first, the mob hit a DRUID in my raid for 1600, so I doubt a tank class would EVER get hit for 1800. It's not like this mob quads 1600 the way AM does, that's just it's highest hit. <IF> you have one of the ever-popular idiots in today's EQ that levels to 70 with 0 AAs -- they might get beat pretty harsh, and they deserve it. Personally, I think any tank class that goes beyond 62-65 without getting CA/CS etc is a complete moron and I won't bother grouping with them. The strat/info posted by Augur is 100% correct, and this mob is fairly easy with good DPS. I won the bracer with a 10-person raid, one tank, 70 druid and 70 shammy did most of the healing, 59 clr was there to throw in what they could, and I mainly kept leopard on as many people as possible. Thanks to all those who helped me get this piece of joy!

First of all he hits for 1800 max not 1600 ur druid must have got lucky /shrug. My friend who boxes 5 toons tried to take him and failed with some very well geared toons. He does triple or quad like most fabled I have tanked 1800 hitters on my bard with this friend and have yet to see a fabled of this level who doesn't at least triple.

And this item is very nice for a 1800 tripler, I consider this bracer almost as good as the tipt one and that drops from a 2k quader.

Max hit on me was 2170, and I'm pretty high ac with decent shielding.... So, he has one helluva high hit.

Great! If anyone on Innoruuk server sees this rotting send me a tell. My Paladin is Matthyas and my shaman is Grummer.

Seriously this item isn't useless at all. The stats are pretty exceptional, although I do think Sony made this year's Fabled creatures harder than they should be in terms of having them ALL stun immune, making them high level, and hit pretty hard.

they didn't CHOOSE monks b/c this is a CHAIN item... like the other posters said, each kunark class item that they made into a Fabled variant was opened up to all classes that can wear that type of armor... so stuff that was warrior only is now equippable by plate classes etc... stop trying to min/max every damn thing!
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 17 2005 at 6:34 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Retarded: to make this shaman or ranger useable with mana regen. It's always been a rogue only item. Rangers aren't going to throw and neither will shammys. Once again showing the devs disdain for rogue's top ten issues. What they should have done was make this summon better throwing items (throwing items below Ton Po's are pretty much useless). Zerker's could use this, but again the summoned throwing knives are pretty much useless with a 50 range and no stats.

u need shush befor u start ************ because if you noticed all the fabled class items, are then 1 class useable now.... as in fabled jaudcined legs look 4 classes can.... all the fabled are changed liek that so more then 1 class cna use class old class specif non fabled 1 class only, the fabled more thne 1 class, now you need to learn what yer talking about.... the fabled elder spiritist look them too.... so it is good not just for rogue only man learn what yer speaking about befor you say how dumb so and so is or what nnot

Errr - I totally agree with XR!
I don't know how you play your rogue, fooo - or if you got that rogue to level 60+ by yourself or if you baught it on e-bay... Throwing weapons for rogues are not bad at all, especially if you are hunting things that are low enough that you can get a Finishing Blow (AA ability) or ASSASSINATE them (come like critical hits at level 60).

Those two abilities DOES work for rogues using throwing knives, but NOT for rogues using a BOW for example... Also, with a 'Deadly Strike' - I do about 65 damage with the summoned knives from the regular non-fabled.
Besides, the unlimited ammo from something that summons is never wrong... And here's another trick for you if you don't like the range on them.
I play rogue level 66 on Tholux paell server and this trick worked as late as the day I'm writing this post:

Put a stack of summoned knives in your RANGE slot, but in your AMMO slot, put arrow/s with range 150 or whatever better range you can get your hands on. Thanks to a little bug in the game, your summoned knives will now have the range of the item in AMMO slot. When the last knive is thrown from your stack in RANGE slot, the auto-reload from inventory won't work because of the different item in AMMO slot, but it's fast enough to manually just put another stack in RANGE.
Enjoy your longer range knives. :P

what would mana regen 3 due to a monk/zerker? look at the stats, yes it is good for those classes due to mana regen.... and yes it would be good for monk due to stats but thne look at weight 4.0, monks get good items, they are not ac based, they are mostly agi now and dex few str somtimes good stam with hp, agi for the evasion/dodge line of skills, and sorry man your wrong on this
Quote:
- Also, it's a well known fact that the dusty soriz pouch is about the best you can get for thowing items outside of Ton Po's. The problem with throwers is that you have to unequip a desirable stat range item for poor stat throwing item. So, even if you use the trick Faremoni speaks of you are still losing stats. And... summoned throwing daggers are about as useful on a pop progression raid mob, in particular ep raids, as shooting an elastic - even with deadly strike.
i dont think rogue/zerker/shaman would even be pulling on raids...

well you think wrong. ive seen shamans pull potime, ive seen rogues more than effectively pull many raids e.g. murglider queen in WoS etc.
have not seen a berz pull though, im sure they could if they paid attention and knew what they were doing

Dropped tonight off Fabled Froglok Chef. Done with 69 paladin (9500hp buffed u, Ranadil RULES), 70 druid and 70 shaman with spirit of leopard. Hit for 1600 or so max, average 950. Mostly slowable. Lots of hp. Easy pull with pacify: just lull other 4 pops and pull with stun or other non-dmg spell. Watch enrage. Immune to snare/root but does not run. Otherwise straightforward. Fight on stairs just before chef room.
