Mana?

The H2H classification makes this a monk and beastlord weapon ~BUT~ the stats make this more of a beastlord weapon.

Only the vicious survive and the warders are the most ferocious.

Using that logic, you can rule out monks having any of the 17 highest ratio 2HB weapons in the game. When beastlords were introduced, a lot of weapons that would have traditionally been monk only had wis and mana added to them. That wasn't to hurt monks, but to help beastlords.

In reality, this weapon is equally good for a monk or beastlord, and while Grieg is indeed a tough mob, there are guilds that can take him in which this would still be an upgrade for someone.
Monks don't need mana

But Beastlords do. Check the classes eh?
Poor ratio -- most monks would pass

If you're with a guild that can kill Grieg, this item will probably rot or end up in the hands of one of the newer poorly equiped monks. It's ratio falls into the "this sucks" category by comparison with the plethora of other mnk/bst weapons available. I could see a BST perhaps sacrificing melee damage for hp/mana/stats (rotten melee anyway, a nicer weapon won't fix that), but not a monk.

You obviously have a 60 bst that is why we should care a lick about your impression of a bst's melee ability...but let's just say that you are a bst with epic soloing in FG. You proc your slow and switch out to a little weapon like this to do some exptra damage with the proc while you are fighting. With around 230 dex which is what most 60 bst can buff themselves to i would imagine that on average you will proc this weapon more than a couple of times. That seems pretty good to me. And by the way if you are in a guild that can fight some of the other mobs that drop better items then you would know that Grieg is a ***** cat in comparison.

#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 27 2002 at 1:30 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Look at the stats man. And this ratio is better than epic fists (although slower slightly.) 10 AC, 10Str, 90 HP plus a very hard to resist proc that does 100 dd. So, no it definitely does not suck or even come close to that. Next noob please.

Yes, epic is old, this is new, and grieg is HARD until you work out strat for him. For a guild killing grieg all their monks that have been with them for any length of time will have 15/20 weapons at the very least. This is to Grieg, what that ****** 11/24 1hb is to jorleag.

Monk epic can be done by one group and is kunark era. This needs a guild raid and is luclin era.

Sorry the poster before you was right this thing isnt that great compared to stuff of similar difficulty (IV THO)

Your right, and for people how have not fought these mobs, go look at the monk weap off THO, this has got to be the easiest raid mob on luclin too. And go look at the one off IV, and IV is easier than grieg.

Don't forget about LoS's lovable quad kiting druid Abru, seems they named a little halfling in Grieg's end after her.
