I was in a basement group in Karnor's Castle last night and this club dropped.

What did it dropp off of in Karnor's? Is there an undead jester there as well?

I camped the jester for 24 hours.. not killing the halls at all.. i sat in The L corridor near to room with hole... Ph spawned a couple times.. and i never saw the jester.. :( Then I get home and my friend took my account while playing his char to continue camping the jester.. As soon as he logged the jester spawned with the club... killed him, looted and called me.. let's just say i was eccsastic !! Lol.. good luck to all...

oh one other thing, i know Exactly where he spawns and how often his PH spawn...(this fibulator still)
He spawns right OUTSIDE the room with the hole
slightly off to one side of the hallway (hole side) His place holders spawn ever 30-45 mins...
I watched him spawn there twice
(i was also killing everything in all 3 hallways, including the one with the cook)
BTW, seen the cook 15 times, No shield...

My friend saw the cook 1 time. He killed and got the sheild. Also he is trying to camp the jester for me. He has killed it a couple times and has not gotten the club. Been camping the thing over the last week.

I have been camping this guy fer 70+ hours...i've seen him once..2h FS
While i was offline someone DID get the club, and showed it to me, so it does exist

Just got one myself today after 3 nights of camping. Saw him once the first day after first hour but just droped FS, continued to camp for 5 more hours after that same night. Night 2 camped for 8 hours didn't see him once. Today logged in right after patch update was the only one there, he wasn't up killed all hall way mobs (not sure which was the PH) killed another 3 PH then BAM there he was with the club. Glad to be done with that place. TERRIBLLY BORING CAMP!

just curious .. does the jester stick to the spawn point or does he wander? if he wanders, is there a path? how far does he wander? any response would be much appreciated. thanks.

I've read a lot of messages about his spawning habbits, none of them seem to be exactly 100% correct. If you've tried this by simplying sittig on what you think his spawn spot is and waiting for him or the PH to attack you when it pops you only have a 50% chance. Pops are roughly 15 minutes but the spawn point has 2! I repeat 2 points! They are very close to one another and neither is the point on EQAtlas. If you spend some time in the hallway area you can easily locate these two spawn points. Sit at one and get a friend to sit on the other and get a good book to read (you'll be there a while).

Just so you know, I would classify this item as Ultra-Rare. It is a Rare/Random spawn, and its a rare drop off of that spawn that does not carry the club every time. (FS 2hs normally) If you are going to be camping this item, be sure to pack a lunch.

I was camping the Fingered Skel last night and a guy asks me if I know where the Jester spawns. I showed him (I had been checking it and no jester). About 2 minutes later, he /shouts I killed the jester! I got the Club! He even showed me the club - he got it. Total camp time: 2 minutes. So dreams do come true, but not for me. ( He was a 22Monk and had no problem soloing it.

i think what they mean by common is that when he actually spawns it is his common drop. Not that the jester himself is common.
Has anyone actually got this club in Kurn's tower?? Just curious.

I got one last night after about 5 mins of camping the Fingered Skelly. I was checking both spawns and they both poped within minutes of each other.

While the Jester spawn may be pretty damn rare, having the club drop off him if you do have him spawn is fairly common, that probably why its rarity is labeled common.

not hardly. Ive spent days killing those annoying peguin-mole looking burynai around the jesters spawn point just to stay awake while waiting so long for him. I dont think any item that is valued on my server at between 10 and 15k is a common. Thats funny :o)

Only 4-6k on my green server. Takes a while to camp, very lame, but a level 15 can get it with enough patience, but for god's sake get out of the dungeon and go out and try to kiss a real girl for once in your life.

dude i spent a lot of time here and never saw the club, i even saw lvl 30's hunting it. Because this is a low lvl dungeon and it is that good DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE COMMON. Try karnor's not sure if it is less common there than in KURN"S

I think Lakanar hit the nail on the head. just cos this item is rare in Kurn's doesn't mean it's rare in Karnor's.

