While attempting to make
some elixirs, I happened to
stumble across a new type
of tonic. These tonics will
occasionally cause extra
magical damage to your
targets when casting
offensive spells. While the
ingredients proved to be
unstable in anything less
than a Platinum Embossed
Potion Vial, I was
initially able to create
two different levels of
potency using the following
base ingredients:
a Platinum Embossed Potion
Vial with Angelica and
Sunshard Powder, and a
Dragon Runed Potion Vial
with Vervian and Aderirse
Bur.

After the discovery of


Cosgrove Powder in the
Underfoot, I took this one
step further using a
Chronal Infused Potion Vial
with Infused Sticklewort
Leaves and Cosgrove Powder.

What really made these
tonics possible though was
the pairing of a Bundle of
Blue Nightwort and a Bundle
of Tri-Fern Leaves. These
ingredients are consistent
across all levels of
potency.

After establishing the base
components and active
ingredients, I set about
experimenting with
elemental attributes. I was
able to isolate five
elemental tonics in the
end. For fire I used two


handfuls of Allspice. For
ice I used two handfuls of
Benzoin. For magic I used
two bundles of Mandrake
Roots. For poison I used
two bundles of Night Shade.
For disease I used two
bundles of Mullein.

Curiously I found that I
was able to make two
additional types of these
tonics - one which worked
regardless of element and
another which worked with
Chromatic spells. The all
element tonic ended up
being weaker though, likely
as a result of being
attuned to multiple
elements. These tonics used
two bundles of Yellow Rheum
and two bundles of Sumbul
respectively.



Note - remember that these
tonics will only work when
spells of their elemental
alignment are cast.
