No one has mentioned that this item has the Quest tag on its description, unlike Petrifin's Eye, which doesn't. Does anyone have any clue as to what quest (if it exists) might be?

Somehow I had no other chance then killing petrifin. He just attacked me - my pet ( lvl 57 earth elemental) took him out very quick. I didn't even know he was around, but oh well my new necromancer will like it.

I got this piece while waiting for Hasten Bootstrutter to pop..... My Guide and Protector (Mitchell) the Lvl54 Druid Nailed Petrifin thinking we had to eliminate this named Mob to spawn hasten.... Results were (Freebie) for Blaeu!
Sure helps get the D/D stuff off quicker for me! and The AC wasn't bad! Saw one in the Bazaar for 65pp last week.... Hmmm I'll Trade someone this for a Rotting Hide Bracer and 100pp?! Anyone willing ;-)

so tell me is this bracer a right click effect or is it random I was really wondering. I am going after it hopefully thanks,I would apperciate some help on figuring this out.

It's a Focus Effect.
Now has "Affliction Haste I" attached to it. Good piece of twink gear for my newbie shaman. Amusingly, Petrifin was wandering around by the hill with the tower on it and everyone was just ignoring him in their mad race to get each other's hill giants. Tagged Petrifin, chant kited him down and got the bracer :)

Yep. Picked this up - focus effect is affliction haste I now.
Petrifin can be quite nasty if your resists are low. As a 59 ranger farming fletching cash in rathe, I saw him on up track with a lt blue con, figured I'd go check him out (and kill him, since he didn't he didn't seem to like me).
Non-stop stuns lasted maybe 10, 15 seconds each. His stuns came so fast I couldn't even get a root off , and he was slowly beating me down. Petrifin was owning me till I managed to slap on the resist gear in my bags. After that, I rooted him, backed off, healed up, and came at him again. Resisted each stun attempt and had him dead quickly.
Sad... If I hadn't been packing resist gear I would had my little elven tail handed to me by a mob that barely conned lt blue =-P
Whats surprising is that I had about 70MR even without the resist gear. Anyone wanting this bracer : go well equipped.

I was in RM last night helping 2 guildies with the Multiquest version of Jboots. (btw if you wanna know how to get him send me a tell. I got the AC 3 times yesterday!) =)

Took us 20 seconds to knock him down but MAN can he hit. Didn't get stunned because Wizzie was casting on him to interrupt him. He dropped the Granite Bracer and I won the roll! first time in game =)

I got lucky while waiting for Hasten at the crossroads for the Jboots quest. Petrifin attacked me, Hits hard, some were 97 dmg, and he stuns pretty well too, almost got worked, luckily I had my enchanter friend helping me with the quest... Very nice bracer, I would think a level 35 would get worked unless with a good group.

Not a bad Monk weapon. Plus it's a dark forest-green type look on you. It's pretty cool looking especially on Human Monks! Not bad for Monks either.
note it's non-iksar though. seems iksars get excluded a lot from some pretty good items. anyone know the logic behind it? racial AC bonus or something?