As far as I know it's always been there.. people just camp it in Kurns because it's easier to kill the mobs there. But to balance things out I wouldn't be surprised if it were a lot rarer in Kurns than Karnors.

nice weapon but the 18dly with the 8wt is going to hurt the good old stamina bar. i guess shamans clerics and druids would like it for the wis. i sure wouldnt mind having it for the str and low dly so i can pratice 1hb.
anyway..what level do you think someone could solo the jester, mainly a warrior? late 20's? the skeles wouldnt be a problem at late 20's (they would have a hell of a time hitting you) and the burynais arent dumb-agro like skeles so would prolly leave you alone. at least thats the theory...

I solo'ed this with a 29 monk, furbies quit agroing around then. I got one and sold it for 8k, it was ok not great, thats a high price on my server. For 8.5k I bought both the paw of opalla and YAk war club. I use the paw till i run out of mana then switch. So I have more wis and better mellee power (at least when proc kicked in at 40)

I soloed this with a 22 Twinked Iksar Monk and it was very easy, not a bad camp either because most of the stuff will give experience and if your an Iksar like me you will need to camp the fingered Skelly anyways for your shackle quests. Some stuff will aggro you but not enough to cause any problems.

Lots of MOB's around there, I would guess the Burynai and I know the Skels will agro on you, sometimes even for me at 48. But if you keep the Roamers clear you can probably just fight him in the halls. He is a very rare spawn in Kurns, one week in there almost 8 hours a night he spawned once for me, no club : (

He spawns about every 3 hours, has club about once every 3 spawns. There are only a couple level 15ish mobs in the room he spawns in front of, and they don't pop very fast. If you can get to this room you can kill him.

He's like a 24 hour spawn! I watched my step dad wait in there 10 hours straight, no jester. Plus I hunt in there every time I'm on. Kurns is my home! I've seen the cook, never the jester.

I believe also 3 hours is about right, I killed him 6 times, never got the club, I saw him about the same amount as the cook, maybe more. Most of the people not going along with 3 hours say they have never seen him, so they might just not be killing the right placeholder or something. You don't have to clear the floor, and twice I was alone in kurns when he spawned.

Nope... Sorry, its a bit more rare than that. Or maybe you just got lucky. I have heard of someone getting him twice in a row. But I dont think 3 hours is the common spawn time.

He does definately NOT spawn every 3 hours. I camped the place for at least 20h, killing everything in those rooms, and he didn't spawn once.

3 hours is definitely not the spawn time. I, with 3 guild mates, camped this guy for 6 hours last night and nothing. We killed the cook a couple of times. We killed everything on the floor repeatedly for the entire 6 hours. I am a 51 Necro, so it was quite easy to let my pet go crazy and kill everything in sight. Is there some kind of trick to get this guy to spawn?

BTW in case you don't know druids and necros are great solo class, but by LVL 50 it gets harded to solo for EXP and they are not super welcome into groups like a clerics or warriors do....
Back in the days when I was a little newbie(level 12 or so), I was in my appropriate level zone getting the smack by mobs and if it wasn't by the high levels that save my butt I would of been doing a cr or two and loose my lvl many times over. One time at level 16 I got kill and a high leveler couldn't save me in time, she actually sat there by my corpse and waited for me to come back to say she was sorry that she couldn't save me in time and gave me some amazing loot that only (now I know is from Lguk) a level 40+ can get! So (IF) this necro is in this lower level zone only because he was helping out his lower level guildmates then he is a good man and not to be bad name for it.

Quiet newbie!! I'm not that high in level yet, but if he pay all that money to Verant for his account and contribute all that time to get to level 51 he can be ANYWHERE he please. Thats #(1).
(2)He could of been power leveling his guildmate, watching over them so they don't die or helping them out to get this weapon.
(3)Guild raids DON'T happen everyday and what are they going to do? Tailor some patchwork together? LOL.
I know there is places he can go to get experience (mostly in group(s)) but he don't have to, not you or Verant can tell him where he can or cannot go! For you to call him names and do not understand what I just said, you must be a newbie. I suggest you get off your butt and go get some levels. NEWBIE!

You can solo the Jester at low 20's, but where the Jester spawns, there are a lot of aggro mobs, other skellys and burynai. If a group aggros on you and you are by yourself, youre toast. Some of the Burynai are SK casters and will harm touch you. But the lvl of the jester is high teens to low 20's so easy to kill on its own. Good luck.
