couple of new pics for the hammer
Possibly in the overthere
# Nov 20 2005 at 11:09 PM Rating: Decent
I zoned in from PoK and there was someone who was soloing the cliff golems. There were two corpses on the ground and I asked if I could loot. He said it was OK, and this was on one of them. Not sure if someone had planted it on there or not, but I definitely looted this off a cliff golem in the overthere

Rare is right. I have not had this drop after many, many kills.
He's not a wisdom caster
# Aug 11 2003 at 11:05 AM Rating: Decent
Ok, I know this is old, but if the guy is a necro, how come he able to use a non necro weapon? A group of four of us barely took him down today. (55, rogue, 55 paladin, 52 wizard, 50 bard, and yes, we all have very good gear).

When the hammer dropped, I thought, jeez, for as tougb as he was, not very good weapon. Then I saw who could use it.

Why do some mobs have equipment that isn't for their class?

# Jun 26 2004 at 2:01 PM Rating: Decent
Maybe they were planning to twink their little brothers/sisters but got ambushed by rude players like you. NPCs have rights too,you know %]
Or maybe he isn't very bright which is why you were able to kill him. If he was smart enough to equip something he COULD use appropriately maybe he would've kicked YOUR rear.

Naming policy

I know Sony gets upset when we use names from popular fiction and things that would infringe on copyrighted material...

Would the company that makes the Pentium chips be upset they named a hammer after them?

I'm still looking for AMD's Hammer, because it's faster and cheaper...

Price in Bazaar
# May 23 2003 at 3:41 AM Rating: Default
Just my Smiley: twocents worth, I just got one in the Bazaar on Terris-Thule Server for 2700pp... there were 3 of them selling ranging from 2700pp to 4k

That price of 250pp is way off Smiley: oyvey

Nice hammer
# Apr 10 2003 at 8:06 AM Rating: Decent
Best 1hb hammer graphic in the game, and nice damage/delay ratio.

Bought it for 250pp in the Bazaar. Cheapest I've seen it go on 2 servers. You will be very lucky to find one for that price. And no, I will not add that price on the data because I do not see it going that low consistently.

Intel's Hammer
# Mar 30 2003 at 7:12 PM Rating: Decent
This dropped from the tribal advisor in Dawnshroud Peaks, he appeared to be a lvl 60 euridite necro, was not an easy fight had a 58 druid no crack and 61 ranger 1251ac
and 4500hp. killed him when druid had 5% mana left
also seen in bazaar to do on luclin for 5k
HA!
# Feb 08 2003 at 7:52 PM Rating: Decent
I saw this in the bazaar and thought it was a joke the name was so funny. Especially since AMD pushed back the Hammer yet again so it might as well be Intel's chip now! I would love to go around swinging "Intel's Hammer" instead of the springwood club I now use (and for those of you who don't own one, it looks exactly like a splintering club). But alas, I didnt have the 990 pp he was asking. This is definitely on my list of things to buy just for the humour value alone (come on, who really needs a Black Alloy Medallion anyway)

Dont know if this was a mistake or something but this dropped off a goranga gatherer in Maidens Eye today on Test server! And a yellow feather! *shrug* :)
great for skillups

This item will sell for about 1K and is very good for skilling up your 1HB if you are a cleric. But sell it as soon as you're done cuz the stats aren't very good for a cleric. I spent a week with this weapon and got my 1HB maxed out and then sold it for the same price I bought it for.

I bought this weapon on Drinal Server for 300pp... your servers are odd i say...

850pp and worth every penny
# Aug 27 2002 at 12:54 AM Rating: Default
OK, so the person selling it had it listed for 900pp in the bazaar, with my level 30 BST I sold everything I was willing to sell and only had like 864pp. The nice vendor happened to be looking at her computer screen and sold it to me for 850pp. And Thank you Lildarla, it wasn't a line, I really only had 864 pp 5g 3s 2c to my name.

BTW, it is exactly the same graphic as the Bone Collector's Hammer I use in the off hand. It has that shiny glowing silver sledgehammer look to it with the little icon on it, with a cherry wood looking handle and a finished non-slip grip. ;) I didn't realize that my VESM was Primary only, so I guess I'll pass that on to a friend.

