its insulting to think they would put a wizzy on this item
It's more insulting to see a great piece of gear like this rot because Sony is too restricted on it's Class/Race exclusions. IMO these pieces of gear that have several different stats for multiple Class/Race combo's is good idea. If this went to ROT - I would die. Rather see Wizzy get it LONG BEFORE that happens. imho.
because they would have no use for a caster item that has 235 hp, DoT Shielding, FT2, and Spell Shield?

Probably because they have no use for the healing focus which can be hard to come by. I don't find it "insulting" though, but it would be a shame if a wizard got it when others can benefit from the hard-to-get focus. As a druid who would LOVE that focus effect (and whose guild will be attempting this fight soon.)
I would be miffed if one of our wizards took it instead, but fortunately my guild is made up of very reasonable people, so it's unlikely that one would, knowing how badly myself and our other healers want an upgrade to our current focuses.
