This spell does NOT activate when you die. It checks when you go below a certain percentage--I think it's 15%. Since hard-hitting mobs can one-round a tank from higher than that percentage to dead, this is why it seems to do no good in some cases against those particular mobs. If you are dead, you are dead. It doesn't matter if you have a DI with 100% chance of activation, if you are taken from 50% health to dead in one nuke, you get to wait for a rez.
DI good

This spell uses 2 emeralds first of all. Secondly when cast upon a person and they goto zero health or less then there is a chance it will activate casting an instant complete heal on the buffed person. If this spell activates is based on 3 things. The targets charisma, the higher the better. How many levels of Unfailing Divinity the caster has. And how much "over damage" the target takes on the blow or set that kills him. By overdamage I mean on really hard hitting creatures (AoW or most tier 2+ bosses for example) if the blow reduces the target's hit points below some point the spell will not activate.

This is good spell but if you have it buying UD3 is absolutely vital. Buying UD1 will cause the spell to check twice for activation. UD 2 and 3 will cause the spell to fire unless the target is slain due to overdamage but will heal much less damage. It is only used on raid due to short duration and cost.
Also drops from Sontalak

What this spell exactly does:

When a person has this buff on him/her, and his/her hit point percentage goes down to 15% or so, the buff then checks against the injured person's Charisma, if that check is successful, it acts as a Complete Heal on the subject and the buff goes away. It does indeed take 2 emeralds to cast (Death Pact, a similar spell, takes one *edit, Death Pact takes one Pearl*). Duration is 10 minutes, refresh is 2 minutes.

Correction...Death Pact takes one pearl to cast, not an emerald. Unless they changed it.

This spell uses TWO emeralds as its reagent , worth the cost tho and is made even better by the cleric UD aa ability

This spell uses ONE emerald as a reagent. If the player it is cast upon gets to zero health, this spell gives them a chance to complete heal rather than die. There is a cleric AA that grants a greater chance and multiple chances.

#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 15 2003 at 5:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think this spell uses a pearl as its regent, and you cast it on a target, and when they die, I believe they are instantly rezzed (?). *shrugs* would be a lot easier to read spell info then rely on me, 'natch.