I was tired, but just had to go to Nertherbian Lair to check it out. It hit for over 3 times what my Velium Etched Stone Mace was hitting for. My BST can use the Wisdom, but having a weapon that hits in the 20-30 range when my 1hb is only 22 is awesome. I was only hitting for 2-9 before. I can't wait for my 1hb to get higher, gonna be rocking. With Haste and a few buffs this should really speed up the kill rate. As one person mentioned, the speed we kill is important. Also the faster you kill the mob, the less damage you or someone else has to heal from the mob(s).
A solid purchase
# Aug 08 2002 at 6:38 PM Rating: Decent
As a beastlord, we rarely get weapons that break below the 2.0 ratio threshold pre-raid/planar.

I managed to purchase this hammer for 1.5 k and found it to be fantastic for dmg out put. I use this in my primary with my Centi in the off hand, and mobs fall down much faster than they used too and my xp rate varies between a yellow an hour to hour and 20 min. Vs an Hour and a half minimum for a yellow with my centi/velium war maul combo.

Let us soloers not forget, better equipment does not just buy us power...it buys us precious time.
Sambata Tribal Advisor
# Jun 24 2002 at 10:47 AM Rating: Default
This dropped from the tribal advisor, he appeared to be a lvl 60 euridite necro, was an easy fight for a single group 55+
#REDACTED, Posted: May 07 2002 at 1:23 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Just to clarify for all who are mentioning about how much this weapon sucks... this weapon is made for a Beast lord, none of the other classes should even swing there weapon, unless just for fun. This is good for a main hand weapon.
RE: Who this weapon is for?
# Jul 23 2002 at 2:43 PM Rating: Default
Actually, this weapon is excellent for a Druid who solos frequently, as mentioned by jadespider. It also has quite a remarkable dmg/dly ratio compared to other Druid compatible weapons. A higher level guildie Druid (lvl 56) has a weapon with only 1 extra WIS, some STR & mana stats, but a 30/13 ratio & no dmg bonus. I admit, hers does proc Burn, hehe, but we can't have it all...

This hammer has served my Druid VERY well & I would certainly reccommend it to any hi-mid lvl Druid out there who enjoys whackin' a feared mob on the head. :)

Dropped my Sambata Tribal Advisor
# Apr 18 2002 at 9:06 AM Rating: Decent
I'm nearly sure that it dropped from above mob.

I've camped with some friends in the Sambata/Greyhopper caves and the mob spawned in the cave where the Age Old Rockhopper spawned before (both races are linked together, after the boss mob dies the other race spawns). I think this and some other rare are simply placeholder for the sambata boss.

You can see the hammer on the mob if he spawns.

This hammer looks nice. I've got a Velium Etched Stone Mace, and this thing looks much better. Especially now that I've started soloing again ;)

This item definately does exist. My RL hubby (36 druid) just bought one in East Commons two days ago on Morell Thule. It's a very nice waepon for low to mid-level. However, there are better items out there for primary if you do not feel the need to melee. If you do want to melee, this is a very good weapon to have.

drop info??

price...
# Feb 28 2002 at 2:15 PM Rating: Decent
Considering you can get a springwood club around 2k these days, I wouldnt pay more than 1k for this item.

A Pally in my guild says the AMD one has haste. But he is just a Pally, so who knows =p

Hell yeah, I want my Athlon's Thunnderbird Hammer. It has clicky Overclocker's Paradise, which is around 30% spell haste. Much better than Intel's.

I wonder if the person/group naming this weapon intended the dual meaning...Hammer being the code name for AMD's next generation 64 bit cpu. A little Off Topic, sorry.
Nice Hammer

Though thats 'nuff said I think I'll continue a bit. Its a good ratio AND has a decent Wis bonus. Granted I'm too old to make any kind of use of this, but if you melee like the beastlord's or still tank a bit as a shaman/druid/cleric, this is the way to go and not drop mana for it. If this looks like you guys say it does however, I wouldn't mind one at all for the times when I have to put on my badass looking gear ;)
