If you actually considered what the state of the game was back when the people saying he's a hard kill, which he is for people who aren't geared 5 or 6 expansions past him, and you'd find that they are mostly before PoP came out and the people saying it after pop came out are generally referring to taking him with people who'd actively want the loot he'd drop for their main not alts.
I dont think this helmet is ultra rare.

I saw some one auctioning this badboy off on the market channel.... wasnt 200k tho.. a hell of a lot less
I was wondering if this helm can be customized via the quests from Velious? If anyone has any info it would be appreciated. I love this piece of armor.

No, it cannot. Crown of the Kromzek Kings, Cowl of Mortality, and velious plate quest helms can be customized, however.

There are now confimed drops of a 70ac and 80ac Cloaks in Vex Thall along with 65-80ac BP's in those areas as well. I don't know the "soft cap" on ac but I've seen warriors with ac of 1700. Seems unbelievable but true. Bah, I'm only at 1100! So the highest ac item in ga,e is no longer Cheastplate of Fiery Might or Breastplate of Rallos Zek (If there is one I haven't seen one yet). Well, there ya go. A little clarification for the masses. ;)

There is no breastplate of rallos zek. It was a fake item. Though with PoP comming out and we'll be able to kill Rallos Zek himself, maybe VI will make one? Shrug. Who knows what verant is up to, btw very nice helm, grats to the warriors who get it and the guild who kills this mob. Know it'll be awhile before I get my hands on it. Only time it won't go to a warrior is if all the warriors in the guild who kills this mob allready have the helm then they'll probably random the helm. :P

For the person who asked. Yes the Avatar of War drops the Chestplate of Zek. Adds higher numbers on the same stats that the Chestplate of Vindication (off Derakor the Vindicator) and Chestplate of Eradication (off Statue of Rallos Zek) do. It's sort of like a heirarchy on those 3 mobs, one spawns after the next one dies and each harder mob drops similar but upgraded versions of the same loot (at least in terms of the BP's) The AC on the Chestplate of Zek is 75. Right now thats the highest AC ever on a BP, but not the highest AC in the game on any one item.
aye it was a fake; highest ac bp is heavy yttrium breastplate, followed I believe by Jieney's two-tone cuirass.

The Chestplate of Zek posted on spoiler sites was a Fake. It doesn't exist.
The AoW sometimes takes a few Statue's to be slain in order to spawn. Enlightened Dark on my
server Tarew Marr had to do the Statue 3 times
before they spawned the AoW. He is quite a hard
kill though.

little correction there: Statue is a 7 day spawn, not related to Vindi.

Vulak'Aerr drops some very high AC items as well. Seen the shield drop once and the axe twice. Not sure if this is correct, but I haven't seen anything yet, first hand that is, with higher AC then these two items.

Well everyone should know by now the highest ac on a bp is now 80ac. Great shadow platemail. Comes either from Aten Ha Ra or Lord inqusiter Seru. Don't remember wich one Exactly. When PoP comes out no doupt there will be bp's that have 100ac.

I nearly spit when I saw the AC on this bad boy. 55ac for a HELM? Good god.. is there a Rallos Zek BP out there? How much AC does that have? 90? Whoever sells this item needs to be committed immediately!

as a warrior, i would take the helmet of rallos zek over hobart's without hesitation. hobart's is still a great helm, especially since other classes can use it...but the AoW helm > hobart's for a warrior.
