If you want dex gloves there are better things to get with less trouble. Grey flesh, for example, give 10 dex, 6int, and 25 mana, and some other stats too, I forget. If you are lacking of dex as an int caster, they would be far superior to these, and they aren't that expensive either, about the price of coldain skin gloves from what i have seen. Drop in the grey.
Edit: looked up stats on the gloves, 6ac 10dex 6int 6wis 20hp 25 mana 10 sv cold int/wis casters can use.

I saw a lots of people whining about this set of items for caster.
After thinking a bit I came to a conclusion.
If a caster havent the oportunity to be in a big guild and get high end loots, he will probably equip himself with cheaper tradable items that gives a lot of int, with of course lack of other stats.
Around 230-240int is enough for let's say an enchanter, since he can int buff himself. So considering items with stm for hp, str to carry his weight, or even some agl for more ac bonus if good on an item, especialy with soma mana on it, but c-mon...

maybe it's just me, but lately I havent seen many caster meleeing saying "cool new weapon dont you think? I know I should be nuking-mezing-doting, but I just can hold myself for making my weapon proc with my new 10dex gloves"
Thinking about it, I DID have seen a wiz from the bigest guild on our server meleeing spiders in Velk, making his primal velium 2hb proc avatar evry 10sec to have fun, but i'm sure he had Much better stuff that those gloves anyway *cough-vulak drops-cough*
Anyway, always fun to see some diversity among new items, even if some looks somewhat useless...

I have to say, I am with Buu on this one. Straight from the mouths of Verant themselves, dexterity is a MAJOR necessity for casters. Pick up one of the Prima EQ books to find out exactly what verant says about attributes and skills.

dex is an important stat for casters. It is what your chance to regain your consentration to cast. making you abill to get that root off or re mez a mob that is beating the crap out of you.
