind of a strange class I think =)

SK's are INT based (as the parent caster class: necro) just like paladins are WIS based (parent caster class: cleric). My first character ever was a Pally and I thought put my points into STR and INT, being EQ niave. Learned quick. But that should be an answer to your question. And this item would be any INT based caster/hybrid's dream. FT2 rocks PERIOD!

I wouldn't know as far as the mechanics of EQ goes; I haven't played one. In general though, Shadow Knights are considered to be evil/fallen paladins, not a hybrid necromancer class. That would make them a divine/wisdom caster instead of an arcane/intelligence caster.

Umm no not quite...altho SK's are regarded as the opposite of Pallies, Pallies essentially take their spellcasting abilities from clerics. Shadowknights take theirs from Necromancers. They are called hybrid clases because they are just that...pallies = hybrid of warrior/cleric, and sk's = hybrid of warrior and necro.
Play a necro, talk to the npc's in guilds, you will see they share alot in common with necromancer's study of the dark arts, hence INT based, rather than a faith-based imploring of gods for their divine spellcasting, whcih'd be Wisdom.

My tuppence.

The Burrower is a rather fun fight. That being said, as a cleric, I see this more on the hands of an int caster or SK, as another poster said.

True, at this level in the game myself and most of my cleric comrades all have 255 wis, but I'm wearing 2 +10 wis rings already that help me keep the 255 wis in mana regen or resistance armor.

When sacrificing stats from one item for the effect on another item, you have to know how much you're willing to give up and weigh that along with "what's good for my guild?"

Its a nice ring, too bad its Lore! Doubled FT2 would be nice, eh? Do they stack? Anyways, if someone could post info about what it drops off of, that'll be great. As a druid, I don't like the +10 int with the +0wis, but, hey, can't have 'em all eh? This would be a great Intellegence Caster's ring, or SK, but prehaps a waste on other classes (not that it won't be nice, just int casters/SK could probably get more benifit). Hugs all!

Though your post is much more inteligent than the majority of loot favoritism for classes posts, you are in error on a minor account. Once you are part of a lv 60 guild that is capable of killing the burrower beast or any mob that drops items equivelent to the burrower beat, everyone there will have 255 wis if wis caster, or 255 int if int caster. Probably a good 20 or 30 points above that if not more. Items off monsters like this are awarded based on contribution to the guild or raid group -vs- what you have looted on guild raids. Not by weather it has more int or wis, or would be better for a certain class than another.
RE: Info anyone?
# Aug 18 2002 at 11:26 PM Rating: Default
Another thing missed is that the FT2 cannot stack with another FT2. You can have 1 of each numbe of FT. So two of these would wash. That is why there is a limit as to the number of FT a person can have- 1+2+3+4+5=15, which I think is the Max (there may be higher FT items out there, like 7, but not sure where or what).

At one point FT(X) item couldnt stack with another FT(X)item, this got changed in one of the patches (the same one that put a cap on FT) back when luclin was pretty new a person could have FT1+FT2+FT3+FT4+FT5+FT6+FT7=FT28 but SOE (or was it VI at the time?) but a well deserved cap on that. I would also like to point out that most guilds do NOT have all their int/wis casters hit their max int/wis cap when considering the AAs that let you get Int/Wis up to 355. Though ATT of your post you probably were right since having to do this with ALL lvl 60's (so a guild with GOOD gear(pre-pop)) and no wis/int cap AAs... just trying to clarify for other ppl looking at cool stuff in the future 8)

FYI. flowing thought items do stack, even if the same number. FT15 IS the highest u can get. you could combine FT5+FT5+FT5 and max it out, IF you were lucky enough/had enough merit to get all 3 of those items.
Info anyone?
